Power went out at work just as I closed the doors to customers. Had to wait for it to come back on and wait for computer to boot up to finish closing systems. Home late but still managed to make some pita pizzas using up stuff in the fridge for clean out night! Mine looks delicious with some fresh basil from my garden 😊

billmurray Happy Birthday to your DS! 🎂🎉🎂 jubilantsquirrel Love that haircut - you look great! littlelion So many random things from the U.S., but this time around, lots of stuff for the new baby (auto rock and play, dockatot, a new boppy, pampers swaddles, burts bees diaper cream/shampoo, lillebaby carrier, some toys and books, etc.). Where I live the import taxes are insane, so anything this is not made here is 2-3 times the cost that it is in the USA. They especially gouge on baby/kids toys, which I think is really sad. A fisher price mobile that is $20 in the U.S. is $100-$120 here. Same goes for legos, barbies, shoes, burts bees diaper cream...basically anything you can think of. The local baby stuff and toys are really poorly made, not educational, and fall apart almost instantly. So local kids don't have many toys - and if they do get toys - they are really crappy/often have safety hazards. It sucks . DH is also bringing back some cosmetics and random stuff like our favorite type of toothpaste that is extremely expensive or not available here. I can't wait!!! ETA: footloose That sounds horrible - I hope your doctor can adjust the meds. Stay safe! At least you have tasty pizza right now

It is kind of good in one way - we never buy random stuff here. Like, we hardly every buy things besides food and basic necessities...because anything "western" is just to dang expensive. The one perk is locally made artwork and furniture is so cheap. You could get an entire teak dining room set custom made (by hand) for like 1/10th of what it would cost in the USA. And it is solid wood - super high quality that is very hard to come by (or just super expensive) in the states. Same goes for custom made clothing - like formal dresses or business suits. But one can only buy so much of that stuff! We did that the first year we lived here, and now we're like...all set! Mostly just buy food now 😅. Oh - And a 2 hour massage here is like $17 bucks. Manicure is $3. Haircut is $15 for me. So we enjoy those perks too.
