waitwhat love you. Didn't shed tears but I may have had to excuse myself to go collect myself a bit ago. Every minute of sleep is a fight and when this MF dog wakes her up for no GD reason I actually have to restrain myself. He woke M up ten minutes into her afternoon nap and she's been screaming for almost two hours now. I'm now very aware that my ulcer is nowhere near healed. Fuck. Wine. Your H better bring you some. Hugs to you as well. And dashook. May there be wine in all our futures!

Ugh, I'm sorry. Those days are so hard. I wouldn't mind it so much if they would be cheerful when they don't sleep, but obviously that is not the case. I've just been informed that D's only nap today was from 1:30-3, which means that she is going to be a holy mess when I get home I wish I could courier pigeon you some wine right now. It's terrible. I haven't had a day like today ever. He just won't sleep and wouldn't eat. I had to tap into my freezer stash to make him a bottle. He drank about half and then I put the rest in a sippy cup and he pretty much drank that, which I feel better about. He's just a whiny mess. Like so whiny. And I feel like such a loser because I actually shed tears today. I'm just feeling super defeated. Blah. LT for hugs! You are not a loser. I have so been there. You're an amazing mom and even amazing moms have shit days like this. It is exhausting, and emotional. I want to add that I find one of my biggest triggers personally is any issue with nursing or eating. Idk, maybe it's a biological thing, but I totally feel anxiety when D isn't eating for whatever reason; it can and does send me into tears.

And then I pumped and got droplets but I'm sure the stress wasn't helping my supply. I'm nursing him now and all is well. He's already passed out for the evening. Thank you 😘

Re: clothing size - I just broke out the 12 mo clothes. My mom thinks I switch too early but I think I wait too long!
AFM: Cheers! I had 2 tonight! Work was the day from hell. I even had to log on at home after I got O to bed and cooked dinner.
O has an ENT appt tomorrow morning. We were referred by our ped for multiple ear infections. I'm worried he might have to have another surgery (tubes).

My dad is disoriented and has a fever. He thinks he's in GA or FL and is calling my sister by the wrong name. They want to either send him to a skilled nursing facility or keep him here to do acute therapy. We don't want him going to another facility. He was expecting to go home tomorrow and will be crushed when he realizes that isn't an option.
I forgot how hard it is to see someone like this. My mother is getting really frustrated with him and I keep reminding him he can't help it.
If he doesn't get a roommate one of us will be staying with him tonight. We don't want to leave him when he doesn't know where he is.

cookswithwine The tubes should help. FWIW, a lot of N13 had tubes. The procedure is pretty quick and easy. You still worry about them though. I think H might be headed for tubes soon, too.

That sounds extremely hard and upsetting tgrimes. I'm really sorry it's not going smoother. What do they think the fever is coming from? Can we do anything?

cookswithwine good luck at the ENT. If he has to go the tube route I hope it's exactly what he needs to get rid of those nasty EIs. I imagine that's so hard to have to think about though.

cookswithwine B had tubes put in when he was around 17 months old (he didn't have a history of ear infections, oddly enough, but fluid had built up and was adversely affecting his hearing and speech). Feel free to PM me if you have ?s--it really was a breeze.

Hi all. Long, busy day, but DH is home!
We've been catching up on Broadchurch, and the lasagna and brownies turned out well. It's nice having another adult around!

That sounds extremely hard and upsetting tgrimes. I'm really sorry it's not going smoother. What do they think the fever is coming from? Can we do anything? They're not sure. The blood work came back normal but no one has read his chest X-ray yet. It took them 9 hours to read his arm X-rays so.... My sister is going to stay with him tonight and I'll stay tomorrow.
