I can’t believe we have 3.5 weeks left of summer break. I’m not ready. I’m not ready either. My DDs are so excited about our beach vacation next week. I love the beach but know that I only have 1 full week left when we get home before I have to head back to work. 😔 |

I've got a stomach bug which of course coincides with my work counterpart being on vacation so I'm trying to get work done in between bathroom trips.
Due to said bug, I'm working from home and I had to postpone an in-person meeting - which led to the person I was supposed to meet with complaining to my manager that I'm pushing off a project. Ok - this "project" was one of her job tasks that she pushed off onto me, I think I have a legit excuse to reschedule even if I spared her the details, and wtf - if you have an issue address it with me instead of crying to my manager. My manager was on my side, but it still ticks me off.

16 days left until school starts here. Instead of 9am start for elementary the district switched to 8am. Luckily my job is flex and I can WFH as needed.
But I guess there is not a before school option for working parents that start at 730am.
Groceries are expensive and so are fucking school shoes 😐

The kids and I have a road trip planned to TN for next month but I've been worried about spending the money and keep debating if I should cancel.
Turns out one of DD's medical supply companies realized they overcharged us so we just got a refund check for $600, which will cover the hotel. Guess that's my sign that we go?

We got the kids school schedules. The 16YO’s senior schedule cracks me up each time I look at it. Fall semester: US government (excellent timing), precalc and a music class. Spring semester: engineering, Spanish and music. Senior privileges for early out so he’s done by 1 pm most days.
Edit. I read his schedule wrong. First quarter he has no first period class and only 1 class on Tuesday & Thursdays. He is most certainly living his best senior year life.

Hamilton is coming back to Philly and DS has been obsessed lately but I don't think I can justify the cost of tickets especially since I just asked H if we could book a weekend away and DS is headed to Disney soon  |

DS has had a loose bottom front tooth for over a month now and both adult teeth already coming in behind. The first loose one somehow magically came out. This one is so wiggly and I've tried to get it out the last two nights and he's just been freaking out about it hurting. I try for one second and he starts sobbing and won't open his mouth again. I feel bad but also...damn this is tooth #2. So many more to go.

I had him there at the beginning of July and I wish they had done it then. I asked and they said oh no just keep wiggling it especially forward and backwards and it'll just come right out. |

After over a decade of begging my parents to move down here with us, this is the weekend it happens. I was supposed to fly up there tomorrow morning and help them load the truck and then drive them down, but my dumbass caught Covid so now I'm useless. Fortunately, my cousins had already planned to come and help them out, so my not being there isn't the end of the world. I am pretty sad to miss out on the going away dinner with our extended family though.
