45 min pop run with Hoskins for 6km. My daughter also had a cheer comp today ( bunnyfungo ) and I needed the time to myself to decompress, those events are just so… loud. I love that journey for my DD but I’ll be not unhappy when she decides it’s not for her. Cheer competitions are a total sensory overload. Between the loud music and all the flashing lights it’s just so. much. I come home exhausted. Our coach calls it a cheer hangover lol My DD2 is in the cheer class, not the team, but asked if she can join the team next year and go to competitions. I was like...if they think you've made enough progress! LOLsob. I can only imagine the noise. I used to get overstimulated at DD1's swim meets.

Why is it that every time I decide to get my shit together, my body says OH NO YOU DON'T! I got another cluster headache yesterday and spent the afternoon/evening in bed. It's not as intense today, but definitely still hanging around. Stupid bodies Hopefully you get better

Morning.
30 minute holiday run with Jess King Extra 10 run with Hannah 10 minute chest and back with Ben 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight. My legs did not want to work today. Cranky muscles.
Food should be fine. I did fine eating yesterday but my portions were way too big. I need to reign it in today.

We’re back to winter. At least for a few days. It’s 25° with a “feels like” temp of 15°. I finally decided to go with a coat for my run. It was just an easy 4 miles. I was definitely overheating by the end but felt like I needed the coat the first half. Normally I would just ditch the coat as I run the loop past my house but I had on my reflective vest since it’s dusk and I didn’t feel like wrestling with it. I’ll have to try out a few combos for this temperature range to find what works best. Question for other cold weather people: what do you wear to protect your face? I know I’ll eventually need something but what do y’all wear that isn’t hard to breathe in? I am more of an indoor cat so I know nothing about winter sports gear 🤣 I don't cover my face, but I know some people use gaiters. I think I'd feel like I was suffocating!

Ugh. I’m starting to get DS’s cold. It’s not full blown yet but I need to do all the things to keep it from that.
Anyways, I was able to get my workout in today.
30 min core and lower body with RK (split day 2) 30 min holiday ride with Leanne (and yes I did the 12 days of Xmas dance lol) 5 min post ride cool down with Kendal

My schedule sucks today but I’m gonna get it in after all my calls are done around 4pm. Not my favorite time to squeeze things in but oh well. Now to decide how stupid of a run I want to do… intervals are calling my name but I also haven’t done a good HIIT run in a while, so we shall see.

45 minute PZE and 5 minute stretch for me. I have another round of PRP tomorrow afternoon, which will take me out for a couple days, so I’m going to try to get another decent ride in tomorrow morning.

Overall, they are significantly better (and less frequent!) than when they started in October. We are tapering up the Topamax as of my follow-up last week, but if after this they still come around we're heading to neuro.

Bike ride to school dropoff (quickly because we forgot DD goes early on Tuesdays), 20 minute holiday strength with Selena, and a walk around the neighborhood with DH and the dog. Done for today.

Easy couple of miles on the treadmill today. It’s CD1 and I’m just proud of myself for doing anything.

I didn’t do much yesterday. Planned on OTF early this morning, but cancelled it because I was at urgent care with DS until pretty late and just didn’t want to. H and I ended up taking a hilly 4 mile walk with him this morning, so that was a nice alternative.
Going to 5 am OTF tomorrow for sure.

30 min legs and core with Rebecca, 15 min barre with Hannah, 5 min core with Callie.
B - blueberry waffle, turkey bacon L - leftover pulled pork and random edamame from the other day D - shrimp in a tomato cream sauce over spaghetti squash S - Skinnytaste mug cake
I feel like I'm not enjoying my dinners when I have to shove them in before DS's basketball practice 6-7. I guess I could eat afterwards but then I'm starving by then. Yes I know this is not a unique problem lol.

Lol sorry, I should have lead with that. 😂 He got a prescription for prednisone, and an inhaler. His cough still sounds pathetic, but he definitely has more energy today, which is good. He is still so grumpy though, and he is airing alllllll his grievances.

Morning.
10 minute warm up ride with Bradley 30 minute holiday ride with Ally 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga tonight. I had a lower body strength stacked too, but I skipped it because my legs needed the break.
I did not bring lunch today to school. I'm going to order broccoli cheddar soup from Panera for lunch now, because mmmmmm, yummy. I also need something comforting. DS is getting more sick instead of better since he got booted from daycare Friday. H is home with him today. DD1 has the same junky cough but no other symptoms. I'm starting to develop a dry cough. Stupid germs. Stupid. So yeah, soup.

I can pull them down easily when needed and it's easy to put it back up in place when I want the coverage.

I woke up feeling better so I got ready to take dd to school with my workout clothes on but as soon as I started the dizziness started. It’s got to be all inner ear sinus stuff but you would think the mucinex would be helping with the ear stuff!
Ugh it’s the first week I’ve not been able to do anything since September and I’m getting antsy. I’ll try again tomorrow

Still teetering on the edge of being sick. I feel better today but I still have a scratchy throat and an occasional tight cough. I got into bed at 8 last night and just read and let my body rest. Also lots of fluids and zinc, vitamin C, etc.
10 min standing core with RK 30 min legs and biceps with RK (split day 3) 20 min full body stretch with Hannah C
I’m enjoying this split program so far and looking forward to seeing results after repeating it for a few weeks. I’m trying to not do too much on top of it but it’s hard for me to stop my need for cardio. I find the cardio is more for my mental health. I don’t get the same mental health benefits from strength training at this point (maybe down the line I will). So I have to balance that a bit. I’ll figure it out but it’s just a change.

jaygee that’s my struggle between cardio and strength as well. This AM, actually, I had decided to maybe try just adding 10-15 min strength after my cardio, instead of a whole 30 or 45 minute strength on its own day. So today I did Joslyn’s 20 min Spotify happy holidays run outdoor (because I also need sunshine and fresh air for my mental health) And 10 min beginner barre with Ally - trying something new.

45 minute groove ride this morning, which took me over 100 miles so far for the month. PRP this afternoon. If it doesn’t take me out for more than a couple days, I should be able to hit 200 miles for the month, even with the holidays. But I’m not going to stress.

Went to OTF this morning, just skipped the very last 3 minute tread power block because I had to get ready for school holiday stuff for both DD2 and DS. I am glad I started on the floor, because the strength portion was slow and heavy.
