Good morning everyone!
I have a facetime appointment with a recruiter tomorrow morning - I had applied to a posting they had on Indeed and she reached out to me to set it up. I am mildly hopeful, but sad that I've been applying for a month now and this is the first call I've gotten. Maybe if nothing else, she'll give me some feedback on my resume.

Morning!
Finally pumping, my team meeting took freaking forever. I stayed home with N yesterday bc she had a fever Tues and was sent home, and she did have a little ear infection, but seemed pretty fine. She is so busy though, I forgot about this stage..minimal work was done.
We are finally ready to get pre-approved to start really looking for a place. I'm looking for lenders and am emailing with a real estate agent that seemed lovely from an open house, but my dilemma is that my sister's bf (who is almost an older sister to me) is an agent in town as well...but she's kind of upscale (like lists homes 3x4 times our budget), so I don't know if she'd know the price point we are working with as well and public schools. I guess I should reach out and ask if she'd be up for working with us or what of we'd be a waste of her time. I would hate to offend her, but don't want to screw up and not get the best advice for our situation.

I bid on a house yesterday. It's on a pond that feeds into a lake. The backyard is completely gated from the pond and I would put alarms on the doors and the gate, like you do with pool alarms. Someone tell me it will be okay. MH is very big picture and keeps saying they're only little for a small time and then it would be so fun to have a house on the water with boys, and I always wanted a house on the water. But now that I made an offer, I'm nervous.

I don't know that I saw that one. But I saw an interview with one of the organizers and he called it a success, said they met all of their objectives and he's looking forward to making the next ones even better. There's one planned in Louisville, KY. That is like 3 hours from me. A city near us took down their confederate plaque in the middle of the night last night. Last we heard it wasn't coming down, this morning it was gone. I guess it's on a state route so until they officially decide who gets to make the decision it's down. They followed Baltimore's lead to just do it overnight. I was enjoying seeing Baltimore in the news in a positive light for once. Why they had so many Confederate statues is beyond me though.. They're saying it'll go back up now though. They were arguing over if it was the county's land or the city's land that it was on. The city wants it left alone and it is the city's land.

Cher It will be fine as long as it's gated and you have the alarms. The house we're in right now has the pool alarms. M knows she can't go out without someone going with her and pressing the button. So far we're the ones that keep setting it off. She remembers better than we do.

@klongoria glad your kitty had a good night; hope he eats soon! When I worked I kept deodorant and a toothbrush/paste at my office. FFTC: I still keep a travel-size deodorant in my car bc every so often I forget or just feel extra sweaty. Doesn't it melt in the heat? That happened to a friend of mine in HS.

Pools, busy streets, there are lots of hazards outside your home when you have kids. We just need to take proper precautions.

M is in the pool and we're going to the beach after lunch. It's MH's grandfather's 89th birthday today so we're going to dinner tonight.

GL on the interview jewels! I was thinking exactly like yh Cher, as I was reading that. It's only scary now while they're so little. And it's not like you will allow them to be wandering around alone at this age anyhow.

Cher I'm so paranoid about pools/water. G has ISR training and swims great but we did that in FL and there isn't an instructor in my city now 😠Anyhow- I recommend ISR if you haven't done it yet.

When it freezes over, they have someone come out and test it and then the kids play ice hockey on it. The wife was telling MH that and he was like in heaven imagining everything we could do. I just need to be a vigilant hawk for the next few years.

I feel a little bit like a creep. I just took a leisurely drive around the rich neighborhoods looking at landscaping. I want some ideas and I figure they probably paid good money to have theirs installed. S eventually decided she was done riding in the car so we came home to eat lunch and nap.

I'm looking at everyone's drain pipes and how they landscape around them right now trying to decide what material to use around ours.

I can't even with the BLM being a terrorist organization nonsense. Some dumbass cop from my hometown was in the news because he posted comments on FB of all places, joking that the people hit by that nutcase in Charllotesville deserved it. We're supposed to believe someone dumb enough to post that shit publicly is, in the heat of the moment, going to be able to compartmentalize his backwards views when he has a gun in his hands and he's face to face with my friends or their kids? To say it makes me ragey is a massive understatement.

I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that peach is not going to preschool this year. I need to call and release his spot and I can't bring myself to do it.. I think I'll make DH do it.

My bonus daughter got the Alta for her birthday last month. She showed it to me when she was here and I really like it. It looks way better on my wrist than the Charge. We just got MIL one for her birthday next week, too. I need to find my Fitbit and use it.
