Thinking of our TX ladies today!

Morning!
A tropical depression/storm has parked itself off the VA Coast so it's storming here today. I foresee catching up on laundry and trying to keep the kiddos entertained indoors in my future.
Also, I finally joined the 21st century and got the Wonder Weeks app. Hello, leap 7. It reminds me of Dante's 7 circles of hell, except this keeps going.

Is it just raining everywhere right now? We've had a lot of rain the past couple days too. Nothing like TX though. How are things classymrsa tgrimes?

I brought the cupcakes to work.. along with a salad for lunch. It's all about balance, right?
I might eat one now.

I could use a cupcake right about now! My oatmeal is just not cutting it. That's all I've got so far...

goldenlove Sunny, gorgeous. It's 70*F right now. No more rain for us. Hopefully getting a fence estimate tomorrow.

Raisin Bran Crunch or just Raisin Bran? There's a difference! I got really excited when you said CFA because on Wednesdays we get CFA at our grab and go station at work and I forgot - it's not Wednesday.

OMG. As if by magic, my H just walked in the door with CFA breakfast. They did command PT this morning and he stopped on his way home to shower and change. ETA: tjanca22 plain RB. I've never had The Crunch variety, although if it's anything like Smart Start I'd probably love that, too.

C and DH are at the indoor trampoline place for 'toddler time'. I actually hate it, but they have so much fun. I have a really hard time distinguishing between when my anxiety is justified vs when I'm just being "extra" or like "helicopter-mom".

Ugh seriously CFA needs to open up here. I guess I can go to the fancy mall food court 30 minutes away but it's not the same.

Morning!
It's sunny and warm here. It's been in the upper 80s low 90s most of the summer and frankly, I'm over it.
Our fair started last week and we can hear all the music and people screaming on the rides from our house. I can't wait to go and eat corn dogs and funnel cake and anything else that looks like it contains roughly 4000 calories!

I will definitely take M to the place around here because kids seem to love it. But, I hate trampolines. They scare me for so many reasons. I think of all the other stupid stuff I did as a kid that could have (and did) land me in the ER and, well, guess the controlled environment of the trampoline park isn't *too* bad. I'll still wear my pearls so I can clutch them though.

CFA uses soy as part of their mix to plump their chicken up so I can't have it. Cruel and unusual punishment right there.

I wish instead of everyone saying "the housework will wait" when M was teeny they would have said "sit and watch TV now because you'll never be able to do it again" instead. Today's rainy day is perfect for watching movies...when does that start? 3? 4?
Edit: start meaning when will she want to sit on the couch and watch a movie

I'm hosting playgroup today. Got a bunch of fruit, cheese, and crackers so I have stuff to nibble. I did get mini cinnamon rolls, muffins, and coffee with vanilla creamer for the other mommies.
My club is holding a diaper drive for the victims of the hurricane. I'm thinking about organizing a bake sale as well, though it'll be unofficial and probably after we get or Fantasy Football (for charity) going and Spirit Night (fundraiser to help club members nation wide who have disasters...like a hurricane) next week, though. 3 service projects at once is enough for me right this second...
Otherwise, I got hired to tutor a kid this year starting on Thursday. And I've lost 5lbs on my low sugar diet. It's motivating! It's cooler this week so I'm hoping to start running again, too.

Re: leap 7
M developed this new cry over the weekend. She'll cry normally for about 30 seconds and if she doesn't get what she wants in that time she will scream as loud as possible. Its shockingly loud and the first few times she did it it scared us enough to do whatever to make her stop thinking she was hurt. No. She just wanted to get her way. So of course now she does it ALL THE TIME.

Any fun activities to be done during play group today classymrsa? I love hearing about all the stuff you do. It makes me wish I could get a playgroup of my own started. Maybe one day!

To be fair, he's only 3, but that kid does not want to ever just sit on the couch and watch a movie, or even a TV show. I mean, I'll watch, but he has to also be playing with his cars or running in and out of the room, or climbing all over the dog, or something else he shouldn't be doing.

Glad the rain stopped classymrsa! Thinking of you tgrimes. Love Raisin Bran. So delicious. We are finally getting a CFA here. They just broke ground. It's going to be a good 30 minutes from me, but that's worth it right? sophiegrace leap 7 is terrible. I was reading the signs this morning.. Becomes angry when put down? YUP. Cries more often? HELL YES. Whines more? JFC YES. Thank god for alcohol.

Morning. We are en route to the zoo today. We may be crazy because it's in the same city as the NYS fair that is currently going on so I'm thinking we'll hit a ton of traffic. It was either the fair or the zoo but I feel like the kids will get more out of the zoo right now.

waitwhat "unconsciously plays with your emotions, such as naughty or nice, to get your attention" No WW, no. That shit is 100% on purpose. She knows what she's doing. I like to read that part of the leaps off to H and we laugh and laugh and laugh. And then pour more alcohol.

Has anyone purchased the whole book or chapter? I just paid the 99 cents since I have a credit in my app store anyway. Not sure if it'll provide anything useful but why not.

waitwhat, 30 minutes is about how far away our CFA is from us, it's definitely worth it. sophiegrace, yes! He doesn't stop moving ever and it seems the little guy is going to follow in his brother's footsteps. I think relaxing on the couch is a thing of the past.
