I started getting up right at 4am this morning just for DD2 to come ripping into our room and wanting to snuggle with me. So I snuggled, and I fell back asleep until 6am. Oops.
After school workout was a 30 minute PT tempo run with Wilpers, a 5 minute core with Emma, and a 5 minute stretch with Camila. That's it for today.

MRI for my neck scheduled for 12/2. We'll finally find out if this nerve stuff is coming from there.
35 min run on deck for today.

Intense PT session yesterday. Both my peroneal and my posterior tibial tendons are inflamed (so outside and inside of foot and ankle), and I’ve been in a lot of pain this week. I’ve been instructed to lay off the small amount of running I’d restarted. Working new exercises into my PT routine. I’ve also ordered some inserts for my shoes, and hoping that helps.
Discover Strength this morning and an easy 15 minute soul ride with Ally Love. I have a mammogram in a bit too.

Morning.
I'm home with two out of three kids today. DS definitely could have gone to school, but DD2 is very glassy eyed and hasn't budged from the couch. We had signed them up for parent's night out tomorrow and DD2 has a big two day dance convention in Buffalo this weekend. Because of course.
Anyways.
30 minute EDM run with Logan 15 minute interval run with Hosky 10 minute arms and shoulders with Jess Sims 5 minute stretch with Marcel M
Yoga tonight, hopefully.
I'm happy to start working on speed again after so many months of race pace training. Love seeing my mile times and average paces ticking down. I got in 5 miles this morning and I'm caught up with where I need to be for miles this month now.
Food I'll keep tight even though I'm home.

We did the first release of Les Mills Strength Development today. If your gym offers this class, I so highly rec! It's such a good strength training workout. I also really like the instructor; she's super picky about our form. That's it! Off to work and high school dd's Thanksgiving meal at school. Happy Thursday!

5 min core + body pump (had to leave after biceps) + 25 min weighted vest walk. And that's it for 10 days- flying to London tonight. I won't work out but will get tons of steps.
Saw the funniest post on IG- catandnat- if you're wearing baggy jeans bc teens tell you they're cool, eating protein and creatine like it's your job, and strapping on a weighted vest to build bone density you're officially middle age. :/ lol. That's me to a T.
TGIF!

Morning.
I'm home again with DD2 who had an even worse fever this morning. Ugh.
20 minute interval run with Wilpers 20 minute EDM run with Olivia 10 minute chest and back with Matty 5 minute stretch with Olivia
I didn't do yoga last night. I need to try and get it in tonight. That Wilpers class, oh my gosh, he's so cute but so silly. It's 1 minute on 2 minutes off and he said it's like doing 400m repeats. Then during one he mentioned he was running at an 11mph pace. And in another he said 11.5mph. And given his breathing and his form and leg turn over, knowing he can run a sub-5 minute mile, I don't doubt him. But how cute that he thinks the rest of us mere mortals can run a one minute 400.
Food will be fine. I did fine yesterday so I'll just roll with the same things.

I’m here. Haven’t worked out since they redid my foot biopsy on Monday afternoon. Thankfully it feels much better this time (and pathology came back it’s all removed and don’t need anything else done)
Did a quick mostly upper weights workout in the hotel gym. I was able to do some goblet squats too but reverse lunges were a no go. Anyway it was something.

Yesterday I finished up week 3 of Discover Strength, but otherwise took it easy. This morning I did Wilpers’ 60 minute PZ which was INTENSE.

DD2 has pneumonia. Cool cool. She's missing company dance and the first day of her team convention today. It's her first big thing she was doing since joining the company teams and she's so bummed. Hopefully she can make the second day tomorrow. The only saving grace is my parent's closing got delayed by weeks so they're coming early to stay with us for the holiday and now I have today to clean. I planned to do that Tuesday, but now they're coming then. I have wicked PND too, so my throat is all scratchy and gross. So dumb. EVERYTHING IS STUPID.
30 minute Nirvana run with Susie Extra 10 run with Hosky 10 minute stretch with Logan
Guess I'll do yoga tonight. I was going to miss it since we wouldn't be home from Buffalo until like 11pm, but I'll be able to get it in tonight now.
I may order DD2 and I pizza to pick at today. H and DS went to a monster truck show and DD1 is going roller skating with a friend. Pizza and scrubbing bathrooms. That's my Saturday 🫠

