And now I'm bawling at my desk. Thanks misskilljoy. I was crying this morning watching Houston footage and now this... I am very emotional lately. It was a great story though.

misskilljoy I should not have read that story at work. I'm crying. That is incredible. Disney really does go above and beyond to create the best experience for people.

At the work leadership training I attended a few weeks ago, we were talking about how creating a customer "experience" is important, and it is what keeps people coming back to certain brands. The top 2 companies we talked about were Disney and Amazon.
I didn't realize this (but it makes complete sense), but Disney only has one of each character in the park at any given time. Because if a kid sees Mickey in one place, and again at another that logistically doesn't make sense, the magic is ruined. They do a bunch of a little things like that.
I'm so excited to take DD in January to Disneyland. So, so excited.

I haven't been feeling great the last couple days, so after two hours of work, I sent myself home.
I'm having a Jennifer Anniston movie marathon.

My mom bought our stroller for us! We ended up getting the Joovy ultralight caboose sit n stand. We also got the optional 2nd seat so we can use it as a more traditional double stroller if needed. I think it will end up being more helpful for when the grandparents are watching the kids, but I think we will get good use out of it too. I can picture DS throwing a fit that the baby gets a seat and he doesn't ... sigh. Two more days of work before I'm all done! I'm so excited. I know that people are sad, but timing really isn't bad for me and I'm excited to not have a 45 minute commute one way anymore! Spending an hour and half driving every day is NOT fun and is really unpleasant 30 weeks pregnant. I still need to get to the store and figure out what we want for a stroller.

Was super busy yesterday so trying to catch up today misskilljoy +100 for being so hot all the time. I’m always a hot person but it’s so bad now. laurensc927 I’ve only heard of the cross one. I think she’s playing too many cards here. grumpycat We’re also starting potty training this weekend (well I guess I should say changing the way that we have been doing it) spacecadet I hope that the headaches are nothing too serious. And I’m overly emotional about everything these days – it’s like my tear ducts just have an excess of tears that they must get rid of LOL AnnPerkins So jealous of your Nashville trip. My BIL emailed H about coming to visit in October and H responded with “Well we don’t have any specific plans but I would tell you that the later in October you come, the more pregnant Peggels will be.” BIL had no idea what H was talking about LOL thatgolfb So jealous that you actually went through the clothes already and set up the PNP - maybe I’ll do some clothes this weekend roloma I hope you pass the 3 hour. I failed the 1 hour and passed the 2 hour with flying colors so it’s possible. quinn It’s been glorious fall weather here for the past week or so and everyone is complaining except me – I’m loving it! beefinch I have no advice because I have the same exact issue with DD. The only thing that has worked is if I really talk it up in advance and I bribe her. If you listen to me and sit in the cart real nice, then I’ll stop and get you Munchkins on the way home. I swore I would never bribe my kids….oops (and I totally blame DH for his because he picks her up whenever she asks). paperbagliz I hope you feel better after some rest.

DH really wants to take the kids to Disney soon. We haven't used our season passes as much as I think he was hoping we would this year because of this pregnancy. He's eyeballing a fall break trip in October before the baby is born or in November after she's here. I would stay home for both, which I'm totally cool with since we do go a lot. If neither of those plans work, we will all definitely go around MLK day, which is close to DD's bday.

My husband is broken. He NEVER wants to go to Disney World/Land ... ever. I despise crowds and still want to take the kids when they are older (like 7 & 10 maybe). He's suggested that we con our parents into taking them and that we will fly down with the kids/fly back, but go on our own mini vacation in Florida while they are going to the parks.

If you take the time to plan your trip beforehand, you can easily avoid most crowds. One of the great things about Disney is that you can make your visit fit your need. If you want to ride hardcore all day, do it. If you prefer hitting one or two rides and chilling at a resort pool, no problem. Disney for all!

I may be broken too. My ILs keep talking about how we are going to need to take DS "soon" and I just would rather do some other vacation if given the choice. Maybe because I have never been? I don't know. It just seems a lot of money to deal with a lot of people everywhere.

One of my friends from college is actually a Disney trip planner so I'd probably hit her up for suggestions/advice. I think he will eventually come around when the kids start talking about it down the line.

We've always planned to take an epic Disney vacation once the kids are around 5 and 8. I tagged along with my brother and SIL when their kids were those ages and it was perfect- they were old enough to (mostly) walk around without a stroller yet they were young enough to embrace all of the Disney magic.

My husband has never been to Disney but I bet he'd be into it once the kids are older. He loves amusement parks. I went for the first time in 3rd grade and I think that was a good age, I still remember it and had a lot of fun.

I ordered a new crib yesterday from BRU. The plan had been to transfer our son to a big boy bed and use his crib for the baby, but he's been sleeping so well in it lately (knock on wood!!!) and not trying to climb out at all, and when we talk about him getting a big boy bed and giving his crib to brother he gets upset. SO new crib it is. BRU had a good sale on Delta cribs FYI, for anyone in the market. 20% off plus a free crib mattress. I had some Rewards R Us points to redeem plus a bunch of gift cards and we only spent $50 out of pocket on it. I'm excited.

That's a good deal doxiemama! I'm a disney lover Even with the crowds and heat, it's still awesome. I think it's like AnnPerkins says, there is just so many things to do there, you can't get bored. We'll go to the parks all day, relax at the pool in the afternoon, then go out for amazing food and drinks in the evening. I'm not a lay on the beach kind of person, so I think that's why I like having something to do during the day. Hope you feel better soon paperbagliz! I went home and slept for 45 minutes on my lunch break, it was glorious! I was just feeling bagged and kinda crappy, even though I slept great last night. I'm back at the office now, but hopefully it turned things around And someone brought in an edible arrangement, which is like totally underrated. So currently eating chocolate covered strawberries!

They are very sweet people. It's one of my "degrees of separation" celebrities The other is two degrees ... my aunt knows Peter Dinklage.

I would love to go to Disney land. I LOVE Disney films. But you know, the Atlantic Ocean and all 😂 Haha, proximity definitely helps! We only live 1.5 hours from Disneyland so very doable. This will be our first trip, but I am sure we will go more when the kids are older. At almost 4, I think DD will simply die of happiness. Especially now that she is super into Disney movies! And she is tall, so she can do a lot of rides. Just hoping she will actually want to do them lol.

So. Many. Contractions. Both BH and actual painful ones. Why, body, whyyyyy?
In better news, my kid was standing naked beside the tub and started poking at her vagina and whining. I asked if she had to pee and she whined more, so I took the gamble to carry her downstairs to the potty chair, and she peed in it! She's only 21.5 months, so it's exciting. I'm planning to use my long weekend in October to hammer down potty training and this makes me hopeful.

Oh I love Disney too! We went to Disneyland for our honeymoon. We room DS when he was 18 months to Disneyworld. I'm trying to convince DH to go back to Disneyworld in February! Everyone thinks I'm crazy. Lol. My SIL got engaged a month ago and now apparently may have her wedding in Arizona (both her and his parents have houses there as well as here in Canada) in February. So if we do that instead, mah try to convince family to head to Disneyland for a part too.
