MH is in the ER with a suspected kidney stone. He's never had one but his dad has had them. He went to the doctor earlier today and they ordered a CT scan but he couldn't get an appointment today. He's in a lot of pain so I said go in since they can do those tests there. I'm worried about him. Hopefully he gets seen quickly and they can help him.

goldenbird, I went to a urgent care and they sent me to the ER when I had mine. How is he doing?

Welp. He actually has diverticulitis 😭. He's been admitted for IV antibiotics and to Keep an eye on the inflammation and make sure he doesn't develop sepsis. My parents came over and hung out with DS while I took some stuff to him since he didn't have anything with him.

And apparently his dad has that also. His flares up every few months but it doesn't bother him enough to do anything for it.

They said 3-5 days. I do hope he can come home by Sunday night so I can go to work at my usual time on Monday. He's so bored. Tomorrow I'll bring him my laptop so he can play computer games on it.

We went through this earlier this year with my husband. I thought he was going to die. I have never seen him like that. They didn't admit him but gave him pain meds and antibiotics and told him to come back if anything changed at all. He started the Low-Fodmap diet. It is a little overwhelming and restitctive at first but it gets easier and less restrictive. He went from having GI issues for year before the diverticulitis flare, to rarely having any and he lost 25 lbs. Let me know if you want more information.

I actually have heard of the Low-Fodmap diet; it was suggested to me a few years ago when I was having stomach issues. We're definitely going to have to look in to it.

I'm missing the concert that I was supposed to be going to in San Antonio and feeling sad about it. I think that's a good excuse to order whatever I want for dinner.

My H’s family has that too. His mother and uncle have been in the hospital for it more than once. H never had it but he did have stomach issues so changed his diet and has been feeling better stomach wise.

DS got his first college acceptance today. It’s his safety school and he was guaranteed admission based on his GPA, so it wasn’t a shocked. But, it’s good to know that he will go somewhere. Of course, we visited another school today and it became his first choice. So now we just have to wait.

What concert was it? Maybe you can find a live video on YouTube to satisfy the sadness of missing a show.

It's the Vienna Lights Orchestra Greatest Showman tribute. I'm bummed to miss it but I know being 2 hours away with MH in the hospital isn't a good idea. I told my mom to take videos if possible.

DD1 is getting surgery on Tuesday to remove her port. I am an anxious mess the last two weeks-plus she came down with a massive sinus infection on Tuesday. She is on antibiotics but now I am worried that they will postpone it. I feel like I am constantly hovering and I am trying not to. But the anxiety is real.

Hope everyone is feeling better.

I'm bummed for my mom. One of Her sisters passed yesterday. She was 92 so the timing wasnt unexpected but now Mom at 84 and her baby sister at 75 are the only 2 left from a family of 12.

I knew them all but it was more
Distant feeling relatives far away in nc that I haven't seen and barely talked to in eons.

At work, we had our annual in service day last Monday. Now, at least 5 of us have Covid- hoping my fresh vaccine is working hard.

I have a second interview for a job I really want Wednesday morning, I have to go for more mammogram imaging Wednesday afternoon and I took next week off but have way too much work to do to not be in. I hate being this frazzled.
