But seriously, I love you guys. You can make fun of our English system of measurement and ridiculous health care system now.

Probably working for a portion of the day, and then we usually barbecue with friends.
I'm "that person" with the maple leaf paper plates and colour scheme of red and white.
Plus the kiddos always get a t shirt from Old Navy or somewhere. #patrioticaf

From the GTA, not planning much. Have a really good fireworks display in my town so will watch it. Otherwise not sure, zoo's closed so can't do that this year. Maybe it'll reopen by then!

We usually go to the cottage but can't this year. I need to look into what celebrations will be happening locally

We always celebrate at our local rib fest and carnival that has a free concert. Then we end it off with going to see the fireworks.
The fireworks finale always get me teary because it's so grande and in red and white.
I always get emotional that day because I'm so grateful and proud to be Canadian.

Hi! Jumping in. I live in BC. I usually end up working but hopefully I can get into the mountains and go do something fun with H. We run, hike, and love camping.

I usually end up working at our city's Canada Day celebration. If i don't get asked to work, it will probably just be a small backyard BBQ.

I ordered from Children's Place this time. DS (7) loved the hockey themed one they had. Hockey sticks form the flag.

I'm laughing at "#patrioticaf" being in the same post as buying a Canada Day shirt from an American company. Not saying you're doing anything wrong, it just made me giggle.
If only it were easy and affordable to find Canadian clothing companies. I miss Zellers. They were great for kids clothes.

Joe Fresh (Superstore/Loblaws) has cute Canada day gear. I love Joe Fresh. I wish their clothes fit my kid. Her waist is too tiny and torso too long for their clothes - everything is so boxy!

Yay Canada! I'm an immigrant so I make a big deal about it and get super emotional thinking about how lucky we are to have had the opportunity to move here. Pre kids we would day drink at a park and watch the fireworks from our rooftop. This year we will have friends over for a BBQ. I bought my kids their Canada tee shirts last week at Joe Fresh.

Oh really? I find they fit my kids pretty well and they're tall bean poles. Most of DD's clothes are from there. I wish I had half her wardrobe.

The shelves in stores were empty, waiting in line for basic needs like sugar and coffee. My dad fled the country when I was 3 and we didn't get to see him for 3 years because we were denied passports. I'm always so grateful for the life we have now. Sorry I'm getting a little misty eyed over here. On a side note I've never heard the term "dayhome" but I think it's in home daycare? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We'll most likely be at the cabin, wearing our "Canada" T-shirts and hats, eating BBQ and day-drinking.

If she's older than mine, maybe it's just the baby/toddler clothes. My daughter is 2.5 and she's off the charts for height but 50th percentile for weight. The only clothes that consistently fit her well are Carter's.

So glad you're here now! Yes a dayhome is an in home daycare. I'm learning it's a term more common in the prairie provinces.
