Ok one thing during all the penis talk (my gosh) that struck me was that he didn’t feel he could go through the palace to get medical care. That’s… not good.

So I'm curious because I haven't read and don't plan to read, but what's the reasoning? Do they not have dedicated BRF doctors? The guy just came back from the North Pole, let him get checked out for frostbite. |

Also he brings up the topic of whether he and Willy were circumcised (my gosh again) because the PRESS had speculated so much about it!!? When they were young. The press was all a titter about whether Diana had let her boys be circumcised. Like… I knew they had no privacy but WOW.

I think they had doctors available, he just didn’t;t want to use one of their doctors because he knew they {Camilla) would have leaked it to the press the next time she needed a diversion. Except the headline would have been “Prince Harry sees doctor for mysterious penis ailment” leaving everyone to speculate where he picked up an STD. |

I finished part 1 of the book. My biggest takeaway so far is how Camilla is just as much of an awful human as we all assumed she is. Also how traumatizing to lose both your mom and one of your best friends in car accidents  |

I forgot until now how amused I was at Harry’s memories of his Aunt Margaret. How later he realized they were more similar than he would have thought when he was a kid. And how she gave him a pen for Christmas. 😂

Because it was discussed earlier in the thread, this morning I got to the part where he talked about being circumcised but he didn’t mention that Will was. Does he say it later on or is this one of those rumors from the first few days of the leak that was misreported on Twitter?
Like he says how invasive it was that the press would run stories about whether or not they were, but when he confirmed, he only talked about himself.

I'm to the part where he's just starting to fly Apache helicopters. My biggest takeaway is just how bizarre this life is. Like something simple, not going to the casino because it would cause a scandal is so weird. It's like the very worst type of celebrity where you're not just rich and famous, all of your actions reflect on your family and are scrutinized.
Harry seems relatively grounded and down-to-earth for it all.
His American accent attempts are worth the audiobook purchase.

Reading all the war stuff makes a lot of sense on his mind and I really truly hope that he can find someone to guide him here because it’s where he seems the most at ease I really felt bad for him here, it's something he was good at and enjoyed but he can't do it because his mere presence puts others at risk. Just really hard. |

And really, it makes so much more sense that a TWELVE and FIFTEEN year old would not be dividing up jewelry right then and instead do it down the line as adults/with SOs to share with/etc |
