Good Morning Ladies! How are we doing!

Good here! I teach 3 barre classes today but in between DS and I are hitting up Hobby Lobby to buy what we've been eyeing for his big boy room since this week it's the stuff on 50% off sale.

Today is a no-daycare day for DD, which is actually nice because we're going to meet up with friends for lunch at a place with a play area.

It's also nice because unfortunately she hates daycare this summer. They go outside to play in water each day, and she's scared of the water.

In fun news, anatomy scan is tomorrow! I can't wait to find out what we're having!

G's teacher is here so I am eating a yogurt in peace while they play and she learns. MH should be home in a half hour or so and then I am heading to work for a few hours.

Just sent an email to our accountant to get her help on an IRS audit letter we received yesterday for 2015. They claim we underreported income and owe them over two grand. No thank you. Looks like that year I had a corrected W2 and the IRS may not have gotten the updated W2 from my employer so this SHOULD be an easy fix, but nothing is ever easy with the IRS.

We got the letter yesterday after business hours so I had a stressful hour or so trying to figure it out on my own. With a bathroom remodel coming up and baby expenses I don't want to have to pay the IRS more money. I was really relieved when I found the most likely issue and now it is in the hands of our accountant to confirm I'm write and write up our response to the IRS.

I have to love that we have less than a month to pay in full or contest their findings or we pay more in interest and penalties but when they keep our money longer because "reasons" we don't get interest back from them...

aprilz81 how frustrating and stressful! Hopefully it gets straightened out asap.

I remember a few years ago when I was on unemployment when a school district laid me off and the state ended up saying that I owed some of ti back because I was on the sub list or something 🤦🏻‍♀️

Trying to keep afloat here. Drowning in beginning of semester emails. DS is going camping with MIL tonight and tomorrow night before we can join them Saturday (his first real sleepover). It is going to be SO weird to be without him tomorrow as Fridays are usually our day together.

DH does freelance work in addition to his full time job and used to rent out his old condo.  Our fees are closer to $300, but she is worth her weight in gold for the extra deductions she is able to find us.  We could probably do this ourselves, but we get to keep more of our money when she does our tax returns.

Hey! I posted the topic and ran! I was talking to DS daycare director yesterday about when he's going to move to the 2 year old room. He turns 2 on Monday but they won't move him until the following week. 😑 She did say that he's been transitioning and spending half and some full days in there already and that he's doing extremely well. She also told me he needs to wear Huggies Little Movers Diaper Pants in there (he already does) bc they do potty training!! YASSSS!

Fingers crossed that its a quick and easy fix with the corrected W2, what a pain in the rear.

Just sitting in my truck in front of Costco since DS passed out on the way. I think he's got a bit of a cold so I'm happy to let him sleep as much as I can.

At our anatomy scan the tech was super weird about baby's sex. He knew we did the rest and found out it was a girl but he wouldn't confirm and said that the radiologist would include it in his report. He was super sketchy about it so now I'm thinking baby is a boy..... I'm not upset per se, but I was praying so hard for a baby girl and just think it would be a cruel joke for the blood work to wrong. We will find out tomorrow at my doctors appointment but I'm fighting the urge to just call them and see if they have the report just so they can tell me what it says

That is weird.  The techs will usually confirm sex unless they honestly can't tell but won't give other results since they technically aren't qualified.

Did you do your dna bloodwork on the early side of the window?  That might affect the ability to pick up a Y chromosome...

Your test was the one you order yourself right? I have heard of that one being wrong... 😕 It probably isn't but that's weird that the tech wouldn't just say. Didn't they show you between the legs on the screen!? I mean at 20 weeks it's obvious either way lol. There's either a penis there or not.

DS and I ran some errands this morning, and now he's down for a nap. Contemplating a snooze myself because nighttime sleep is a joke.

We went to sesame with a friend this morning and had a great time. It was so low key. We hung out in the wading pool for a while, then saw a show and that was basically it but it took 3 hours somehow, lol. DD did awesome asking for the potty and using it several times there but then she peed in the carseat!

Today was all logistics trying to get my car to the shop. It needs a new windshield and an inspection, but DH's car chose last night to go on the fritz. So it was running around to other family members' houses all day borrowing cars and returning them.
And doing it all with a grumpy DH because of his car. He insists he knows how to fix it but if he doesn't take it in I'm betting he ends up broken down on the side of the road later this week. At least he has AAA!

Maybe you just had a goofy tech. FWIW, I stared right at that V sit (aka potty) shot with both my boys and didn't know what I was looking st. I've also heard of babies being uncooperative sometimes and not showing the goods. This could be what happened.

If your blood test was wrong you have the absolute right to upset and we will be here for you. That doesn't mean you are unappreciative of a healthy baby but just that your expectations were set and the outcome changed.

Anyone heard of the predicated fetal sex from screens like Counysl, panaroma, MaterniT etc being wrong? Not as in, we mixed your results with someone else's sample but it said X and ended up being Y?

Thanks, I needed to hear that! I got upset with her when I saw the pee and I've been kicking myself. It actually was my fault I think. She said "go potty" when we were leaving but then when I put her on the potty nothing happened. I should have waited a few minutes and had her try again before I got in the car since she had expressed the need to go. She just can't always go on command for some reason.

My midwife said there's always a slim chance but it's very rare. If it is wrong, it's that they told you girl when it's actually boy. If they say it's a boy, that means they found a Y chromosome which is obviously not possible unless it's a boy. If they say girl, that means there was no Y found, however there's always that teeny tiny chance that there just wasn't enough of his DNA in your blood for to to be detected yet.

I'm no expert of course, this is just how I understand it/what I've read.

Thanks everyone! I call my doctor but she hasn't received the report yet. In Canada it's different and the doctors office is completely separate from ultrasound offices so they don't quite work together. I'm gonna cal back at the end of the day and check in again.

The tech said baby's legs were crossed over the parts. At the beginning he was like yup looks like a girl, little while later he says "actually take what I said back because I can't really see that well and I don't want to make that judgement call" so I really don't know