I got to the hotel gym again this morning for some Z-press and whatever else I could do. It wasn’t much but I did a bit and felt good to move.
And then I promptly sat for 9 hours 🫠

Yesterday was 4 miles for me. I had to do them first thing in the morning because DD2 had her first gymnastics meet. Made the mistake of not eating first and it was a slog. DD’s meet didn’t go very well and I felt so awful for her. Just falls on things that she never struggles with. Oof. It’s so hard having to watch from the stands and not be able to give her a hug.
Today I did my 12 mile long run. I decided I really like the SiS gels. Especially the salted strawberry that has electrolytes too. The consistency is so easy to get down and I don’t feel like I need to drink a gallon of water when I take one like I do with gu or honey stinger gels.
Tomorrow I have 6 miles planned and that will put me at 40 for the week. Which is perfect because my birthday was Tuesday so barring some freak mishap I should hit my 40 miles for my 40th birthday goal 🥳

Hi. I'm in Buffalo with DD2 who insisted she felt fine to come today. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the answer is sit around UB all freaking day doing nothing while the team dances in small sessions unavailable to be watched. So I did what all sane people do and went to Target and Fleet Feet to buy workout gear so I could go for a run. Because dropping $250 for a 3 mile run while you're bored is totally normal behavior. The only thing I didn't buy was a running watch. Peloton says I did 3 miles, but it typically overestimates by a good .2-.5 miles. And based on my time it is a lying liar who lies, but it is what it is. Anyways, I just ran the UB campus. It is... underwhelming. Now I'm sitting outside in the 40F wind to dry off because I'm going to be gross until we get home tonight. The only shoe color FF had were ugly too. I grabbed a different model than I normally run in because I needed SOME color and the wave riders only came in black. The model is Sky Wave, so these are aptly my Rain Cloud Runners.

Yesterday I skipped swimming so I could take DD to an XC race. She says that trail running is her favorite.
I took it pretty easy and just did W4D1 Discover strength. Today I did day 2 and Ally Love’s ride from yesterday.
We’re going away for Thanksgiving but staying in a hotel with a peloton, so I am hoping to get some rides in. Do the hotel Pelotons generally take Delta Clip shoes, or should I just plan on using my running shoes in cages?

It seems like they generally know. Again, just what I've heard. I'd bring you shoes just in case unless you call and they specify that it's SPD pedals.

Hi.
My students had a half day with the intention of parent teacher conferences all afternoon, but the only two I managed to schedule for today aren't until after 4pm. Ugh. I came home in between the half day ending and my conferences. I just did a 45 minute interval run with Jeffrey, a 5 minute core with Olivia, and a 5 minute stretch with Camila. Now I need to shower and head back soon. Yoga tonight. And more cleaning.

Went out for 4 easy miles today in the freezing cold. It was a 28° with a feels like temp of 19. Gross. DH joined me for the first mile and a half. He struggled a little bit but it’s so annoying because I could just tell that if he ran consistently for like a month he would leave me in the dust. Meanwhile, I have to run 6 days a week with a dedicated speed day just to be mediocre 😅

I signed up for the Runna app and did the first day today. I like how it tells you specific paces/treadmill speeds and either times or distances for every programmed run. I just put in my goal time for the NYC half and it tells me what to do. Magic!
Anyways, 3.5mi easy run on the tread today, then quick arms workout.

Ugh, good morning.
Bleh.
I did the global 120 minute PZE ride. I absolutely did not have two hours of riding in me today and did most of the recoveries in zone one instead of two, but I did it. I've been planning to do this ride today, the only day I have alone time in the house, since it dropped, so I did it even though my legs were very cranky about it. I did Olivia's 10 minute PZ post ride stretch and hopefully I can get some gentle, stretchy yoga in tonight so I'm feeling decent to run tomorrow.
My parents will be here in a few hours and I have cleaning to do. I just want to sit in silence with hot coffee.
