2023 is gone. I feel as though I don’t remember things before 2020.
Let’s make this an amazing year. I’m not setting a resolution because I’ll fail
But, I think we all need to think of an accomplishment (big or small) that we want this year. What is yours?

I’ve been working on my Spanish using Duolingo. My goal for 2024 is to be able to carry on a conversation with my coteacher who is fluent in Spanish without her having to stop and help me!

I'd like to be more present and to not sweat the small stuff.

I want to work on my sleep hygiene and actually pursue a few interests this year.

Organizing and getting rid of unnecessary junk. This was probably also my goal last year, but, well, it’s ongoing lol.
Also trying to focus more on taking care of my health, eating right and decreasing alcohol. The uuuuuusual. But since I’m officially done being pregnant and having babies I need to extra focus on it this year because I got really lax the past few years.

Stop procrastinating. So many things on my to do list keep dropping down til tomorrow or next weekend. Many are not big things either so there's no excuse.

Surviving 😭 But really I want to start using the gym at work at least a couple of times a week and get rid of this excess weight and get healthier because Caroline is counting on me. I also want to organize my house and turn it back into a living space.

I have a long list of house projects to get done. So I may start listing out what we want done and breaking the steps down.
Also want to start reading more and looking at my phone less.

I have several goals but #1 on my list is getting 8 hours of sleep at night. The last few months, I have been so sleep-deprived and have physically and mentally felt the effects of it. Toward that end, I plan to be in bed, reading (no TV or phone) between 10 and 10:30pm each night.

Similar to AmyG, I am struggling with procrastination in a lot of areas of my life so my goal for this year is to be kinder to future me-doing things today that will make my life easier in the short, mid, and long term. It could be as easy as not mindlessly scrolling social media until the kitchen is clean or the rug has been vacuumed/floor swept to; planning holidays more in advance so I am not rushing around trying to get everything done in too short a period of time; pre-planning days off for me to go sit on the beach with a good book and good spf; etc.

I was thinking this year is gonna be the year of going thru every cabinet and closet and shelves in my house and the garage. Dh may maybe sort of help. He asked so why do we have 3 of this plate set and that plate set. I'm like we have this person who breaks one thing of every set I own. Plus 3 +3=6 how many people often eat together here.

But he also, by far, the most active and exhausting of the 3 kids. He is going to go far in life with this kind of stamina, but for now, 😭😭😭 Also H is going to be out of town Wed-Fri so lucky me.

Don’t give up on it yet! I am really hoping it’s partially that he hasn’t been to school and we haven’t been doing our normal morning stuff, so he isn’t as tired. I am definitely going to try for naps later this week.

I’m starting a new job in a couple of weeks (I’m finished up at my old job as it’s school holidays) after being at my current job for 16 years and I am terrified of the new-ness! So surviving the transition and thriving is my goal. I’m not sure I’ll stay at this one for long, but either way it was time to try something new.

Oh, and partly because people here have raved about theirs and partly because I do want to up the quality of food we eat at home, I just bought a bread maker! I can't wait to try it.

But she sleeps like an absolute dream during the night so I didn't mind the no nap. Plus, she was either in daycare or with my mom so I only had to deal with her nonstop activity on the weekends. I would feel like you if I was home with her.

Is this just a resolution thread or can I complain here that I don't wanna go back to work today! It was very hard to get up this morning.

Is this just a resolution thread or can I complain here that I don't wanna go back to work today! It was very hard to get up this morning. There are just three of us in today, and we stood around whining for almost an hour before even turning on computers this morning. Clearly none of us want to be here yet. One of my coworkers suggested we all just quietly read our kindles and leave each other alone, and I wouldn't be mad at that.

Getting a job first and foremost
Other than that just enjoy life. I feel like I’ve been missing things and I want to start enjoying even the little things

I'm glad my kids had a full week off before Christmas but going back on the 2nd makes NYD kinda sad. I wound up gettimg sucked into the end of the football game last night and staying up way too late winding down.
