I can totallly wear whatever I want in Nashville correct?? I went through the old threads for where to eat etc, and the recommendations on clothes were helpful. But I’m just not a fussy human anymore and don’t dress up that much. Jeans and a going out top is fine right??

Everyone is just doing their own thing there. It’s a dress for the weather and comfort kind of place for me.

It really is a come as you are kinda place.

I think I've finally been pushed to get my resume together this weekend. I'm being told I have to do something outside of my job if I want it done for my client even though we have a team for it and they get paid a lot more than me. No thanks. I'm over this.

It's mid January and I have yet to find the motivation for work that left me before Christmas. Maybe next week?

My toddler does not want to eat the (non) crust from his Uncrustable, and instead wants another one, and if that doesn’t sum up toddlers, I don’t know what does.

The mostly rain and wind we were supposed to get has turned to snow and the roads are horrible. My normally 7 min drive to get dd was over 20.
We are now waiting for our Walmart pickup. My Kroger one called and said instead of 3 it would be done until 6 and no way was I coming back out so I canceled it.

I know it's a terrible schedule. It seems like a lot of sitting around and waiting- I am bringing my book.

I finally saw a cybertruck in the wild. I can’t believe they are actually real vehicles. And the headlight is super bright and annoying.

Good luck to him! This is us starting next weekend. Robotics competition 8-1 next Saturday followed by DD’s band solo competition at 2:30. Then we repeat until mid February when Robotics ends. I don’t mind the early stuff though. Way better to me than the 7:30 pm Sunday night softball games that are also coming.

I just dropped him off and I'm back home drinking coffee. I'm thankful his school was hosting because some kids came from far away. I'll go back around 1130, they told us parents aren't allowed in to the competition rooms in the morning sessions anyway 🤷♀️

I heard DD2 coughing some last night, but she still slept until 8:30. Working on the menu and grocery list now. H is going out while I finish putting away Christmas. I hate how bare the house looks so I put it off every year

Meal planning and dreading going to the grocery store because I know it’s going to be busy since we are getting frigid temps starting tomorrow
Tonight we are doing some fried fish, greens and Mac and cheese and having mil over though so I can’t wait. My house smells like the roasting turkey legs I put in the greens

Day 3 and I have reached boredom. I don't want the tv on. I don't feel like reading. I have reached the end of the internet. We have another big storm happening and I am irrationally mad at the places that aren't opening today even though I can't go and probably wouldn't have anyway.

Listening to 7th grade girls is freaking hilarious especially when they think you can’t hear them. Which uh closing doors doesn’t make y’all magically more quiet.
I also don’t think they can go longer than 2 minutes without mentioning boys. Maybe 2 seconds. Also pretty sure the boys are completely clueless about this!
What an age.

We've gotten over 22 inches of snow since Monday. The roads are all travel not advised or impassable so we haven't left the house in the past couple of days. We had a busy day of activities today but everything was cancelled and church tomorrow is cancelled. We do have to venture out tomorrow to get milk but hopefully the gas station up the block has some. Someone posted pictures of some of the shelves at the local stores and they are bare like early in the pandemic. No eggs, chicken, bread, chips, etc.
We've been doing a ton of board games this week and now DH and the kids are playing video games and I'm going to read. We are all going a little stir crazy but its way to cold to play outside, the wind chill is currently -40°F and we are in a wind chill warning until Tuesday.

We have fully embraced the hygge and I have refused to leave the house since Thursday. We stocked up on basics and I've been baking and cooking like crazy. Yesterday I meal prepped soyrizo breakfast burritos and egg bites and then made gnocchi from scratch, today I made bread bowls and gnocchi soup and we made fajita quesadillas. We were supposed to go to a Taylor Swift ice skating thing tonight that surprisingly was not cancelled and I refused to go. I'm really glad to not be working at the hospital anymore - my friend posted that they ran out of transport stretchers because that's what employees have been sleeping on. Stay safe and warm and I hope your gas station has milk tomorrow!

Whoa nelzie! I’ve seen pics but I don’t think any of my people have gotten quite that much. We were forecasted to get 12-18” and have maybe 10. Womp womp. Even so there’s been significant power outages which is no fun. Maybe we’ll get the 8 more inches overnight tonight but I’m doubtful.
