I don’t TikTok, so I didn’t follow the link the other day about Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughy thinking they’re half brothers, but I just saw a story about it.

Notes:

-Matthew’s mother (who appears often on his and his wife’s SM as “Ma Mac”) made a comment once to Woody, “I knew your dad,” and they extrapolated from the way she said, “knew,” that it was in the biblical sense

-apparently this would’ve been around the time that Matthew’s parents were divorcing (which they did, from each other, twice) and geographically it is plausible

-they’re making a fictional Apple TV series together called Brother from Another Mother

-Matt is not sure he wants to get a DNA test because he has believed his dad (Big Jim) is his dad his whole life

-I have studied pics of both fathers, visual assessment inconclusive. They’re white guys 🤷‍♀️ although I think Matthew looks just like his mom.

When his dad died (having sex), Ma Mac refused to cover the body:

"I found out later that when the ambulance came to get him at the house, obviously all the neighbours came out on the street. So maybe the post is trying to be sneaky vague and saying Jaime ODed?

When I was in London, Matthew McConaughey and Camila walked into the room while we were having tea. I can’t explain it, but he’s the only celeb I ever met that has something. Like, an actual presence, a movie star. His energy took up the whole room and everyone just turned to watch.

Also, he’s incredibly handsome and I still think about the gorgeous coat he was wearing.

I started following Camila on IG after the Uvalde shooting. She makes a lot of little videos with Ma Mac, who is, as you may have gathered, a real character. It seems like they have a genuinely close relationship.

Omg so I was telling my friend about my sisters run in with Ryan Gosling and she told me she had the weirdest encounter with Nicholas Cage. I was like story for the Blinds!!

She prefaced her story with she is not a weird Nic Cage fan, she doesn’t find him attractive, she’s not obsessed with him or his movies, etc.

She said she looked up and saw him standing there and she was just awestruck and it was like a golden aura was around him and light was shining and he just stood there. She said she was like omg!! And it was the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to her.

I could not stop laughing when she told me this.

I think it makes sense why people become starstruck at certain celebrities. I mean yes, nepo, $$$, connections, talent, looks all help make someone famous but charisma distinguishes people and some celebrities simply have a lot of it which I’m sure had helped elevate them. I’m not even a Bill Clinton fan but a similar feeling when I met him in person - it was like an energy field around him, I’ve never experienced anything like it before or since.

Omg. My brother just met him for his influencer thing and he was telling me how he’s such a cool guy. I was so confused and just kept being like, “what? Doesn’t he have brain damage? I don’t get it.” And finally he was like, “… Cher, that’s Gary Busey.” I don’t understand why I mixed them up but I was so weirded out at my brother being charmed by this strange vh1 reality show man.
