D woke up at 3:30 and has been awful ever since. Luckily MH got up with her for her second wakeup at 4:30. Ugh. My tiredness level has been maxed out for over a week now with no end in sight. Her two front teeth broke through on 8/10 and 8/14, and now I'm pretty sure the next two are on their way 😩

That is the absolute worse danib! Yikes dashook. I hope the teething isn't too terrible for her.

Also this baby has been wearing a mix of 12 and 18 month clothes for about a month but I think as of today I have to start packing away a lot of the 12 month stuff--at least anything that's one piece (like all of the adorable rompers I bought her at the beginning of the summer) because they're getting really hard to snap.
It's going crazy fast with her, you guys.

I can't believe it's only Wednesday. I'm so damn tired. C woke up multiple times throughout the night again, twice because he rolled over. And his second bottom tooth broke through too. I just want to sit here and do nothing this morning but I already have a conference call and multiple emails to deal with. dashook I've been slowly putting 12 month away too. It's insane!!

+1 to putting 12 mo. sizes away, especially one pieces like you said dashook. I've done a little fall shopping for C and the clothes are so cute! Going up a size makes me 😢, though. Sorry for the rough nights danib, dashook and goldenlove. Sending caffeine IV's your way.

Morning! Reinforcements are due back today (aka DH is coming home)! I am going to make lasagna and brownies for tonight.
I really need my kids to coordinate their sleeping-in schedules. C was up at 6:30 but B slept til almost 8. Wtf, kids. Its nice being able to ease into the day with the less demanding one, but darn. I'm sure tmrw will be the reverse.

Sorry for the hard nights ladies. dashook I'm thinkingnwe may have more teeth coming as well. We're gonna head to the park shortly and pack a picnic. There us a splash pad, which C loves. Hoping H enjoys it too, but he's pretty iffy.

+1 on the coordinating sleep schedules flamingo. That is why I cannot wait for J to be on 1 nap. They both wake up around the same time (6:30 am) so I'm used to that but I can't wait for them to both take a nice 2-2.5 hour nap at the same time during the day. What would I even do with all that alone time?

I'm drinking coffee while reading my book. Once my mother & sister wake up we'll head back over to the hospital.
Why can't I ever sleep when I'm sans kids?

I just pulled out the 9 months stuff earlier this month, but I have a bad habit of making them wear clothes that are a little too small.
MH lets me sleep in every weekend because he's a beautiful man. I usually sleep until 10 or 10:30 if we don't have any morning plans. I love it, but sometimes it feels like I wasted half the day. I should probably start getting up closer to 9:30 instead.

Combining households is...interesting. My ILs didn't really prepare so we don't have closet space, the dresser in W's room is full of other stuff, and on and on and on...We haven't even talked about the kitchen other than she says we will prioritize my stuff and she can take other things to their retirement home. But then every night H and I are trying to get organized and MIL just kind of chills out so it's hard to actually make progress. I don't want to just move her stuff so we can only do so much. H is probably going to have to say something if this weekend is more of the same.
MH and I live pretty lean so being surrounded by all this stuff is jarring. My parents are the same. A huge house with every closet, dresser, and hutch full. I can't handle it. This experience is going to make me a Kon Mari devotee.
Anyways, we are just trying to get on with life and slowly integrate. But I don't know how long it will be before I can come play regularly because this process is going sooooooo slow.

My dad is coherent today so that's good. They got him to stand up last night but he doesn't remember it. LOL.
The therapist just came in to ask a bunch of questions before he gets started. They're going to do an ultrasound on his arm to rule out a blood clot though. He was complaining about it hurting a few days ago and now he can't raise his arm. His elbow looks pretty swollen and I think it may be broken. The night nurse mentioned doing an X-ray but this nurse wants to do the ultrasound first. Hopefully his dr comes by soon.

tgrimes glad to hear your dad is making progress. FX it's nothing serious with his arm! I'm sitting at the car dealership right now, instantly regretting coming here by myself since I know exactly zero about cars. All I know is mine has 211K+ miles and isn't going to last forever. So really I'm just here to get some ideas about potential models that would work for pur family and budget. But I just know I am going to feel pressure to buy!

starbuck, I would have a hard time with that as well. My ILs are similar, their house is really cluttered and it makes me anxious every time we're over there. tgrimes, that's great that your dad is doing better today! Hopefully his arm isn't broken and just needs some rest. dashook, what kind of car are you looking at? We'll probably be in the market pretty soon for MH's work car since he's got 195k on right now.

I have an old Highlander right now but they are $$$ so I'm looking at the RAV4. I found one that I really like actually; it's a 2015 and only has 29,000 miles on it. The only real difference is that the RAV4 doesn't have a third row, but we don't actually need one of those right now and if it comes up in the future, we can always trade in. I think I want to pull the trigger on it. I just have to get DH on board and figure out how much we want to pay up front. I'm excited! Edit to tag jubilantsquirrel too!

Awesome dashook! I'll just say that we bought a Nissan Rouge last year and I love it. There is an option for a 3rd row also (we didn't get one though).

J is driving me insane today. He's been up since 10:45 and hasn't nursed since 9:30. He sucks for a few seconds and pushes me away and cries. He's so overtired. I left him in his crib and he just stands up, bites the railings, and smacks the crib with his hands. I pick him up, he whines. I put him down and he whines. I give up.
Basically, if I had wine in my house I'd be drinking.

I wouldn't mind it so much if they would be cheerful when they don't sleep, but obviously that is not the case. I've just been informed that D's only nap today was from 1:30-3, which means that she is going to be a holy mess when I get home I wish I could courier pigeon you some wine right now.

I haven't had a day like today ever. He just won't sleep and wouldn't eat. I had to tap into my freezer stash to make him a bottle. He drank about half and then I put the rest in a sippy cup and he pretty much drank that, which I feel better about. He's just a whiny mess. Like so whiny. And I feel like such a loser because I actually shed tears today. I'm just feeling super defeated. Blah.

waitwhat love you. Didn't shed tears but I may have had to excuse myself to go collect myself a bit ago. Every minute of sleep is a fight and when this MF dog wakes her up for no GD reason I actually have to restrain myself. He woke M up ten minutes into her afternoon nap and she's been screaming for almost two hours now. I'm now very aware that my ulcer is nowhere near healed. Fuck. Wine. Your H better bring you some.
