DS was toddlering hard today. I think he's getting his last 2 molars, because he's been biting on his shirt, drooling like crazy, and grinding his teeth. Ugh! It's so awful to hear! Along with all the teething stuff came some attitude like not wanting to listen and running away from me. Sigh.
He did give me an unsolicited Daniel Tiger "ugga mugga" before bath time - so that was sweet and kind of made up for it. Here's to hoping he cuts the molars quickly!
Also - DH gets back from the states in just 2 days. Can't wait for the 3 suitcases full of American goodies he is bringing! It'll be like Christmas!

I've got an eye exam this morning, which is back where I used to live/work. I only go once a year, so I haven't ever found an optician around me. I'm going to duck into my old waxing salon while I'm there and see if they can squeeze me in since I haven't found anyone by me I like as much.

Taitai, that's awesome that yh is going to be home soon. Three suitcases is a lot of stuff! I hope DS's teeth come in quickly. I still give K the teething ring and toys to chew on when it's bothering her. That and tylenol/motrin. billyhorrible, is it far from where you are now? All of my dr's are spread out because as I've moved/changed jobs I've kept who I liked. I hate changing if I don't have to. My anxiety is high today and I don't know why. I don't want to be at work and I'm kinda paralyzed from doing much. I'm going to try and push through and hopefully the day will go by fast. This happens every once in a while and is more annoying than anything else. I know I'm super late to this, but MH and I found Moana on Netflix and watched it 3 times this weekend. We blamed it on K really liking it, but in reality she could have cared less after the first 15 minutes. It was all for us. Then I had him download the soundtrack and listened to it on the car ride to work.

sheilathetank Sorry about the anxiety. I hope you can power through. I get random days of high anxiety too and I hate it. Also yay for Moana! We discovered that movie last month. Love it so much - plus the music is great. DS sings the songs all.the.time - esp "Away away"

Morning!
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
I ran a 5k and I chopped off all my hair weekend. Well, most of it. I should have measured it, but I'm guessing it was well over a foot. I'm just happy that I no longer look like a Duggar.
I only need to survive work until Wednesday and then I'm off until next Thursday. I am so looking forward to the time off!

It must be so freeing. I waffle back and forth on hacking all mine off. The last time I did it did not go well.

We just got home from my ILs and made great timing on our drive. Lots of laundry to do and lots to unpack. DS is 3 today! I'm not up in my feels (yet), but it's like he's a kid now, not just a baby.

It's a Monday-ish Monday here. I woke up with a super sore throat and stuffed up nose. A Claritan, Advil, and those zinc pills that are supposed to help a cold seem to be helping me get through the day so far, but I'm looking forward to falling into bed already. Which won't be until late because I agreed to pick my parents up from the airport tonight, and their flight doesn't arrive until 9:30 or so, which means I'll be home probably around 10:30/11:00. Really regretting being a good daughter right now.

sheilathetank, I cut 14 inches off about 8 years ago and I hated it, so I nervous to do it again. My stylist this time is my friend, so I felt comfortable that she wouldn't make me regret my decision. Here's the before and after. Apologies for the huge tapa pics. I couldn't get a good pic of the color but it's kind of a mahogany color.

Happy Birthday to your little one billmurray! jubilantsquirrel, I LOVE IT! The color is great too. Did you donate your hair? I've done lock of love a couple of times when I've chopped a bunch off. jillywilly, I hope you aren't getting a cold. Can you take a nap before leaving to pick up your parents?

jubilantsquirrel, I love your haircut, it looks great! sheilathetank, I thought about trying to sleep before I have to get my parents - but basically once I leave work, it's home to the chaos of dinner and then bedtime with DS - he'll go down around 8, I'll need to leave by 8:30 - so probably no nap. If I'm really struggling, I'll send H to do my dirty work, but my parents are travelling with friends that are visiting from Germany who speak very little English - and since H speaks basically zero German, I know he'd feel awkward being in the car and trying to have a broken German/English conversation. All the medicine I've taken today seems to be doing its job, so I'm hoping I can power through.

One part of my old job involved being the American distributors for a German product. I got Rosetta stone and learned a ton, before life got in the way. I have Duolingo on my phone, but I have a hard time finding 20 minutes a day where I can be fully engaged and not brain dead. I love the language though and my goal is to one day go to Germany.

H left today to go back home, we are still here for another week. LO was being such a barnacle this AM and I kept trying to explain to her that she should play with daddy bc she was gonna miss him, but 17 months so she was not interested in listening to that.

billyhorrible I kept seeing a mechanic and my gyno in my hometown for years after I moved away, so I completely understand. It was an hour drive each way, but it was worth it, especially since I usually visited my aunt when I went too. sheilathetank I love Moana! DS wasn't as impressed though. jubilantsquirrel I love your hair! I have a tendency to just let mine grow and then eventually chop off a huge amount and donate it. The cut and color both look fabulous! billmurray Happy birthday to your DS! jillywilly I hope you feel better soon!

Is it Friday yet? Thankfully it hasn't been too busy at work, but I'm trying to get as much ready as possible for tomorrow because the school where I work is doing one of their information sessions and everyone and their brother will be seeing us for some food.

sheilathetank, depending on traffic it's either 30-60 minutes away, so I try to plan appointments for low traffic times. The boys pediatrician is still over there too, and that's a more regular trip, but I love him too much to switch. jubilantsquirrel, it looks FANTASTIC! I died the ends of my hair blue and when I get sick of blue hair I'm just chopping it all off. letthewookieewin, I definitely stopped by my old office to say hi to my friends.

Taitai So happy that your DH is coming home soon! billmurray Happy Birthday to your LO! jubilantsquirrel You look great after the cut and so nice of your to donate it 😊 I am at work and wishing the day away. I visited my parents after work on Saturday. They had DD for 2 days and I drove up and got there at 7 and already back home for 3:30 Sunday. Quick but we had fun with a campfire, walks, and swam in the pool before we left. My epilepsy is acting up and I feel terrible today so need to see my doctor about new meds. Happy I am off tomorrow and praying the weather is nice like it is right now.

footloose, do you get headaches? I hope they are able to figure out your meds. No, I have seizures and black out. They usually give me an aura before they happen which is good as then I can quickly sit down instead of falling over. I started to feel really sick when driving home yesterday and was worried it would happen in the car. I had 4 small seizures this morning, but I don't get sick days so have to go to work to get paid. Just counting down the minutes until I am done.
