angelashly, I'm sorry; that research is a lot and so emotional. Is there anything we can help with? I don’t think so. I’ve basically just lowered the list to our top 3 andI guess I’ll start there. Problem is her income is not high so I’ll also have to look at waivers.

Problem is her income is not high so I’ll also have to look at waivers. If she was a vet- or a deceased spouse was- she may be eligible for VA benefits. Medicaid can also kick in once she needs more care. It really is basically last resort- you have to be under 2K in assets and have a certain income threshold. I feel so badly for people who DON'T have family to help them. My mom was in no shape to those things on her own by the time she needed help with care. You're a good DIL!

Luckily she sold their house so no assets but I’m checking the income requirements for Medicaid My sister in law would normally be helping too but she is doing chemo so I’m taking over. We know as of now she gets home health aid coverage through Medicare so I’m going to start that. Problem is she did it before and canceled it
