DH went to a CVS to get his booster. He forgot his vaccine card, which had never been an issue before. The pharmacist wouldn’t give him a shot (his phone had died and I tried looking it up on the VDH website but the website was down) without proof of his prior vaccines, and she wouldn’t look up his info, so he came home without a shot. So that was a pile of poop. Ugh, Im sorry! Mh went to a CVS and they didn't ask for his card and he came home without getting it updated - and was jabbed him pretty hard. He went to a closer cvs and thankfully they updated it since it was in their system. Hoping he can get an appointment soon (I think you may be in local to the DMV, if so the Beltsville target pharmacy was great last week for me).

Our target cvs is usually great for shots, but didn’t have appointments so admittedly it was a different one local to us- but still surprising! I don’t get why they are the some company and each does it so differently.

VDH is functional again today, so once we get over the barrier of making a new appointment (thanks ADHD), DH should be set to go, regardless of what's required.
ETA I just went ahead and booked it for him.

H got his Moderna booster and flu shot today. He hasn't had much reactions to previous shots so hopefully he'll be okay.

Aye! That's where we usually have good luck. Yeah this was almost 13 years ago lol I'm not sure why, but that and several other CVS locations near me, aren't offering the booster. Only *select* ones.

Got my bivalent booster today! My hospital only has Pfizer so that’s what I got.
And DS was mad I didn’t bring him a mask to wear to school. I was like what?! You asked to not wear one? Very confused. I guess I’ll put an extra one in his backpack in case he decides. I don’t even know haha.
Q: My parents got their second booster end of May, so it’s been 3.5 months. They move to Colombia first week of October. They should just get the bivalent one end of September right?

I would have them get it in the next week (or no later than 14 days before they fly) so it will have fully kicked in by the time they fly.

Got the flu and booster today, one in each arm. I'm interested to see which one feels worse. They are both sore right now.

K.P updated about the new booster and says they should have them by sept 20th. Now I’m trying to decide whether to get it the beginning of Oct (so I can lay low to recover) or wait a bit longer.

DS(18) just tested positive 😣 He started having a sore throat/runny nose Friday, tested negative Sunday afternoon, and was coughing today so I made him test again just now and it lit right up. He's supposed to have an exam tomorrow and a ROTC workout
I also have a stuffy nose and sore throat but tested negative. Hopefully DS2 doesn't get it again. DD is supposed to go on a field trip next week. I don't even know what the school procedure is anymore.
MH hasn't been home in 2 weeks because he was studying for his PhD qualifying exam today. Now he probably won't come home again. I need to find someone to cut our grass 😬

The vertigo is ridiculous. I want off this ride. ugh I'm so sorry. As a possible forewarning, the vertigo keeps coming back for me. Long after the COVID s gone.

So how do we count days now? DS had symptoms on Fri but no positive test until last night. Is Sat day one or today?
I'm on day 3 of a runny nose and sore throat, but tested negative yesterday. I feel pretty confident I'll turn a test in the next day or 2.

I feel pretty confident I'll turn a test in the next day or 2. From what I understood from the CDC website and my pediatrician's office when we got sick last week it's counted from the onset of symptoms, with the first day of symptoms as day zero. So 5 days out from that you're technically allowed to end isolation with 5 days of masking as long as symptoms are improving. I rapid tested everyone at day 6 because I wanted to know and only my H and I (who were by far the sickest) were still testing positive on the rapids, though much fainter of a line. Eta: it was a pretty quick turn for us though- I had an awful headache on Friday and Friday night my H was like I feel really off, I'm going to bed early then we both woke up Saturday feeling awful. I tested all of us that day and we were both positive along with the youngest (who seemed completely fine the whole time). So we didn't have a lot of ambiguity in the timeline either.

That's where I find it confusing for us. It could be a difference of 3 days for DS. I suppose it would make the most sense to be conservative I've also had "symptoms" for 3 days now but no positive test yet

We're all finally negative. Everyone else is back to normal and I still feel like shit. Par for the course over here. Has anyone else had a significantly decreased appetite with Covid? How long did it take to go away? I'm down to one meal a day and I really have to force myself to even eat that.
