My birthday is Saturday! Regretfully, we will be at my bitchy SIL’s house this weekend, which I am not looking forward to at all.
I celebrated a week early by going to a read & rot sleepover with friends, where we gave PowerPoint presentation on insane books, and it was the most fun I’ve had all year.

Please share more details! It was the best! We stayed at someone's ranch house a couple hours away and spent the weekend intermittently chatting and laughing and sometimes just all quiet and reading. So perfect for my introverted soul. For the PowerPoints, we prepared our slides in advance and then presented in the evening after we were several bottles deep into the prosecco. One woman's chosen book was a completely bonkers erotic story about Clippy, and I'm cracking up now just thinking about it. We've already made plans to do this again in 6 months, so it will be hard to top the weirdness of that book.  |

Today I learned I have 2 Leo kids! We'll be celebrating my youngest at a local music festival dancing to Vampire Weekend and then my oldest gets to go with me to Denver for a celebratory birthday weekend at RMNP and a Red Rocks concert.

My birthday will come at the end of a completely bananas theatre run for my oldest (10 shows over 3 weekends), so I’ve made plans to meet my mom at a local resort and float the lazy river while the kids are at school. Cannot wait.

We went to a Twins game last night, and I bought a giant frozen margarita served in a strange baseball bat-shaped cup.
I announced "It's my birthday week" to my H and my dad when they questioned why I was buying a giant, overpriced, (and actually not all that good) drink.
The older ladies sitting behind us thought that was a delightful justification and kept repeating it to themselves. I told them it was the start of the Leo Season, after all.
I hope I've inspired some boomers to lean into celebrating their own birthdays to the max!
