My youngest convinced me to get him a hamster for his birthday and it’s on the list of my biggest partenting regrets. Mine is making a hard push for a pet rabbit, and I confess that I am considering it.

I'm proud of how far you've come. You're the only one who sees me. I'm an evolved form of myself. I see you and I'm proud of you.

You said being hairless gives a prepubescent look and that’s why women do it today and you wish we would all be “I am woman hear me roar” with smelly hairy armpits and pubes hanging out of our bikini. Okay, but my pits do not smell. Deodorant still works over my armpit hairs Sorry I had a certain kind of hippy in mind when I typed that, which is what led to my next post. SO swears his armpit hair keeps him from smelling as bad. I don’t know if he’s wrong or right, but I don’t assume hairy=smelly for people who bathe regularly.

I’m trying hard to come up with an UO because I know I have no confessions I’m boring Best I've got is I call my child annoying versions of bro. He does not bro or bruh me all that often. I do it far more to him. I have been doing the same since I got Bruh'd several times this summer. I annoy myself a little but I can't stop won't stop

Its so weird because men don’t generally shave their armpits and many have beards. They’re not told they smell for having hair in the same areas we’re shamed for. It’s almost like…proper hygiene works? Well, that does happen. There is a perception that guys with long hair and beards don't take care of themselves. Which is as incorrect as the perceptions about women not shaving. Yes. I’ve been asked if h’s beard is washed or has a smell etc and it’s not even long and you can clearly tell he washes it and maintains it well. I also think wasabi was talking about those who choose to not wear deodorant and everything because damn the man. I don’t think she was lumping all those who don’t shave into a category but I’ll let her explain what she meant

Looking at the history of women shaving, I dont see anything about it being because men want women to look like little girls. Look into the history of internet trolls instead Actually LOLing right now

I think Timothée Chalamet was an awful choice for Laurie in Little Women. He looks like a wan 14-year old Victorian child who might have consumption, and I don't...get it. I'm sure he is otherwise a fine actor, but he's not sexy or anything. He's...pale and thin. And looks like he might need a ride home after swim practice, his mom said it was okay. Inspired by my children who are going to see Wonka right now, with friends. Yes. What a weird choice.

It's inspiring to see the progress the people on the shows make. Like holy shit that's hard work. But I've never been interested in watching anything like that before.

My tattoo artist gets a lot of things from Temu. She loves it. Hopefully for her personal use and not her tattoo business lol Both. They sell tattoo ink that is the same brand she normally buys.

OK, but I love hamsters. I have to keep fighting myself from getting one for DS because I know he won't do the cleaning.

My youngest convinced me to get him a hamster for his birthday and it’s on the list of my biggest partenting regrets. I assume you already pulled the trigger? If not, I highly recommend gerbils (you need to get a pair of brothers born together) over hamsters if you are going to go the rodent route. DD convinced me for her 10th birthday after I refused to get a bearded dragon that was going to live for 20 years and needed me to buy live insects to feed it weekly, so we've had them for over 2 years now, and they have been pretty painless pets. They are still a slight annoyance at times, but nothing terrible, and the consensus from her friends who have had hamsters is that the gerbils are slightly less smelly, not nocturnal, and therefore more fun.

I hate the societal pressure for women to remove hair. It's time consuming and can cause health issues in some cases (skin issues, follicle issues, etc). I wish adults could be accepted as having hair. Hairless gives a pre pubescent look and its creepy that society prefers that for women. I'm glad there's been some push back more recently. Lord, I really hate comparing a grown woman who shaves with looking like a child. That’s just as creepy. And yet it always ALWAYS gets thrown around in these conversations. It is so gross. Why can’t we (general we) just let women do what they want with their body hair?

My confession is that when we went down the rodent research rabbit hole, I REALLY wanted guinea pigs, but I knew having 2 large, prey-driven dogs in the house, we had nowhere we could let them out to exercise safely (which they apparently need, like a large contained area to run around) without my dogs eventually getting to them. And I'm still kinda sad about it ever month when I take my dogs in for their nail trims at the pet store and I see the friendly guinea pigs in the cages. The gerbils are fine and all, but they aren't as interactive.

I <3 our piggies. We have dog sat while having them, and safety wise it was fine (enclosed cage and blocked off from dogs), but they barked a lot and I think the barking though far away, was stressful for them.

If you have someone who is allergic to cat hair, I do not recommend GPs. They shed just as bad. They have hairless ones though and they look adorbs
