Ugh I'm so sorry. Being sick and pregnant is the worst. With DD I got a bad cold around this time and it didn't let up until after she was born. So, so awful. Noooooo, don't tell me it lasts forever. Then I will definitely parish. I have a cold too! It cannot last through the rest of this pregnancy, I will not make it either!!!

Our fucking a.c. is broken. It's supposed to be 90 tomorrow. We are going to have to shell out almost $5000 to get a new one cause the one we have can't even be fixed. Too old.
We were supposed to go to Maine on vacation from tues-sat and I told H I don't think it's a good idea anymore. There are too many things that need our attention here and we haven't even gone school shopping or get anything for baby yet.
H isn't hearing it. Says we are going no matter what. But I'm overwhelmed by how much needs to be done and how much money need a to be spent.
Am I being OTT and overreacting? I tend to do that.

I'll join y'all on this bench. My whole household has the cough/stuffy nose nonsense. I took Benadryl two nights just to be able to breathe (and I slept like a baby).

DH took DS to the pool, even though DS wasn't super keen on the idea. I'm enjoying a cup of coffee toddler free. I did have to go outside to tell our outdoor cat to stop chasing/attacking another neighbor's outdoor cat so not totally drama free. Any diet change suggestions for my 3 hour on Tuesday? I'm going to avoid sweets today and tomorrow. Also, I've been taking my prenatal at night so I'm gonna switch that to day time. Should I be avoiding carbs too? I know it may not make a difference, but I know my sugar intake has increased since being pregnant. I'm doing mine on Tuesday too. What are you planning to eat for dinner the night before?

bazi probably a protein and a veggie, maybe brown rice. I tend to binge eat carbs rather than eat them with meals :/ I tried to balance them with protein today and did a decent job. I only had two cookies all day so I'm calling that a win. Eta for lunch I'm gonna do tuna on whole wheat bread with a salad. For breakfast, scrambled eggs, half an English muffin, and a banana. DH usually cooks dinner and he said he's willing to do whatever I'd like. I'm thinking chicken with veggies and brown rice. Snacks I will bring to work: Greek yogurt (full fat, apparently supposed to stay away from the low fat variety), string cheese, something with peanut butter (have to check my veggie drawer). I will pry have some sort of crunchy snack that I shouldn't as well. I'm human.

Sorry there are so many sickies! There have been a lot of sick people at work and I'm just keeping my distance and washing my hands. Thankfully I don't yet have a child to bring home illness to me! Today was a good day, had lots of energy for a long walk, the family bbq and to work on sanding our deck a bit. Starting to tire out now, but DH wanted Chinese food, so we're waiting for the delivery now! Does anyone else feel like they lose their conversation skills when pregnant? People ask about my pregnancy and I just don't really have anything to say about it, it's fine, I'm at a weird stage where it's kind of close, but kind of far and nothing is really happening. And then while trying to think about what to say about myself I lose any ability to ask them about themselves! Durrrr.

quinn sorry about the ac! I would probably still go out of town and try to get that last little bit of relaxation in before school starts. Especially if the ac can't be replaced immediately-Do not want to be in a house with no AC! But I can see the trip not being enjoyable if you can't stop thinking of all the stuff you need to do. Maybe make some lists for what you need for school and new baby to help yourself feel more organized?

quinn I'd struggle to enjoy my vacation with all of the other stuff going on. I would have the same freak out. Lists might help like jules1614 suggested.

quinn I get it. I have a hard enough time relaxing on vacation with kids (and I've only got 1), even more so when I've got a mental to do list piling up in my head. Is there room for compromise? Going a day late, or he takes the kids up Tuesday and you take a day to run errands solo? Massive online shopping spree? I get your H not wanting to skip vacation, but then he should also be pitching in big time to get all your school/baby prep done.

I'm having some pretty intense Braxton Hicks today. I chug water and lay down and they stop. But it's almost any time I walk more than 20 feet. Glad I have a doctors appt tomorrow.
I decided to deliver at my local smaller hospital this time around opposed to the bigger one an hour away. It's just easier with the other kids, my husband will be in the middle Of harvest on his fieldse etc. I was feeling ok with my decision until I talked to my BIL and realized he's on call as the anesthetist for the 10'days after my due date (and I've been 12 days late with both of my kids). Lol. I'm pretty set on getting an epidural too....but He said he would just let One of his colleagues know that they would be on standby for me. Phew. Dodged that bullet of not being able to get one. Lol

Check the sugar content on the Greek yogurt grumpycat. A lot of the flavors are high in sugar.

I'm feeling a bit better about it this morning I just know I'm not going to fully enjoy myself. I told H I really don't want to hear him complain about lack of funds come shopping time if we decide to go through with leaving. I also figured we can buy the boys some nice school clothes while there that no one else at school will own and some baby clothes as well! ( I love shopping on vaca lol). I also wrote some massive lists which helped calm my mind. Thanks grumpycat and jules1614!

quinn where in Maine are you going? There's some decent shopping in certain spots! We used to go up to Christmas Cove area (not too far from Boothbay) every year when I was a kid.

We've been going yearly for about 6yrs now. That's why H doesn't want to cancel. It's a tradition. There's some cute shopping places out in Kennebunk. Where is Christmas Cove?

Good luck on your 3 hr grumpycat.. FYI- you can have ice chips and see if you can stay in a recliner the whole time. I almost passed out so I got all the above but I'm sure they'd do it anyway. I passed mine thank god! Happy birthday baby quinn! Anyone else having extreme leg cramps?!? They wake me up then cause a sore leg for the rest of the day :/ I got Charlie horses a lot with DS. Try upping your calcium intake and/or eat more bananas. Staying hydrated helps, too.
