Not gonna lie , I've eaten my share of raw dough this pregnancy. I think it's both the raw flour and eggs that's frowned upon. However, I'm pretty sure it was thatgirlrachel ( or someone else here??) who introduced me to The Cookie Dough Cafe (they have a store locator at their website but I get mine at Walmart) and I've felt much less guilty about this indulgence. I think it was this rachel that was guilty of that mmmnow I want some I was going to say don't blame me because I learned about it here too. Hahaha. I think I did mention the store locator at some point though. That stuff is delicious!

My husband emailed today and mentioned that he had a dream about Ev last night. I was all 😍😍😍 until I kept reading and he said she had a bowie knife behind her back and was using it to get out of her carseat.
Men...

curmudgeon Glad you guys are safe - we have friends in Houston and I'm worried about them. I am thinking they lost power and are conserving phone batteries, because I haven't heard an update. I don't want to bother them though. Stay safe and as dry as possible! thatgirlrachel So great to hear you had a nice shower! That sounds wonderful 😊. Also, I will happily send you a sample of the cookie dough...will probably take a week and a half to get to you if I send it via the local post and will be rancid and moldy from the transit heat, but it's the thought that counts, right? 😁 cythe Your husband's dream...omg men! He wants her to be a little commando already huh?

mkrupar Taitai rebeccabunch @whoeverelse caresaboutmyPTsaga So I just got home from work and DD had ZERO accidents! I think you are right rebeccabunch about a power struggle phase because that's exactly how she was behaving... I actually don't have a book or anything I've just kinda been winging it based on other people's plans. rachydc Like for support, DD is transitioning at daycare 2 weeks before my due date and then to PT. So many transitions coming up. Sorry about all the stress at work, I'm glad everything is cleared up. Last pregnancy I had a yelling incident at work too. curmudgeon glad to hear you guys are safe. thatgirlrachel Sounds like a nice time at your shower. cythe lol at your h's dream, I thought it was only the pregnant ones that get to have those kinds of dreams.

August Blooms Taitai I suppose I should just feel fortunate that he didn't dream she was stabbing people, Chucky style.

racegurl87 i can read it just fine! Thank you for posting. This sounds delicious. It is. I make it multiple times every fall. There's a local area with a ton of apple farms and the past 2 years I've gone and gotten some of the fresh apples (and other yummy goodies) they have and it tastes so much better than using store bought apples. I normally use Fuji, but got Macintosh this time and it still tastes amazing

Taitai ok that looks amazing. I might have to make it tomorrow! rebeccabunch and August Blooms PT solidarity. It helps to read your sagas. Yesterday was good, he was naked all day and only had one accident. Today is ok, he does great when he's naked but clothing is not so great, he peed in like 4 pairs of shorts. Haven't successfully had a clothing-to-potty session yet. But he has pooped on the potty several times and no poop accidents. We're going to keep powering through tomorrow and then I just hope he does ok at daycare Monday. He has also refused undies so we're just going commando for now.

Had a fun but busy day today! We took the dog out to run and play fetch this morning and she got hot and decided to swim in the storm pond. Immediate bath required, she was so dirty and smelled like duck poop. Then we took DD swimming and while she napped I uploaded and organized a bunch of pictures for DD's yearly photo book and to print. Made delicious potato/corn/bacon chowder and fresh buns for supper tonight. DH is out dividing hockey tickets tonight (we split season tickets with a couple friends) so I get a quiet evening of Netflix to myself!

We've moved all of DS's clothes and stuff to his new room. I went ahead and put some newborn diapers in the drawer of the changing table, because why not (I'm using the top of his new dresser for him now).
At one point I asked if he needed a fresh diaper and he said yeah and started heading down the hall towards the nursery. I went to his room and called him in there, and he came in with a newborn diaper, lol. I told him I didn't think it'd even cover one of his cheeks.

Oh and a shopping PSA for daycare moms.
Name Bubbles has a 20% off code for clothing labels. I just write DS's name with a sharpie for now, but I'm going to use the labels over it for #2.

I normally use Fuji, but got Macintosh this time and it still tastes amazing Awwww...this sounds like such a fun tradition! Reminds me of my childhood. We always went to apple orchards in the fall (when the weather was nice and brisk and sunny) and picked apples. My HS boyfriend's family had this ancient apple cider making machine (seriously - it was cast iron, operated via hand crank, and like 100 yrs old, handed down in the family from generation to generation). The entire extended family would get together at the grandparent's farm and spend an entire weekend making apple cider from the picked apples. Plus apple pies and apple cider donuts. Fantastic memories. Sadly, no seasons or apple orchards where I live, but hopefully we'll go back to the states in the fall sometime to take DS and LO on a real apple picking adventure!

Taitai thankfully the apples are already picked so I just had to grab the ones I wanted. They had other fruits & veggies too so I grabbed some peaches, strawberries, and plutots. H had a peach today and said it was really good. They also have tons of different pies, cider, apple beer, apple wine, apple juice, donuts, turnovers, other pastries, apple butter, fruit preserves, applesauce, and I'm sure that there's a lot I'm forgetting. There are a ton of farms but only a couple are open year round, the rest are from around Labor Day-thanksgiving

Oh man, I can't wait for cider to be ready! It's still a bit early in my area for my favourite apples. My faves are generally ready late September/early October. Of course, lol. Hoping I can talk my mom into making me a bunch of applesauce this year, since I don't think I'll be able to do it myself.
DH finally got the kitchen painted, so we're done with that huge project until we save up for the floors. So happy to have it done! Now time to get serious about super cleaning in prep for my kids birthday party here in a couple weeks. Also need to get my freezer meals going.

Up for the day, H is tired since he stayed up to watch the fight. DD pooped in her night time diaper since it's my birthday H gets to change it. Dinner out later today, I still have to decide where to eat and hopefully cake.

August Blooms happy birthday! My H went out for the fight too. I have no idea when he came to bed but I'm guessing he will get at least 3 more hours of sleep this morning than me. You should get to sleep in on your birthday!

Happy birthday August Blooms!! H spent the night with us at my dad's but had to go home early to take care of the dogs. Only a couple more nights of him having to commute so far away and he can be camping out in the new house.

Happy Birthday, August Blooms!!! My hip is really hurting. Not sure what I did. It started before bed so it wasn't how I slept. :/

I spent the morning going through baby boy's nursery to sort through everything and see what I still need to buy. The list is actually pretty short, thankfully. Also it was super fun going through everything and seeing things I forgot I had bought. I can't believe tomorrow marks 5 weeks from my due date!
