DD's bottle/breast pump things steriliser came this morning, set it up already lol.
Pram is also on its way, should be here probably Monday I'm guessing, it's being shipped from Ireland for some reason lol.
And I'm going to wash her hospital clothes tomorrow morning, just waiting on socks and tights to dry. And then I can make a start on her newborn clothes, yay lol

GDI beefinch you're making me look bad! I still have not done shit for this kid. Literally nothing. I did go into the basement and look at all the bags of clothes but they were behind too much crap so I walked away lol

The last thing on my list is our nappy bag, but it's bloody been out of stock for WEEKS now, apparently its meant to be back in stock this weekend but I'm going to email them again lol

I need to order my breast pump through my insurance ... I think I'm eligible. I got one through insurance w/DS about 3 years ago. I got Medela PISA. Are there any other pumps that I should be considering?

Are there any other pumps that I should be considering? Spectra is new to the US since then. It is a different type of suction and has more adjusters on it. Let me see if I can find the YouTube comparison video. But, if the PISA worked for you, stick with it. Medela has amazing customer service and their parts are available all over. ETA:

I'm going to try and Maverick some sort of incline with blocks and mats today during yoga. It should be interesting. Hope it works! I found a foam board and used 2 blocks to make an incline, kind of like this: It did stop the back pain, but it also restricted some of my movement/ability to do different back poses. I suppose it's a give and take.

AnnPerkins that's the set up we use for the beginning in the prenatal class I take. I think you've gotta just muddle through the best you can at this point.

My biggest baby started kindergarten today, and my eyes are sore from crying. She, however, was a champ and didn't act nervous at all. I can't wait to see her after my US appointment, which I'm waiting for right now!!

Q: when does your OB/MW switch you over to every 2 weeks for appointment's? After 28 weeks, I go to 3 weeks (31 weeks). Then 2 weeks ×2 (33 weeks, 35 weeks), then every week (36 weeks on). Obviously going to be dependent on your risk level and if something comes up between appointments. I won't be seen until 32 weeks because of my ob's schedule. So idk how they will modify it. #complicated

I'm thinking about making some food that I only make during the holidays now because I feel like they would be exceptionally satisfying (most pumpkin flavored things and some cheese based apps). And I'll be super busy during Nov and Dec and may not be able to properly enjoy them.

roloma I had polyhydramnios with DD. I consistently measured around 28. I just required extra monitoring (special US and twice weekly NSTs) up till she was born, but otherwise no complications.

When can we class ourselves as heavily pregnant? 28+3 today and the sounds I'm making just getting of the sofa and out of bed just aren't human I was grunting and groaning while getting off the couch a few nights ago and DH says, "so we're at that point of the pregnancy, eh?" Yuuuuup! I grunt SO much now.

I got a Medela double last time and it was great, but I went with a Spectra S2 this time because I have heard great things and it says "hospital grade." And my insurance covered it.

I must start 2 week appt at 30 or so weeks because I have my next one when I will be 29.5 and then 2 weeks from there. Then looks like weekly at 36 weeks.

My feet and ankles are so swollen today. That's what I get for being lazy at my desk all day. Thanks for sharing thatgolfb, that helps! I have an appointment next week at 27w6d and then start every two weeks after that. I never made it to weekly appointments with DS1 so I know those don't start until sometime after 34w. Maybe 36?

Q: when does your OB/MW switch you over to every 2 weeks for appointment's? I've been going every two weeks all along, but I think 28-30 weeks seems to be when the frequency typically increases.

I think my MW's office goes to bi-weekly appointments after 28 weeks? You'd think I'd remember. I know after 36 weeks they become weekly.
Also my MW suggested DH and I attend a home birth info session "just in case." I'm not opposed to the idea because this is our third baby and my active labour with DD1 was 20 minutes (we live 6 minutes from the hospital). However, I've never had my water break on it's own. DH is not so keen on the idea.

Between my husband the bed space invader, pregsomnia, DD having sobbing fits, and kicks to the lungs, I don't think I slept half a wink last night. Today is going to hurt. No fun. Do you have a lot going on today, or can you at least try for a low-key day? H took the day off and we did lunch with his old coworkers where we used to pive, over an hour away. Then he dragged us even further out to go she'd shopping. My kid of course had a melt down b3cause we spent all day in the car and my pelvis is now dying. I'm very crabby.

Just got off the phone with my MIL and she asks about maternity clothes and if I need more I tell her I'm good which I am for the most part and she says "they still fit!". I don't think she grasps the fact that if she goes to buy me a long sleeved maternity tee that it's the same shirt I already own in short sleeve lol. I'm sure some of my stuff will start to be too small eventually but for now I'm ok on room and length.

Q: when does your OB/MW switch you over to every 2 weeks for appointment's? They switched me at my last appointment (28w, basically, so I'll go again at 30) but warned that I will likely go straight to weekly appointments like last time, wooooooo. I think normally you go to weekly appointments at 36, like others said.
