king26 yeah i have had residents in with MFM appointments as well but then they were extra/ supervised. Today it was just the resident and a med student.... though she did consult with my OB on everything. It was alright in the end heh and i was feeling proud I let her so the cervical check and managed alright myself😊

Quick update before i drop dead in bed. Induction prep scheduled for Wednesday 10am! Will get a balloon catheter for 24h to help me dilate (was still just 1cm dilated still today and over 50% effaced today) - will be able to go home after placement. Then back to the H on Thursday for actual induction.. OMGosh... hard to imagine that come this weekend I will have a baby!? 😲😲🤗

Omg congrats @starzia!! Hope cali is doing well. I had a rough day yesterday and today but I'm starting to feel a little better- finally got on my phone to interact with the world for the first time today just now. Will update soon with my birth story- probably tonight if it's anything like his sleep / eat schedule of last night!

I know she'll come and post her story once she gets a chance, but in the meanwhile for those who are wondering/worried I hope she don't mind I post a little update for her. Those of you on FB/PAIF&SAIF may already have read it there but ketchup indeed had her baby last week and all goes well with the little one! Unfortunately she had some serious complications herself that landed her on the ICU I think they were all released to come home this weekend, and hopefully she's well on the road to recovery herself as well!

AFM, I been having tightening/BH combined with cramps since I went to bed last night. Nothing painful-like yet so not real contractions yet I guess but it's a start? Maybe just maybe the little one will decide to come out on her own before getting induced after all?? I'd love that! I'm feeling slightly guilty that we're not giving her the time she perhaps needs to come out on her own...

Also, XPed to nursery updates but I thought maybe more folks would read it here..

We got our relax chair delivered this weekend and now the nursery smells really of new fabric and what not. I've had the window open to let things air out ever since but the smell just isn't going anywhere.. Any suggestions on what I could do to lessen it??

muscari I felt exactly the same way about evicting mine early since I was induced. I was like, "but he's so comfy" lol. But mama knows best since you're doing it for medical reasons.

I believe both momma and baby were released this past weekend so I hope they're settling in nicely at home

muscari, I'm glad they have a plan in place for you. I can't wait until my Thursday appointment so I can get a plan in place. Maybe this kid is just waiting for his Uncle to come home so he can see him (my brother is away until Friday for work).

AFM- I'm resigned to going back to work tomorrow. I don't know how I'll get up at 5:30 as I sleep until 8 every day since I'm up for 2 hours every night but I guess I'll figure it out. I've had multiple coworkers e-mail this week that they'll miss me and hope everything is going well. Won't they be surprised when I show up for the first day of school tomorrow!

You guys, I think maybe my second membrane stripping yesterday may have set something in motion.. had cramping overnight that fizzled out but these past couple of hours they have progressed from annoying cramping to mildly painful ones incl in my back and they come every 10-15 minutes. Ahhhhh wouldn't it be neat if this really is the start of something??? How neat it would be if I go in tomorrow and am dilated far enough (was 1cm dilated and 50-60% effaced yesterday) to not need to balloon cathether to prime my cervix before they can start the pitocen IV?? 🤞🤞
