The weather was very nice this morning, so we went for a walk and then played in the backyard some. My legs are tired and my hips are killing me.
Not sure what else we're doing today except the grocery store.

cythe I made cookies the other day and was so tempted to lick the bowl. It took everything I had to immediately throw it in the sink and fill the bowl with water. Great weekend so far over here! DD's 2nd birthday is coming up on 9/7 and instead of getting her a present we took her to see the Jurassic World exhibit. I was worried she'd be scared but she LOVED it! We got her a stuffed dinosaur and dinosaur t-shirt to open on her birthday.
I don't remember if I shared here but DD was diagnosed as farsighted with astigmatism so she needs glasses. I was pretty torn up about it. Well, her glasses came in on Friday and she is ROCKING them. I'm so proud of her.

I made the saddest enchiladas for lunch. I wasn't aware that I had 0 cheese in my house. What kind of self respecting enchilada has no cheese?

chitownsully that sounds awesome. A Jurassic exhibit is coming here in september and I wanted to take DS. I hope he's not scared. H and DS are getting stir crazy already. I'm just hanging out and eating chocolate chip cookies.

You guys are have been hoppin! this weekend. We're having a lazy weekend here which is nice. Hubs is out walking with DS to the "froggy" pond and I'm having my 2nd cup of tea. Hopefully DS is behaving. We've been having a grand time with his whining, talk back, bargaining, adamant attitude the last couple of weeks. Sigh 😭😩We have a ways to go until he gets to 4 which is when the pedi says he'll begin to get on with the program, until then...no amount of reasoning is going to work or we'll just drive ourselves mad. I just have to try to keep everyone and myself calm in the dusky house and not lose our shit constantly. CoachTsWife, I too have started having hip pains esp. on my right which I had with DS so no surprise there. Also been having RLP the last several days. Not fun.

What do you think the carb count is for that cookie dough? FWIW, I've only had cookie dough twice this pregnancy, and the first time our recipe was so awful I hardly ate any. But still - I know the babies are putting on the pounds now and making us more hungry. Sorry to be the delivery mechanism for temptation 😅😩 Google tells me there are 59g of carbs in 100g of cookie dough. That's probably not good - right? I do have a "healthy" cookie dough recipe that another gal from the toddler board - she swears by it and gave it a high recommendation. It's base is chick peas and the ingredients list doesn't look too bad (considering we are talking cookie dough here). It is such a lazy day at our house today. H is worn out from an overnight fishing tournament Friday night and I'm wiped from a busy day cleaning/having a shower yesterday. Thankfully DD is being an angel and is happily and quietly playing with her toys while we chill on the couch. Happy Sunday all.

Does anyone have the Planet Wise hanging wet/dry bags (typically for cloth diapers)?
Because of limited nursery space, I was thinking of using 1 for diapers and 1 for regular laundry. I'm not sure if this is a dumb idea or not because 1) I'm not sure how much they hold and 2) I'm new at all of this and have no idea what I'm doing.

All this apple bread talk has me buzzing for fall so I fell into Homegoods trap of buying harvest and pumpkin candles and Halloween towels.

August Blooms Happy birthday!! curmudgeon Hope it clears up soon, stay safe! Low key weekend over here, just worked yesterday then hung out with H and DS. It's been cooler/rainy, so no walks to the park lately. I think (thankfully) DS finally understands that we can't go out when it's raining, so he hasn't been asking. H's parents are coming over tonight, we're going out to dinner for MIL's birthday at one of my favorite restaurants. I'm pretty excited. In the meantime, DS is down for his nap and I'm thinking about doing the same.

Went out for dinner, no one got me a cake but I did have a really good dessert. I think DD was more upset about the lack of cake since at daycare they always have one when it's each kids b-day. The look on her face was hilarious, she was a tiny angry toddler. On the plus side I got a Sephora gift card and some money to treat myself, which is probably going to some nursing bras. I'm just ignoring that I'm officially closer to 40 than 30. This is what I ate, well the closest thing on the internet that I could find... peanut butter ice cream, caramel, a peanut butter chocolate shell, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Sorry GD ladies!  |

We keep a big step garbage can in the bathroom where the diaper sprayer is and that worked really well for us. I know lots of people use the hanging one and seem to like it but I don't know how much they hold |
