You're a good person vino that's incredibly generous of you. Question: did you guys join other BMB's with your other pregnancies? Yes. My other bmb switched to fb with all the moving around so that's where we chat now.

tallb tgrimes, I feel like B "matured" so much slower than S did. It's when I look at pics of them at the same stage, they are not even close. I was just thinking yesterday that I got S first haircut before 11 months and he was such a toddler already by then. Now B (who will be 1 in 5 days) is still such a baby, I could never even imagine him sitting still for a haircut! I definitely feel like I "babied" S more than I did H.

I'm getting a late start this morning. I needed the sleep after our busy day yesterday. I need to get our night time routine on track. Every night around 9pm is a clusterfuck and it truly stems from the evening. It's probably at the fault of both Mh and I. His busy season starts today and he won't be home until pretty late for the next 2 weeks, so I'm hoping I can get a solid routine established while I'm solo. Writing it out may help, so I need to get on that. Good luck! When S was that little she was always up later so I just made sure she was happy and did H's bedtime routine as it normally was before baby. I didn't bathe them together at that point either. S usually got her bath in the morning or sometime during the day.

Some of my cousins from out of town are coming to Jersey (specifically Atlantic City) for the weekend. They told us we should come down and hang out for a night or two. I don't know what to do. Being at the beach would be great, and it would be extra awesome to have a whole other set of hands to help us, but hotels for Saturday night are just astronomical (Sunday's not much better), and it's not like it's just me and mh going so it's not like we'd have late nights of fun. Basically, we'd be paying to go to a beach (one I don't really like), and eat out at a nice restaurant super early. Clearly I'm leaning to not going, but seeing family is important. Could you just go for the day or just one night?

I'm leaning to an overnight, trtlcrzy. It's a bit far for a day trip. I'm far from frugal, but it sucks to spend so much money on a place you don't care to visit.

Oh my god, you guys. So, Landon and Lucas both start school Monday. I assumed ryland did too, and when I talked to the school psychologist last week (who was brand new and obviously didn't know what was going on) she confirmed school started Monday. It didn't. It started today. Which I realized as I was eating breakfast and scrolling through Facebook and saw other friends posting about the first day of school where he goes. I mean, it's not the end of the world because it's preschool and he's went last year so we hauled butt and got him there only 30 minutes late, but i feel like a shitty mom. Like who doesn't realize it's the first day of school? Pregnant ones. I could totally see this happening to me lol.

I don't completely agree. I think he doesn't remember right and we were just as easy on M as we are on J. We're not strict people. He thinks we should be.

xolastunicornxo, so cute! Question- what does he wear the amber necklace for? I've only really seen them on babies for teething so I'm curious. Please tell me it's a cure for the 3 year old assholeness.

xolastunicornxo I am on D17 but it's really slow so it's easy to keep up. I forget I'm pregnant though. I read these other girls posts about a/s scans and all and I'm like aww, but I forget I have one next week. Don't feel bad about preschool. My sister forgot to sign her third kid up! I'm so full I can't get off the couch. After grocery shopping, we went to lunch with my grandma. I overate but then she offered me half her chocolate cake and I had to eat it or she would have and she's a 97 year old diabetic. That's good rationalizing right?

xolastunicornxo - I joined and faded on the M16 BMB. I was juggling too many boards and ended up pretty much just lurking everywhere for a week or two before I gave up trying to catch up there. I just bugged you guys with my baby questions. Also +1 to #2 being so much more of a baby. To some extent, it's because at 16+ months, he's about the size of Colin at 9 months. Plus he is a bit behind verbally from his temporary hearing loss, and Colin was an early talker. I don't really mind it though, he's it for us so I'm just taking each day as it comes.

From 0-5 months B was put to bed first and down by 8:30pm and then I started with J, she started going down 9:30-10 most nights. After 5 months, and still now, J's routine is first, she is bathed and put to bed by 7:30pm and then I get a good 30 minutes with B before his routine starts and then he's down by 8:30-8:45pm the latest.

snoopmommymom glad the interview went well! vino I love your use of the word nattering. Is that a Canadian thing? I might have to adopt it into my vocabulary. S and I are sitting in the waiting room at the ophthalmologist and I have watched one really annoying dad move seats 3 times to talk to different people. He thinks he's a comedian and he has a radio voice. I'm praying I'm not next on the hit list. I'm practicing my RBF hard and trying to look busy on my phone while S is watching bubble guppies on her iPod. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Lol no I think it's just a Vino thing, I use it with B a lot cause he just natters on and on about nothing really.

Don't beat yourself up over it. xolastunicornxo This last pregnancy I became so forgetful and it's still so bad. I can only imagine what I would be like if I was on my fourth! I basically have to set reminders for everything these days. Love his first day photo! The board is cute!

I am not a bath every day for my kids kind of girl, so that probably helps too. You could always do it after you get M1 into bed.

Yes to all this. S was huge, and B is tiny. Plus S was walking at 10 months and B is not walking at all. S was starting to be verbal at this point and was eating EVERYTHING if it wasn't nailed down. B doesn't even have 1 tooth yet. Maybe the universe is letting me hold onto my baby a little longer b/c it knows I'm bummed about being done with that time.

Lol, thanks girls for making me feel better! I totally blame pregnancy brain, plus the fact that we're in the middle of a move so I don't have the school calendars up and visible like normal. I tried to make up for me flakiness by bringing the teachers lots of school supplies and extra snacks for the kids! snoopmommymom yes it's the one from target! $5 for the win!! wineallthetime yes, it's actually been scientifically proven that amber necklaces have a calming affect on the terrorism that is a three year old. If they wear them they eat all their meals with no complaints, go right to bed at night, and never, ever throw tantrums. No really, it's from his teething days and now I think it's cute so I've never taken it off.

lahdeedah, what time do each of your M's go to bed? I, too, am not a bath every night mom either. And since I've had 2, I am super bad about baths. The baby is lucky if he gets one twice a week, and S is usually every 3rd day. That helps the routine. When B was staying up later, I would snuggle him during story time w/ S. S grew to love that time and would "read" books to the baby. Sometimes B would get fussy and it would stink b/c I'd have to cut story time short. But S knew there were certain books we could only read if there were 2 adults there (like if my parents came over or something and could hold B. I can't remember if you have any family around? Do you have someone that can come over every few nights to lend a hand? Also, I thought I remembered you baby wear. This could be super helpful at bedtime. Once B's bedtime moved up, it got way easier. I now give S the ipad or put on a show while I feed B and put him down. Thankfully B goes down easily. Then I get to snuggle with S and tell him a story before he goes to bed. He only is allowed to do this if he is a good listener, so it's also a good bribe all day for him to behave for the ipad at night You say you are pumping... are you BFing as well or just pumping? How often are you pumping?

I like that board better than the ones on Etsy. My Target didn't have any. 😒 So I paid almost $40 on Etsy. It does have first and last day on it and I can use it for both kids, but I would have preferred the $5 price tag.

Is this where I confess that we realized Sunday that we hadn't given C a bath since the Monday night before his surgery? Usually we are every day or every other because he's dirty/sweaty. Since he wasn't active, he didn't get dirty and it never occurred to us.

I don't get those kiddos that don't NEED baths everyday. Both my boys stink by the end of the day. Colin is always running around and sweating, though who knows what Chase's excuse is? They both like the routine and enjoy playing in the bubbles anyway, and I appreciate non-stinky children.

Also hi from my couch. I worked from home so I could sneak out to my lunchtime hair appointment. She took about an inch off and it looks so healthy. Next time I go, we're playing with the color again! I don't bother over the summer since it lightens up on its own in the sun.
