I did not say that. I can tag you in my post if you need to re read. You could have left out the “it looks prepubescent and it’s creepy that society prefers that.” And then maybe your argument itself would be more reasonable. I guess I need further clarification. I should have known better. It is very creepy that it is a society preference. Society preference doesn't mean all men are pedophiles. It means society shows us images of what we should be doing. It's creepy on a societal level but your spouse isn't creepy, Wasabi. It's just what all the women in his pornos look like so that's his preference.

Here’s a mild confession: I’m going overboard on DD’s 13th birthday and I need someone to take my card away from me! We’re doing an overnight sleepover at a local-ish hotel for her and 7 friends. It’s Barbie Movie themed. I legit CANNOT stop myself from buying stuff for it! You only turn 13 once, I say go for it. DD turns 13 in April, and I'm in my feels over it. It was such a weird but great birthday for me too. I’m still a little sad but also it’s great too.

I’m still a little sad but also it’s great too. 13 feels very special and sentimental to me too. My family has a tradition that every girl gets a passed down diamond ring on her 13th birthday. So DD will get the ring that me, my mom, and my grandma all got in our 13th birthdays. So I’m very emotional about it.

For my 16th, my mom rented a limo and took me and two friends to a broadway show. I felt so fancy! It's a great memory. She was a struggling single mom and I have NO IDEA how she managed it. Now as an adult I understand what that took for her to do.

I have one cauliflower in oatmeal adjacent, my kids love garlic bread and one day I made it and didn’t have any fresh parsley so I chopped up a bunch of baby spinach and used that instead. They couldn’t tell the difference so I do it every time now. for some reason this is nowhere near as offensive as cauliflower in oatmeal to me. Lol.

I think Timothée Chalamet was an awful choice for Laurie in Little Women. He looks like a wan 14-year old Victorian child who might have consumption, and I don't...get it.
I'm sure he is otherwise a fine actor, but he's not sexy or anything. He's...pale and thin. And looks like he might need a ride home after swim practice, his mom said it was okay.
Inspired by my children who are going to see Wonka right now, with friends.

Because I haven’t felt that about him before. He was cute in Wonka but not hot.

Ok I’m done lol. Someone else talk or my brain will force me to keep going. Or you could all just stop talking to Socks entirely. It's been too quiet around here lately. Apparently.

My firstborn came out with so much back hair I’m still a little traumatized by it. And he’s still hairier than I would have expected of my child.

My youngest convinced me to get him a hamster for his birthday and it’s on the list of my biggest partenting regrets.

You said being hairless gives a prepubescent look and that’s why women do it today and you wish we would all be “I am woman hear me roar” with smelly hairy armpits and pubes hanging out of our bikini. Okay, but my pits do not smell. Deodorant still works over my armpit hairs Yeah, just got to that point and WTF? If you wash, you don't smell. It has nothing to do with body hair. Shaming women who don't want to adhere to an arbitrary beauty norm is no less offensive than the original post. Let's be better than Socks in our rhetoric.

I don’t like the look of David Yurman jewelry and I’m surprised that people still buy it. It’s stuck in the early aughts in my mind. I find DY super classic. Plus I'm leaning into mixing metals and DY does it well.

I was also surprised by the hairy back DS had at birth. I mean, it makes sense, I just hadn’t ever been that close to a brand new born and was like “oh, ok”.

Its so weird because men don’t generally shave their armpits and many have beards. They’re not told they smell for having hair in the same areas we’re shamed for. It’s almost like…proper hygiene works?

I prefer Lagos for daily jewelry and getting more into Julie Vos though it’s a darker gold.
I shave every shower because it’s what *i* prefer - smooth legs in clean sheets is the beeeeest. I should look into laser and save myself the money on razor blades. But I have several friends who don’t shave at all - they all smell perfectly nice and are happy too so 🤷🏻♀️

It's best not to have just one, so we will be swapping in a new one if one passes away, in perpetuity

I’m trying hard to come up with an UO because I know I have no confessions I’m boring Best I've got is I call my child annoying versions of bro. He does not bro or bruh me all that often. I do it far more to him. My husband calls me broseph. I laugh every time.

Its so weird because men don’t generally shave their armpits and many have beards. They’re not told they smell for having hair in the same areas we’re shamed for. It’s almost like…proper hygiene works? Well, that does happen. There is a perception that guys with long hair and beards don't take care of themselves. Which is as incorrect as the perceptions about women not shaving.
