Anyways, hi.
October goal was to finish my half marathon, preferably around 2:10. I finished comfortably at 2:09, so spot on.
November is survive all the foods. This weekend we're traveling Saturday and Sunday, then it's DD2 birthday, then it's the girl's birthday weekend party, then it's DD2 birthday, then it's Thanksgiving. Ugh. I have been much better with my eating my weight is down a smidgey smidge, but I'll be shocked if November doesn't crash and burn that minimal progress I finally made.
Today was a 30 minute run, a 10 minute chest and back, and a 5 minute stretch. I have a 30 minute yoga stacked for tonight.
I only did three strength workouts in October apparently 😬 need to focus on that again. I should probably hit the weight room at school at least once week. Gah.

November goal: no new broken toes. Or whatever I did to that one. Changing up my intake a bit around my workouts to see if that gets any progress.

45 minute PZE with Wilpers this morning (another easy all zone 2 ride), and then I started the Discover Strength program with Joslyn.
My November goals are: • 200+ miles on the bike • Complete the first 4 weeks of the DS program • PT twice a week • Swim once a week • Ease back into running with walk+runs

Omg. It’s November. I managed 132 miles for October. Feeling really good about my mileage. If all goes according to plan I should hit 150ish for November. I keep saying that I’m going to start doing some strength training and then I just…don’t. Maybe this will be the month I get my life together 🫠
Went out for 7 miles today. I was back in shorts and the snow has melted. So glad it showed up just for Halloween /s. I have also joined the sick kid club, unfortunately. I had to take DD3 to the ER last night for steroids because she couldn’t breathe. They’re thinking croup not pneumonia. So my sleep was obviously crap and now my watch thinks I’m dying or something. It might not be wrong. I hope everyone else’s kids are on the mend. This respiratory stuff is awful.

Ah I had Nov all typed out and it went away. Ugh. Anyway strength should be good, cardio will be a challenge this month.
As such I got out for 2 mile run today. Was not motivated at all and it was a slog. But it got done. ✅

Morning.
45 minute reggaeton ride with Camila and a 5 minute stretch. My legs were sore and I didn't plan to work too hard, but I ended up playing leap frog with a guy about a minute behind me in the ride. I'm so freaking competitive, I couldn't let it go and couldn't let him win, so I didn't, lol. And in fighting to bear him I managed a sizeable PR.
Yoga tonight.
Heading three hours round trip to visit my grandmother today. My folks are picking up Chinese food, so bloated is thy name today.

Hi and how is it already November? My goals are to stay active and not die. lol.
I want to hit 75 miles running. I want to add strength in and be consistent with it. I want to continue to focus on healthy eating without tracking. And my last goal is to be patient. patient with myself. patient with the kids. patient with everything.

45 minute yoga flow with Mariana. I opted for a rest day because my legs are feeling fried. I was clawing at the walls by 6pm though, I wanted to run so badly. My legs better thank me tomorrow for the lack of cardio endorphin increased anxiety I muddled through today.

Deadlifts and bench today. My left sinus was constantly draining this morning so I went back to bed and lifted a few hrs later than normal. It was SO hot today I was worried about my grip slipping on the bar. Deadlifts felt great though. Bench not as awesome today but still ok. Accessories continue to be 🔥🔥🔥

5 easy miles for me tonight. Back to building up on my mileage after a deload week last week. I had 3 rest days where I usually only have 1 and it felt nice to take it easy. Although I was itching for more by the end of the week. It was worth it though because today’s run felt so great!

Good morning.
I did the Becs and Meb run plus an extra 10 run this morning. That's it for me today. Unless my election anxiety creeps in too much, then I may workout again this afternoon. I don't know. Ugh. I also need to run to Wegmans on my prep and I need to try and not buy snackies.

How is it already November 🫣
October was a busy blur, I didn’t get that much done but kept running 2-3 times a week.
November, just going to keep at it. I have an 8k charity race end of the month.
Yesterday I did 4km and tonight I have 8-9km to try and get some of this anxious energy out.

Both kids stayed home yesterday. C tested positive for strep and was rewarded with a referral to an ent. A went in today to be swabbed and tested negative; doc said it can be early for strep positive or its just a cold. So we decided to treat a cold and monitor symptoms. I dropped her back off at school. Thanks to the sickness though I was able to go to run club last night instead of driving between 2 different fields on opposite ends of the town. 20 min HIIT run with Selena and she was joking around. But I did hit some fast sprints for me. Gonna try to fit in some strength and a walk before softball starts. cnf, my anxiety is off the charts today. because of the election and other life things. i am so worked up i was clenching my jaw all night it feels like. ugh. i have a bad feeling tomorrow is going to be a dark dark time.

35 min easy run done. I applied for the wait list for Hinge Health's virtual PT, they have a couple of people who work with de Quervain's (best guess on what I have right now until I get an actual diagnosis but I have a positive sign on the test they do) and it would be a lot easier than trying to do in person PT again.

I tweaked my Garmin’s Daily Suggested Workout for the day by adding a bit to the warm up and cool down to hit 7 miles. It was basically 10 x 200m. It set my goal pace for the intervals at 7:55/mile and I hit an average of 7:50. Which I’m very happy with considering it is cold and rainy. It was a great distraction from election nerves and now I have to take DD to violin. Can we just have it called for Kamala by the time I get back? Kthx 🤣

I worked out at the Y while DD did a karate class. I did a 20 minute walk and run with Kirsten on the tread (I saw her running NYC— she said, “thank you!” when I cheered for her). Also a 5 mile warm up and a 5 minute cooldown run. Then I did some leg work on the weight machines— weighted calf raises, leg presses, hip abductor, plus some stretching.
I scarfed a burrito and will probably stress eat some dessert as I listen to election news.

My new doctor seems decent. Since I was just there to establish as a patient and get my birth control renewed, I had her look at my toe. There's nothing hurting anywhere, it's just the bruise under the nail and the pressure when I lift. She said if it isn't improving in a couple weeks, then we can look at getting an x-ray and going to an ortho.
Oh, squats were awful last night. Stupid toe.

I hit up the rec centre tread after work for 45 min pop endurance run with Susie. It’s been a while so just building that base back up.
My run club (I’ve been an absentee member since Sept) is doing a chip timed half marathon on Saturday and I’m debating joining in. Def wouldn’t be a PR but would be good to get back out.
