Cher I'm glad C2 is out of NICU. I wish I would have stayed longer at the hospital. I was all about getting home and I didn't realize how good I had it in there

I wanted to go home. Immediately. We stayed with Charlie just one night and I asked to go the that afternoon instead the next morning. I like my house. Same here. Arrived at 12.30, gave birth at 13.27, was home at 16.30. I wanted to get the hell out of there and back to my own house.

I didn't mind the hospital too much, I just didn't like how far away the NICU was. I was discharged on day 4 which was also the day of Sierra's first brain surgery. I didn't want to leave that night. Then the day Sierra was supposed to be discharged I had major blood pressure issues and they re-admitted me. I was furious and so upset. Because I felt fine. And I just wanted to go home with my new baby. This was Day 10. I was afraid MH would have to take her home by himself and I was convinced he would not know what to do with a baby. Lol. But the NICU doctor decided to keep her one more day for monitoring. She said if momma can't go home then baby shouldn't either. I think my H was relieved.

I would have liked to stay at the hospital if they could have figured out how to serve me a meal. But I was starving and sending Pete out for food all day was getting old so I left ASAP.

The food in Dutch hospitals is notoriously bad, they do not over champagne or anything remotely fun and the nurses are there to do there job and little else. I just really not a nice place to be.

nam2013 I didn't get champagne or anything either. (My inlaws brought us a bottle of wine though.) But I was just happy to not have to cook, clean, keep M entertained or parent in general.

Our hospital did a fancier dish then what the normally have for dinner the night lo was born. It was sparkling cider not champagne.
I also remember everything missing salt but one of the nurses gave me salt from the nurses station.
