60 minute PT interval run with Mariana and a 10 minute stretch with Logan. My legs felt fried this morning and it took a good three miles before they loosened up and would turn over cooperatively. I took a lot of walk breaks during the recoveries and ended up a bit shy of 10k. No dance today, so yoga tonight for sure.
Food back on track until DD1 birthday this weekend. Woof.

Woke up late and had to rush my workout. But I hit 135 on deadlifts and my legs could have done 1-2 more reps but my grip was really slipping. Bench also felt good today, I felt confident enough to push a bit even without MH spotting me. I’ll try and get my accessories done later.

In Normandie for the weekend and did a misty 5k this morning with some cows. Feels good to have a different view than usual, and the run will help offset the 10 pounds of cheese I’m eating this weekend 😂 i was on a peloton run the other day and the instructor was describing the effort and said, you wouldn't be able to call your mom and have a conversation during this pace...and i immediately thought of you. 😂😂 I love it!

Mixed? Hook? Second- is chalk an option? Liquid chalk works great if you want to avoid a mess.

Last week when it felt slippy I just thought it was because I was extra hot and sweaty because the gym was so humid, but looking back last year when I was moving these weights I was only doing 2-5 reps max.

Tonight was 5 super easy miles. I did the first mile and a half with DD4 since we have another race we’re doing together in December. I forced DH to sign up for that race because DD3 insisted on doing it too and I need an adult to stay with her. She got her 5k time beat by her little sister and is out for revenge. So it’s sister v. sister at the Ho Ho Ho race 🤣 I’ve created monsters!

Double overhand as long as you can, then switch to mixed. Chalk can help too, but no one pulls double overhand for max weights. It will be a limiting factor. Straps (like what was linked) would be the other option to keep a double overhand grip.

Sweet baby Jesus, I can squat again. Switched to my lower heel shoe, doesn't bother my toe. Worked up to 457 for an easy double. There might be hope for this meet.

Took me forever to fall asleep last night. Bleh. Did not get up this morning.
I quickly squeezed in a 20 minute pop ride with Cody and a 10 minute arms and shoulders with Ben after school. That'll likely be it for today unless H wants to go to dance observation tonight for DD1, then I can get yoga in too.

Tough interval workout for me today! 1.5 mile warm up, 8 x 400m at 5k pace with 400m recovery jog, 1.5 mile cool down for 7 miles total. Average pace for my intervals was 8:36. I also managed to PR my 10k time again 😅 1:02:48! Whoop. One good thing about starting soooo slow is that you can just PR all over the place all the time 🤣

I got a 5k in this morning, my motivation isn’t there this week so at least this is something. Hoping for a longer run this weekend.

Ugh, hi.
I did not get up yesterday even though I felt fine at 4am. My discipline is just not there right now and I need to get myself back into that headspace. I have done this for 8 years now and this is the first year it's been a struggle. Hate it.
Anyways, yesterday after school I did a 30 minute interval run with Susie, a 5 minute core with Katie, and a 5 minute stretch with Marcel M.
Today I did get up even though I felt so tired. I trudged through a sloppy 5k to a 30 minute 90s hip hop run with Robin that is really a progression run workout. I was going to lift too, but my body just felt bleh, so I did a 10 minute stretch and called it.
Food has been good. Scale has trended down all week, thankfully. I need something to go my way!

I don’t think I posted yesterday. I did Denis’ 20 Minute 80’s ride, finished up Week 2 of Discover Strength, and had PT. I have an intense pain in the heel of my foot with the bad tendon, ankle, which is new and not fun. Doing extra stretching per my PT and also hitting it with the Theragun, which seems to help a bit.
This morning, my cousin had recommended Robin’s most recent 30 minute pop ride. I don’t usually ride her rides, but he told me the energy and playlist were exactly what he needed this week, so I gave it a try. I’m so glad I did. He was absolutely right. Highly recommend!

