I'm guessing bookstores have it in already, maybe somebody got paid a shit ton of money for taking pics of a few pages and texting them to a reporter. According to eholmes, the reporter (Martin Pengally) who wrote the story and got it also similarly scooped several other big memoirs recently. So he likely has big publishing house sources which also probably means they will stay deep under wraps. It makes me think of the scene in Devil Wears Prada where Andy is able to get the Harry Potter manuscript from a friend of a friend who did the artwork. This makes sense given it was leaked to The Guardian and not the tabloids and that while they got a copy of the book, they only printed one passage. A controlled leak like that just helps sales anyway most likely. |

Man I really wonder what Harry's endgame is here. Saying he wants his brother and father back while putting this out. I'm 100% on his side but he knows you can't talk about family business publicly and expect a reconciliation. I was just listening to the You're Wrong About series about Diana and they had noted the reaction to her interview by the upper-class was basically that it was cringy (cheugy whatever) to talk about this stuff publicly. I have to imagine not much has changed. I just preordered it on Audible, clearing my schedule for the 10th 😂 I seriously think at this point he doesn’t care about a relationship but is just giving the reporters what they want by saying he does? Or he is afraid of how it will look if he says he doesn’t? Or maybe he does but obviously only if they are able to say they did do these things. |

Kinda puts Tyler Perry’s words comparing Meghan and Harry’s treatment to domestic violence in a new light. :/ In other semi royal news, I’m watching their other Netflix show right now and I love Meghan’s narration voice. She’s a much better narrator than actress. If that's how he treats his brother, how does he treat his kids? 😟 |

Interview hype always seems to portray things out of context for views, I think. I'm going to withhold judgment on any of this until I read the book and watch the interviews vs reading or watching snippets that could have been edited any which way without the full context.
I remember all the rush to judgment (not here) when the trailers for the Netflix series were released and claims of Harry and Meghan using footage of paparazzi for other people and positing it as their own when no such thing occurred when one actually watched the series. It was to show how things had evolved from in-your-face in-person to online and I expected footage from Diana to be shown because duh.

Oh somebody is going to be pissed… I was reading on Reddit that libraries are getting extra emails from the publishers reminding them that the seal on the box with the books shouldn’t be broken early, yet here the whole book is out. 🫢

I pre-ordered the book on Amazon and it says it will be delivered Tuesday.
I love GMA and according to Michael Strahan he has already read the whole book. He said it was jaw dropping.

Apparently they aren’t to get the book until the night before the release date. They are saying that the publisher is doing what was done security wise for the last Harry Potter book. Not sure how true that is but someone got an advanced copy Bookstores get the books early, but leave the boxes sealed for things with hard release dates. |

I saw on TT that apparently no one really got a pre copy of the book. Like even top executives weren’t even allowed to see it. She implied that it was only the people who were directly involved in it. |

I would wager a guess that I probably have a higher tolerance threshold for scrapping between grown ass men than a lot of people here. It’s not my husband and my style for ourselves, but we know plenty of people who have shoved their brothers off of pontoons as a score settling maneuver. But stalking your brother into his house to beat him up because *checks notes* you don’t like his wife. That’s pure rage and I’m sure his wife and kids and staff have seen it, too. You are right. I shouldn’t assume that he doesn’t show his temper in other ways. You are right. I shouldn’t assume that he doesn’t show his temper in other ways. I guess I was just thinking like you more brother’s fighting but I guess that temper did show also in his run in with the paps trying to film his kids which we all praised him for Well, absent other information, his run in with the paps seemed appropriate at the time — and honestly still does. Just because he has a temper doesn’t mean he’s never wrong to be angry. (Haz has been angry with the paps, too, and it is also justified.) There can be some nuance here, for me. Like it can be true that William never stood a chance, but also that he has likely taken his temper out on his children. And it can be true that both brothers can yell at the paps but also that there is an anger there that isn’t not strictly justified by the circumstances. ETA: they probably both have PTSD, but one of them seems like he’s working on it and one of them is going to be the King of England one day. So I’m ultimately going to side with Team Health and Improvement. I am agreeing with you. I’m just saying we have seen his temper before but it never really crossed my mind about it coming out with the kids |

There have been stories over the years that he has a temper, that he and Kate have had screaming matches where they can be heard on international trips, etc. I think that’s why people overall are believing the story as Harry tells it- you see some people saying Harry deserved it (which wtf?!) but there aren’t really many I’ve seen saying Harry is fabricating the story.

I always thought it had something to do with Kate being pregnant/giving birth - not in a bad way, in a "hormonal rollercoaster" kind of way. Shit, I cry at random stuff when I get my period. I know Meghan never talked about it, said Kate apologized, and moved on. I really think Meghan wanted to put it behind them. |

As we've discussed before, I project my own life onto the "very pregnant before a family wedding" situation. But yea, it would be interesting to hear an Archetypes episode about pregnancy and motherhood now that she's done it a few times. Because woof to the hormones thing.
