NGL, I've wondered if she's on hospice or something and they're just doing what they can to give them all privacy/keep everything quiet and deal with it all later down the line

And yes they have the right to do so, but they are doing so bad at it that it’s making what would be sympathy for them indifference and uncertainty which is not what they want

I have all the empathy for Kate in the world and share the same fears that her health is much worse than what is being shared. I truly hope that's not the case. It's how all of it has been handled by their team that has me SMH.

I've been staying out of it for the most part because I spent most of May with my mom in and out of a literal cancer hospital (she had a great outcome and prognosis is excellent) but I saw so many clearly very sick people. Young looking ones too. And I would not blame them a bit if they didn't want to share a damn thing with their next door neighbors, let alone the world.

All I’m saying for me it’s both. I don’t judge her for wanting to handle things her way but I also can see they are bringing the uncertainty on themselves

This, exactly. I have said many times that my heart goes out to Kate and her family. I, too, have had cancer impact family and friends far too often and cruelly take lives as have many of us here. I have had cancer scares in my life where for months I was in limbo not knowing if I had BC or not and had lumpectomies both times and have been advised to have prophylactic surgery which I am still weighing even at this very moment (which is NOTHING compared to actually having cancer), so I have all the empathy in the world for what Kate and her family are going through. 

So that I am crystal clear. This is not an attack on Kate, the person. It is not an attack on others suffering with cancer or other illnesses. In Kate's case, it's pushing back on the team surrounding her who have done nothing to help her situation with the constant lies and subterfuge, including faked photos. 

It would have been far better if they had announced her illness and left it at that. They created the controversy and it is only natural that folks are going to question and think something is off and that they (again, their team) are hiding something. That is what I am taking issue with.

I guarantee if they had at the very beginning did a simple statement like this they would have not have all this going on.

Kate has been diagnosed with cancer. She will be undergoing treatments that will take her out of the public eye until she and the doctors clear her. We would appreciate some privacy while we and our children deal with this together.

It’s not saying she can’t deal with it in her own way it’s saying she has something so many have dealt with so just saying it people would have gotten it.

Not putting out fake pictures or stories of her being out and about or working from home etc.

My sil right now at age 48 is in the hospital after brain surgery #2 after radiation and chemo because she got brain cancer after finally beating her breast cancer.

My bil passed a year and a half ago from brain cancer at the age of 48.

I’m not saying young people can’t be sick I’m saying that I get it. It’s hard on the patient, the family, the kids everyone and there isn’t one way to handle it. Both of them above handled things differently

So don’t take my questioning how they are messing all this up and TO ME throwing Kate under the bus every step when they claim to be protecting her as not having sympathy for her and her kids and family for having to deal with this.

100% agree.

I think about the fervor before Kate's video announcement came out and I am one who thinks that should have never been necessary and would never have been necessary had her team given a simple statement from the get-go. Much of it died down when she announced but what stirred it up again was more of the frakenphotos that were released (and with KP stating they had recently been taken) and "sightings" et al. 

Unfortunately, with Kate being a very public figure, it was never an option for her to go radio silent forever, but a simple statement like you posted, angelashly , without any of the other statements/postings et al, would have prevented so much of what has happened since last December.

The thing is, she's not in a position of any real power, so it's weird to not just say straight out what's up and ask for understanding while they go through it.

The public would be full of sympathy for that. I would too.

I somewhat "get" when it's a world leader or the like, when you have national security concerns and stock markets to worry about in a time of health uncertainty as to who is next in line.

But for her, it's dumb.

And don't come at at me about privacy, I am not asking for photos from her bedside or a blow-by-blow of her daily wellness. They are public figures, and to reap those benefits but reject when you don't feel like it is nonsense.

That's why I have suspicion. Personally.

It doesn't matter what they would have said. If they had said a simple statement people still would have believed the crazy nonsense that she had died or was in hospice or didn't actually have cancer or was training Rose to take over or recovering from William beating her or whatever. People thrive on drama, and they are making this whole situation full of it. I don't think for one second the royal family helped with that photoshopped family photo - but I also don't think that every single thing they put out is fake. Like, the people who dig in deep about the video being AI and the kids never being seen (when George clearly has) meaning the worst, etc, it just blows my mind. It's entirely possible, and plausible, that she feels like shit, doesn't want to be seen in public, and is recovering in her own way. Maybe she is worse than they are letting on. Maybe the recovery is worse than they expected. We may never actually know. But the second guessing that she even has cancer (not in here but I have seen it in so many other places) is really icky.

It's not about Kate, I don't think anyone wishes her anything but health. But the BRF - the apparatus and the institution - handled this in the most bullshit way possible, and that is what brought on the doubt. Blaming regular people watching unfold for scratching their heads and saying "what the fuck, this doesn't make sense" is what I find icky.

We have seen public figures fake cancer or use health things as some blanket "well now you can't ask" card, and while I appreciate that it's sensitive for folks - my mother is a survivor, I have gone through this too - I find nothing abhorrent about the majority of doubters.

I appreciate that projection is inevitable on this topic.

We locally have someone on trial right now for fraud because she took thousands from people through fundraising etc for cancer she didn’t have
