We started Chase on a daily schedule at 6 weeks, which is when he started sleeping freakishly well (until the EIs, of course). I've always suspected the routine was a root cause, though who really knows? Colin definitely knows at this point that bath time is when we start winding down for the night.

jewels M does get a bath every night. He absolutely needs because he is so dirty from playing outside at school. The only time he may not take one is if we stay home on the weekends and doesn't go outside to play. M2 may get a bath twice a week. On other days before bed, I wipe him down with the Mustela no rinse cleansing water and change him into a sleeper. I never thought about baby wearing at bed time. That may help. I'm back to exclusive pumping😒. I think M2 has a shallow latch like M, and it hurts like hell. I planned to go to a lactation consultant at the hospital to work on it, but then thrush, so I've tabled it for now. I'm pumping every 3 hours. Pumping didn't bother me in the early months the first time, but this time it's so hard to keep on schedule with an older kid. My supply is fine, though, so at least there's that. Once I go back to work, I will probably start doing a formula bottle at his bedtime so that I can reduce the number of times I have to pump once my supply regulates.

I don't get those kiddos that don't NEED baths everyday. Both my boys stink by the end of the day. Colin is always running around and sweating, though who knows what Chase's excuse is? They both like the routine and enjoy playing in the bubbles anyway, and I appreciate non-stinky children. So much this. Food everywhere, dirt under the nails. My kids would look like they live under a bridge if I let them go a single day without a bath. Especially now that Dude is responsible wiping himself after he poops. No. That rear end needs to be cleaned. With soap. Nightly. Yuck.🤢 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ordered a timer on Amazon to keep us all on schedule, too. A lot of the time, I'll tell M 10 minutes until "whatever" or after his show we will brush teeth, etc and then I start doing something and 30 minutes will pass. It never fails. So the timer may be more for me, but whatever works, right?

@klongoria, we'd stay on the boardwalk just for ease of not using a car.
Charlie has just entered the stage where he removes his own diaper. Josie didn't do this -- it's so annoying. He's also does these tiny tantrums where he throws himself backwards. He is distracted and happy within seconds so did I find it dangerous, but not stressful. I feel like I'm parenting for the first time. .

We bathe every day -- between sunscreen, dirt, food (oh my gosh, the food schmears Charlie gets on his face, forearms, etc) we have to bathe every day.

I'm procrastinating at work. I'm thinking of visitng my parents aka going to Disneyland in January/early Feb. I can get 3 plane tickets for a total of $478. WTF? It's like they're giving the tickets away. Score! chrisy01 Is that a good time to go to DL or are they closed. I obviously know nothing. Edited for guster Good time. We rarely close for the day. It still will be busy on the weekend but the weekday will be good

C gets really riled up at bath time which is why I don't do it if he's not that dirty.

T cries if he doesn't get a bath or shower every night. He says "but I'm so stinky." I'm grateful the other 2 are totally independent in the shower now and that T likes showers because leaning over in the bathtub is getting getting to be tough with this belly.

I'm sorry tgrimes. I hope he feels better soon! Cher is that sweet boy back in the regular nursery yet? S and I are on our way home from STL. It was a very long day at the ophthalmologist with all kinds of testing and check ups with three different drs there. It went right through lunch and nap which made for a cranky girl. But....good news is they were very pleased with the results from her eye surgery. Her alignment was great, optic nerves looked good, and vision was perfect. They want her back in 6 months though. I was hoping we could go a year before check up. Oh well. S has been sick for about a week, snotty, coughing, congestion. Fever. Yesterday and today were first days with no fever. But tonight she got a massive bloody nose. It was pouring blood. I used almost a whole package of wipes. I am guessing I need to crank her humidifier on full blast tonight. And I'm hoping the blood comes out of the dress and car seat cover. It looks like a crime scene in my Jeep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

guster man I wish I could invite you to stay at my aunt's house right next to AC, that may be a bit weird though 😉. You should go though, you could take kids to OC, NJ for rides. I believe Cher can vouch for the area being fun. I'm hoping to get up there, but not sure if this month in happening.
