Was trying to think of a "w" word to put in this title and I remembered Wawa gas stations/convenience stores from the U.S. - they had surprisingly decent sandwiches if I recall...
ANYWHO....what other random stuff are we thinking about today?

DH comes home in about 8 hours. Yay! I'll be sleeping when he gets in, but I am sure I'll wake up once he lugs all the suitcases through our front door. I had him pick up some special Japanese chocolates that I really really love during his layover in Tokyo. They're called Nama chocolates from Royce, and they have to be kept refrigerated. They're kind of like these little rich cold truffle squares that you eat with a mini spatula they provide. The Japanese chocolate sellers even give you cold packs and cold bags when you buy them at the airport (so they can keep on your travel home). It's going to be hard for me to resist having one at 2am when DH comes in. I haven't had many cravings or appetite this pregnancy at all - but these are getting me excited! I am just going to remind myself of nighttime reflux and hold off until the morning. duskymonkey - Do these ring a bell at all from when you lived in Japan?

Taitai yea for your H coming home and all the goodies he's bringing! Those chocolates sound delicious and I'd have one at 2am for sure. They'd probably all be gone fairly soon too as I have no will power around things like that. Hopefully YH was able to bring all the stuff from the states you wanted/ordered.

Yay for your H coming hone Taitai! I need to get out of bed. It's early, but the electrician will be here at 7:30am followed by the appraiser au 9am-ish. After that I have to drive back to my dad's, grab him and DD and meet the realtor and rehab guy at the new house for any estimate. Busy day.

For me today, WaWa is water.
One of Hs friends stopped by with a buddy last night. Said friend happens to be a plastic surgeon but he was asking about this pregnancy and H mentioned the low to sorta-high blood pressure stuff. This friend (I do sort of vaguely know him so he's not a completely stranger) mentioned dehydration could be a reason for the low pressure and that my appointment BP readings aren't low because I probably drink water all morning before my appointments for the bloodwork/pee in cup stuff. So today I'm making a huge effort to drink more water, I got reminders on my phone and everything. I've never been a huge consumer of liquids so this may sound crazy to some but it's gonna take a lot of effort to make this a habit (albeit a good one I probably need!)
Tl;dr - I need to drink more water.

Tl;dr - I need to drink more water. My midwife said I may have a slight case of dehydration at my last appointment too, even though I thought I drank plenty of water. I have to have my water ice cold to drink it, so I started utilizing one of those 32 ounce tumblers and I make myself drink no less than 4 glasses a day. By having it just sit on my desk, I've started taking more sips just out of habit because it's sitting there. I know sometimes it can be really tough to get all of the water in, but maybe something like that would make it easier on you too?

Taitai I had self control when I had my babies sex on that piece of paper... I would have no self control over special chocolate. Cuddling with DD on the couch while I drink my coffee and she watches Daniel Tiger. I have an appointment with my psychologist this morning so I'm dropping her off at my moms for a bit. I think I've settled on the double stroller I want to buy, so I'm going to test drive it after my appointment. Some good used deals have been coming up in our local buy and sell and I don't want to miss out. I also have to check in with my dentist. Yesterday I took DD to her first appointment, she did amazing. I ask the dentist about making an appointment to check out my teeth since I've been having pain she had time right then and there, noticed a hole where I grind my teeth and decided to put in a temporary filling right there. Good times.

No big plans today! Library in a couple hours, and I need to work on laundry.
I sorted through the kids clothing this morning and pulled everything that's too small, now I'm on the hunt for fall/winter clothes. Trying to minimize their wardrobes and hoping to do a capsule style wardrobe to help with that. Of course, DD is an impossible size and finding what I want is hard.
I've been really struggling to eat, which is so not a problem I usually have. I'm actually down 3 pounds over the last month. Nothing at all sounds good, and as a result of that I don't want to cook much at all. As much as I am enjoying the weight loss aspect of it, I miss food, cooking, and eating.

mommabakes I really keep trying to do a capsule wardrobe for DD however I keep feeling because I keep finding cute outfits at random stores that don't go with anything else she owns.

mommabakes I feel you on the lack of appetite. Nothing has sounded good this entire pregnancy (except a few things here and there...very, very infrequent though). It was the same with DS. I fortunately am not responsible for the cooking in our house - I can't imagine how much harder that would be if nothing ever sounds good. I just end up logically telling myself that I know the things DH makes are tasty, and I force it down. I am looking forward to enjoying food again after this baby arrives. DH and I are actually kinda foodies and it will be nice to have that joy again in my life. Hoping your appetite picks up soon!!!

rachydc how is Younger this season? No spoilers bc I decided to wait and watch in binge mode once the season ends and it's all on Hulu. Wondering if it's good/bad. Everything I read said it was going to be different this season.

Taitai those chocolates look amazing. I would so be having one middle of the night! As for me, just relaxing and listening to the rain(!!) while waiting for DS to wake up... it is almost 10am! I think he must be going through a growth spurt or some developmental leap... he is eating everything and sleeping, sleeping, sleeping! Dentist appointment for me this afternoon, otherwise just indoor play today. I am excited because although the rain is supposed to stop after today the cooler temps are hopefully sticking around a bit!

Taitai, I live in a part of the US that has Wawas! I always get my gas there because it is always the cheapest of any gas station in the area. Never really get any food there these days, but I do have strong memories of Wawa from my childhood. When I was in high school I did tech/backstage work for the drama company in 12th grade, and DH was part of the cast. We'd have to come in on Saturdays to help build the set. DH and I, just started dating at the time, would walk to a Wawa just off the school grounds to have lunch on those days.

Taitai, yay! For DH coming home with goodies! You'll have to AW all for it esp. the special things for DS and his reaction! I used to look forward to my aunt and uncles when they come back to visit from abroad ( my moms side of family is practically scattered around the globe - may be where my globetrotting genes come from lol) and they would bring the best treats ever! Like marshmallows! 🤣😅 Oooohh! Chocolates! I don't recall the brand name but it looks similar to ones I've had. I recall it being velvety smooth, melts in your mouth, super creamy. I especially like the ones dusted in matcha. Yumm! I was in Japan so long ago ( 10+ yrs) and during that time I was obsessed with everything matcha and obv. Japanese anything. I don't know what it is but I do love love Japanese everything. I think the next trip we make back home, we might make a pit stop in Japan.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Triple thumb this! I usually keep a nalgene 32oz at my desk when at work and water consumption was much much better during work but now that I'm home it's hard to keep track.

Nothing exciting today. I've been on the phone too much the past week between insurance and counseling a couple of my bffs who may be going through separation ( one could be imminent and the other hopefully can work things out) I'm so sad and angry for their situations and am no help other than being available anytime they need someone to talk to and cry with. Ugh! Just never thought this would ever happen to anyone of us. I wish we were closer in distance so I can have one of them and her kids move in with me until she can get situated independently. Well the rest of my day will be filled with more calls to insurance and Drs. Office to figure out benefits and coverage. My head hurts already.

General water drinking post: During an internship in college I started drinking a lot of water because I didn't always know what to do with myself all day so periodic water fill ups seemed like a good idea. Over that summer I lost 6 pounds doing nothing and noticed I wasn't as hungry and got less headaches. I've kept it up since then and drink at least my weight in water (ozs) every day. Once you start doing it for a while your body will become used to it and you will be more thirsty for water. I try not to drink much after 8 pm when pg to avoid so many MOTN pee issues. Every time I get a massage the therapist comments on how well hydrated I am bc of my skin texture and they can tell in my muscles. ::hair flip:: 💁🏻 ETA gamergirl is this a thing or are they trying to make me feel better about myself?
