I wish instead of everyone saying "the housework will wait" when M was teeny they would have said "sit and watch TV now because you'll never be able to do it again" instead. Today's rainy day is perfect for watching movies...when does that start? 3? 4? Edit: start meaning when will she want to sit on the couch and watch a movie M started right around 3. It was glorious.

sophiegrace C sat for movies at around 2.5 (depending on his mood and what movie was offered). I alternate between whether that's a good or bad thing, but I don't know how I would have made it through 1st tri if he hadn't.

Has anyone purchased the whole book or chapter? I just paid the 99 cents since I have a credit in my app store anyway. Not sure if it'll provide anything useful but why not. Yes. I own the WW book. Do you want it? I don't really follow it much anymore. I'll let you know. The chapter I just bought doesn't seem to have much more info than the app.

I can give you my log in if you want to read it online. Don't buy it yourself.

I bet they would make a bunch of money doing that.

I mean, I'll watch, but he has to also be playing with his cars or running in and out of the room, or climbing all over the dog, or something else he shouldn't be doing. +1 My DS has exactly zero interest in TV. He used to ask to watch MMCH, listen to the opening credits, then leave the room and do something else until the end when the Hot Dog Dance came on. Now, I just cut out the middle man and ask Alexa to play those two terrible songs for him.

I fucking hate the Wonder Weeks. The book, the app, all of it. And even if I didn't hate it, I'd still agree with tgrimes that it isn't worth buying the book. I have it on my Kindle and haven't so much as glanced at it since DS was like 2 months old.

Why, oh why, is it so hard to get motivated at work? I had a really good night's sleep last night but somehow I'm just dragging today. Things have been so slow here since my trial in June but they're about to pick up big time so I really need to find motivation somewhere.

I am so drowsy. I just put C down for a nap and am letting her fuss a bit; if I didn't have to worry about B burning the place down i'd go take a nap.
Today is definitely going to be a TV/movie day. #MOTY

He'll sometimes stay in the same room as the TV, but he's always playing with something else. I think MMCH Halloween musical episode was the only one that he actually sat there and watched the entire thing. Probably because there were a bunch of songs.

+1 to MMCH theme and hot dog song. C loves ALL theme songs. When he was a wee little baby, I was binging 30 rock and he always loved the theme. We just used Parks and Rec as our background show and everytime the theme came on he would stare at the TV.

Do you plan on using it once you're there? I'm bringing our full size and just gate checking it. If we weren't using it for the trip I'd just wear her and then take her out once we're on the plane. My umbrella stroller would never make it through an airport sprint.

sophiegrace, we planned on wearing him but DH is now concerned. Outside of going thru airports, and our trip to the USS Missouri, I had no intention of using one... and I'm not sure how stroller friendly the Pearl Harbor tours are!

We brought one the first time we traveled on a plane with DS, and gate checked it. I actually did end up wearing him through most of the airport and we used the stroller to cart some of our bags. Once at our destination we did use the stroller while out and about in Raleigh.

Work is so dumb right now. I literally replied to an email with "I don't know whether to laugh or cry".
We added a new feature to software last year that can be easily turned on or off. This year instead of just turning it off, they took it completely out of the software. I said it was a stupid idea because I KNEW they would ask for it back but they still took it out. Well now they want it back and they want it next month. I'm sorry not gonna happen aholes.

Hello! We are off work today. MIL came over and stayed with the LOs for a couple hours while we did the most glorious adult things...like walk up and down every aisle of Tj Maxx in peace and quiet. It was heavenly.

Regarding the Wonder Weeks, I didn't download the app yet bc it has an old credit card on file for Apple (shows how much I use it). But online I'm seeing it says it starts about 42 weeks. And goes to about 46 weeks I think right?
Is that (a) an estimate and/or (b) is that based on delivery date or due date?
I read that supposedly once the fussiness ends baby will do things like point to what they want, use items to help them walk, tries to undress himself, knows what comes next in sequences ...
SoAB and AV are at 42 weeks. They've both been clingy as all hell for couple weeks, literal hell clinging to my legs and pulling on my pants and crying as I was a dish, refuse to play alone together, etc. But now AV is doing a lot of the things this article said they'd do - can I get excited that even though it's only 42 weeks she might be wrapping up the nasty period?

I'd just gate check your regular stroller. You should be fine on the Pearl Harbor tours with a stroller. You may already know this but you can't baby wear on take off & landing.

Yeah maybe I'm better off not knowing what's ahead 😣 But between teething and crawling and these developments, I am getting my money's worth out of these kids. On many occasions I find myself saying out loud "makes sense, you're a baby, that's what babies do..one point for you"

kleigh It says with Leap 7 that the first (fussy) phase starts about 40 to 44 weeks after due date. The second development phase starts around 46 weeks.

And occasionally things do line up well. But, LBH my chick is full of thunder even on the longest WW sunny streak.

Hi. We officially own two homes weeee! So I am absolutely broke haha. We get to move into the house in two days and our other house should close in about 3 weeks then I will only be half broke . Yay for finally getting settled and C finally back in his bed in his room. I am guessing he will need some serious sleep training but that will be happening asap.

Congrats on the closing aggiebug! @cheshie I used an umbrella stroller by Summer Infant with B until he outgrew it, and we pitched it during the move bc it wasn't that expensive and the canopy broke at some point. I've heard good things about Maclarens. I agree with others, though, I'd probably just take your regular one if you think you'll need one at your destination!
