Also - I hope all is okay for anyone living in TX or with family located in the areas affected by hurricane Harvey. @crumudgeon Is all okay with you and your family? I heard Corpus Christie and Houston are going to get the worst of it. T&Ps for all the TX/gulf coast O17ers!

Taitai Best thing pregnant me could have woken up to this morning. I can't wait to try it! Up early to get ready for work, last shift before my days off, yay! Potty training was a fail at daycare yesterday. DD was in diapers and had ran out of clothes since she had 4 accidents and was refusing to go to the bathroom. I guess we are giving up? I don't know? I'm at work today and H is taking care of her so I'll leave it up to him.

I'm at work today and H is taking care of her so I'll leave it up to him. Yay! Hope you like it when you try it out! Sorry about the accidents at daycare. Which day is it? I will say that DS had some regression when we started putting on clothes and our book said to power through. It eventually clicked and then he was able to keep his clothes consistently dry at school. Do whatever you guys think is best though / your DD will get there eventually! |

Taitai It's a week today since we started. H got DD up and put her in undies so I guess that's what's happening today. He has to go do some errands so 🤞 for him. At least he can drink if it's a bad day!

At least he can drink if it's a bad day! How old is DD? My friend recently had to take a break from PT and went back to diapers. She's going to try again in a few weeks. |

Morning ladies!
I got up at 7:30 to feed my jerkbag cats and decided to have a bowl of cereal at that time. Now my body is still tired (and wanting a nap) but it's also sugar rushy and jittery. So, so much for an early morning nap.

FWIW, I've only had cookie dough twice this pregnancy, and the first time our recipe was so awful I hardly ate any. But still - I know the babies are putting on the pounds now and making us more hungry. Sorry to be the delivery mechanism for temptation 😅😩 Google tells me there are 59g of carbs in 100g of cookie dough. That's probably not good - right? I do have a "healthy" cookie dough recipe that another gal from the toddler board - she swears by it and gave it a high recommendation. It's base is chick peas and the ingredients list doesn't look too bad (considering we are talking cookie dough here). Taitai lol yeah 59 grams is no bueno. That's like twice the amount I typically eat for a meal. I've seen the other recipe before. Blech to chick peas. I hate beans.

This weekend's baby projects are to remove the wallpaper trim from the nursery (quail on a forested field not exactly the look we are going for), take off all the fixtures on the walls/ceiling, then go out and buy all the paints and things so we can start painting over Labor Day weekend. I'm out of breath just thinking about it (but I'm basically out of breath all the time now so that doesn't mean much haha.)

I had the most stressful week ever. I really thought something was going to happen to the baby, that's how stressful. My hormones were at an all time high. I don't handle stress and last minute emergencies well at all. In the heat of an intense argument, I yelled at my client "I'm 8 months pregnant and working my ass off for you!!" Emotions were high on both sides. ANYWAY, that's all cleared up. Everything worked out and is now 100% behind me!! But now I'm like "Woah, I'm 8 months pregnant!" I just yelled that to be dramatic, but it's actually true! Crazy.
In other news...
DD starts in the older DC class on Monday. They sent home their curriculum and plan to start potty training...in OCTOBER. UGH. They couldn't wait until after baby? DD isn't really showing any interest or signs, so who knows if she'll pick it up. I've become very #breezy on the subject. If she responds well, awesome, if not, we'll just keep on keepin on. Whatev.

DS isn't doing pee accidents but we had another poop accident yesterday and he is resisting when it's Potty try time so it's a power struggle each time. Your DD is likely just doing the power struggle thing too. I'm going to reread the problem parts of the book today. Do you have it? If not, I'll cliff notes it for you. |

Ugh, sorry about your week rachydc.  I'm glad it is behind you now and I hope you can rest this weekend. Today I washed the newborn sized baby clothes from DS. I also moved his 'name' wall art from the nursery into his big boy room. The big boy room looks so good and the nursery is a wreck. I'll get there....I hope. |

It seems we get a heavy downpour every hour or so as this thing turns and then it's quiet. They are saying it's stalling and then will turn more towards us so the rain isn't stopping anytime soon. We don't know anyone where the center hit but the damage further south looks pretty bad. |

Happy weekend! We've had a busy day so far. Picked up and assembled our new kitchen table, moved our old table into the office to be used as a desk (yep it's that small, 29x48 I think), and put the stupid old desk out to the curb (it was picked up by scrappers within an hour). It was no easy feat between MH's immobilizing leg brace and my various pregnancy pains, but we moved slowly and I am ECSTATIC with how it all turned out! 4 years in and our house is still definitely a work in progress, but I love the feeling when we do tackle something that's been on the list forever.
The best part is that MH fought me on the table for yeeeeears, he ordered this one online a few weeks ago because he "didn't want to hear about it anymore", and I've now been vindicated with a "you were right, this is better." TOLD YA SO!
DD is napping now, and I think I will follow suit.

DD and I went grocery shopping this morning. I bought cookie dough (the kind you can eat from the jar, non baking kind). It seemed easier than making it - not that your version does not look absolutely delicious Taitai - I'm just a little too tired to make it this weekend. We're at my Inlaws this afternoon. They had a few baby calves this week that need bottle fed and DD is in heaven helping feed them. Here's to hoping she's this helpful in 6 weeks!! |

Glad you got everything like you wanted it! rachydc, sorry about your stressful week. Is anyone else counting down until they can have their first glass of wine post birth or is it just me? cythe, I'm so dumb (naive?) that I wouldn't even eat cookie dough ice cream until recently. Someone on DD's BMB was talking about it and they basically all laughed that I was avoiding it while pregnant. Needless to say, I've had a few bowls of ice cream since then.

I had my shower earlier today and it was perfect. Small and intimate and just how I wanted it. Baby boy got TONS of clothes, some burp cloths, bins, diapers, and wipes and other stuff we really needed. I was so worried about having the shower but it really turned out great and we got a lot of stuff we needed. Now I'm resting after a busy day. I guess we are ordering the fight tonight and having our friends over to watch with us. They have a 3 week old that they'll bring so I get to get some newborn snuggles too. Pretty great day overall!

Got my desk, sewing desk, and filing cabinet moved out of sequel's room. Just waiting on the call from BBB that his dresser is in so we can get all his furniture. We're leaving H's desk in there until after MIL comes to visit and we can get rid of our guest bedroom set.
We went out to breakfast this morning at our favorite bagel place and it was a nice change. H is napping and DD and I are hanging out downstairs.
