I see my boss posted my job. It's a little weird bc she never posts jobs, that is my role here. I am not reading into it or anything. I am just wondering why she didnt ask me to do it or even say, "hey BTW, I am posting your job now." I am just kind of "huh" about it.

Hi from VA!
So yesterday was the start of the great migration home; left the house in ME at 6 a.m. fully expecting to stop overnight in PA, but we made such good time that I decided to cancel our hotel reservation and press on. The last hour or so was a bit hairy but we were home by 9:30 last night, and it was so nice waking up in my own bed today and not having to get back in the car.
So not sure if this makes me crazy or what. Today will definitely be a relax/recover day.

Did you decide to give yourself a few days between jobs?

Did the situation with the possible conflict of interest get worked out?

Morning! I ended up taking yesterday off for no reason and taking the kids to daycare. I did 2 boot camp classes and mostly just lounged around. Amazing. Back at work today, but off tomorrow as well to get ready to go up north for the weekend!

Morning, back to work today. I've spent my two days off working my ass off on various projects. So I'm kinda glad to go back to work and rest up! Yesterday we had 12 ton of pea gravel delivered for Sierra's play area. It was a lot of work to spread and it's still not done.
Today I have EEO training this afternoon. It's part of our annual requirement of 8 hrs each year for supervisors. They bring someone in to do it because they can't count on everyone to get it done through webinars.
And we have been requested to send a couple of our LEO's to another park for extra LE presence this weekend because there is going to be a neo-nazi group protesting there. One of the organizers apparently said he was at Charlottesville and he is making this one "bigger and better". Great.

Got a call from the vet this morning for an update. Ace is pretty much the same. They are going to give him an appetite stimulant to try and get him to eat. He can't come home until he eats. I got the call in the middle of my morning routine, so I forgot to brush my teeth. Didn't realize it until I was driving to work and now I feel gross. There is mouthwash in the bathroom here, so I'll probably use it several times today.

Fro Jackson's party I'm going to do the food open house style and cake about an hour in. And it's a "touch a truck" party. I'm making little tags to put in with the invites so parents know that it's only snacks and that there will be equipment around. I would want to know ahead of time. Tell me if this sounds okay: Jackson is so excited for his “Touch a Truck” Construction party! We will have snacks out for the whole party so the kids can play as much as they want and cake will be served @ 4.
??? I'm over thinking this. Party is from 3-5 for reference. Which is why I'm doing snacks. It's not at a meal time.

@klongoria glad your kitty had a good night; hope he eats soon!
When I worked I kept deodorant and a toothbrush/paste at my office. FFTC: I still keep a travel-size deodorant in my car bc every so often I forget or just feel extra sweaty.

peachsmama, I'd probably just say something like, "Jackson is so excited for his "Touch a Truck" Construction party! We hope you can join us for snacks, cake and fun!" Or something. What you have sounds ok too though.

My kids are unphased by the fact that they didn't go to bed til almost 11 last night. Both were up by 7 and C just decided a 30-minute morning nap was enough. False.

My child keeps going with the Flippers program on Thursdays. She isn't signed up for it. I guess since this is their last month there they don't care, but seriously, my kid apparently does what she wants.

Has anyone seen the Vice News story of the protest? They were there to film the protest and caught everything on camera. In the post terror interview one of the organizers said he thought it was a success and that "no one died unjustly".

But I saw an interview with one of the organizers and he called it a success, said they met all of their objectives and he's looking forward to making the next ones even better. There's one planned in Louisville, KY. That is like 3 hours from me. A city near us took down their confederate plaque in the middle of the night last night. Last we heard it wasn't coming down, this morning it was gone. I guess it's on a state route so until they officially decide who gets to make the decision it's down.

Now the same main guy from that interview, Chris, is crying because he is scared for his life. The same man saying they would kill people and wanted to. I want him to be locked up in a room and have what he said played back to him on a loop.

Good morning. Yesterday was the day that all faculty and staff helped move the incoming students into their dorms. Over 50 flights of stairs, thousands of steps and 7 mini refrigerators later, my quads hate me.
My brother still unwaveringly supports Trump and thinks his last press conference was "quality" and I just hate my family and don't know how I turned out the way I did.

They followed Baltimore's lead to just do it overnight. I was enjoying seeing Baltimore in the news in a positive light for once. Why they had so many Confederate statues is beyond me though..