Yesterday i did a heavy upper body and it felt great. Then, I survived my DDs practice 5k for Girls on the run. I lift and walk but haven't ran in 6 freaking years. So I literally went from couch to 5k. I surprised myself though and we finished in 33 minutes without walking once. My right knee hates me today but should be fine in a day or so. Rest day today.

Spent Tues in bed not feeling well. Idk it was weird.
Lifted yesterday, squats were just ok. Considering it a win that I went because I didn’t feel much like lifting. hit PR on my reverse lunges and pushups (6!)
Pretty sore today but did a walk/run on the treadmill for 3.5 miles. Focusing on water, food, rolling/stretching in between getting ready for family on Saturday. Baking pies today!

35 min easy run done. Just started half training again this week, going to see with the different rehab exercises I am doing if I can hold on this time and actually do the race in April.

I did a 45 min peloton run on the tread at the rec centre on Tuesday, followed by squats and core. Then yesterday went to a Pilates class with some friends and holyshit that’s harder than it looks 😅 Tonight I go see my trainer for more strength work.

I’m home today with another “sick” kid. But she’s 100% not sick lol. I got to take a half day off of work and take a nap though so I’m not too mad at it. Yesterday was a rest day and today was 4 easy miles. They probably would have been easier if I hadn’t completely overdressed. Today should have been a shorts day for sure. This 35-45° window can be so tricky.

To the gym for upper press. Blah. It’s just so hard to feel like progress is made there. I know it is…
Anyway glad I went and pushing my accessories continues to go well.

Oh my God. DS is sick and he is a MONSTER. He was up having screaming meltdowns four times last night. Then DD2 got in our bed complaining that she didn't feel well and slept on top of me. Oh my gosh, whyyyyy!?
Ugh, so yeah, no getting up this morning. I had to leave work early to get DD2 from school too. I did workout later in the afternoon though, around my usual after school time. I didn't do much, but I did something, so whatever. Got in a 20 minute EDM run with Becs, 10 minute chest and back with Ben, and a 5 minute stretch with Olivia. That's it for today.
I'm pretty behind on running miles this month, so I'll probably run both days this weekend and skip my usual Sunday cycle since I'm in a good spot for miles there.
Anyone following Becs on the Great World Race? She ran 3:16 marathon in Antarctica yesterday and a 3:15 today in South Africa. Just crazy! I think they go to Australia next.

Was able to get in a 15k run this morning, and it was a beautiful fall day. We’ve been so lucky to have no rain all month, it makes running so much more enjoyable.

Saturday mornings mean live PZ rides, and this morning’s was a 120 minute global ride! It started with Matt and Tunde, then went to London with Hannah F and Sam Yo, back to NYC with CDE and CVV, back to London with the Germans, Charlotte and Eric, and then back to NYC with Matt and Denis. There’s a stretch after with Olivia and a recovery ride available tomorrow with Ben. So fun!
15 minute warm up (6 spin ups including a 60 second one) and then 9 8 minute zone 3’s with 4 minute zone 2 recoveries
I did that and the 10 minute stretch with Olivia. Also, I didn’t realize it was my 800th! They did no shout outs but there were over 5k people on it so I wouldn’t have expected on anyway.

We went out for a pre Thanksgiving turkey trot (just my family) since I’m anticipating not being able to run for a bit after my repeat biopsy next week.
It felt harder than it should have but it was fun to be out! We are also hosting some family today that won’t all be together next week so it’s a busy day here

Morning.
DD1 slept at a friend's house and they called and woke me up at midnight because she forgot her stuffy she can't sleep without. I drove it over and now I am dragging today. I'm fucking beat. I also dragged DD2 to company dance this morning because she was feeling decent, but she was struggling by the end.
Anyways.
30 minute interval run with Adrian Extra 10 run with Becs 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight has to happen.
It's DD1 birthday today and she has requested Applebee's for dinner, so that and cake are on the menu.
