My sense of her is that she craves stability and safety, given her childhood (or lack thereof). Adele will tell you that her marriage - even though it didn't ultimately work out - saved her life and her ex-H is still her hero. Let us hope that if this marriage is not a forever thing, it is a positive phase at least. I always cringe (wrong word, just feel like oh dear) more at very young people having babies than marriage though. Marriages can end, without it being more than the close of one chapter. Parenthood is forever. This is exactly why I don’t think it’s odd. I think she wants stability and a sense of normalcy, and she sees marriage as that. I was scream-singing "Living on a Prayer" as I was cooking supper the other night, and DD1 came in the kitchen and asked me to stop. She was so annoyed/deadpan that it made me laugh.

I met MH at 19, married at 25, still going strong after 13 years of marriage. But I tell my kids all the time that they shouldn't get married until 30, mostly in the context of explaining why they can't marry each other, and why they don't need to worry about what they're going to name their 10 babies. I guess it's good that they like each other?

As a shore goer, we worship at the alter of Bon Jovi and Bruce. And knowing multiple people that know them, everyone says they’re both really great guys. One of my friends family has some connection to him when she was a kid in NJ. She’s LOVES him and will frequently tell the story of him and tossing the her and some other kids into the pool at some pool party. |

S/0 marriage and country music, I'm taking MH to see Miranda Lambert in Las Vegas for his 40th in July. I hate country music and I am certain MH would leave me for Miranda if given the chance but I'm just such a nice wifey. Has anyone seen her Vegas show?

I saw Bon Jovi in concert several years ago and thought it was great! They played all the hits. Maybe this was pre-country era. Also my tickets were free so that helped.
Never realized how tiny he is though, until that concert.
