There are a great number of people here and on GD who feel that way. Vocally and openly. And I don’t see you riding on in as her defender when they’re speaking. It’s interesting you did it here. |

Are all those Greek people related to Phillip? Prince Philip's father and Constantine II's grandfather were brothers. I've been fascinated with Queen Victoria's genealogy for years and the way her descendents spanned across so many European monarchies. For example, Pavlos and Marie-Chantal were at the jubilee because Queen Margrethe II is his aunt (his mother's older sister) and Margrethe herself is a distant cousin of Queen Elizabeth. *Excuse my nerding. Can you tell I know no one who appreciates that part of history? 😄 I will often deep dive on the family trees. It’s so intriguing |

I actually cackled though when I saw a legit news headline saying the park service asked people to stop bringing sandwiches and stuffed bears. Apparently they're getting so many that they don't know what to do with them all. They've officially requested that the public bring only unwrapped flowers. |

I just think some people go extra hard against Phil allllll the time. Some people don’t bc they’ve blocked her and some don’t because they don’t care much. I don’t care that much but I merely made a comment on it because I don’t consider her a troll the way socks is one and because Ariel literally asked and am I not allowed to give my opinion? Phil can be OTT and she can post interesting discussion worthy things depending on what board / thread it is, so 🤷🏻♀️. I don’t feel the need to ride on in defending her when she’s arguing with people on GD bc I don’t care or feel like I need to? I don’t spend much time on GD, either. 🤷🏻♀️ |

Maybe I find it revolting to dedicate your time and effort to making food to put on display to show your dedication to a dead millionaire who never did anything for you, when there’s millions of people in the country who cannot afford to eat, who use food banks daily. But nah, I’m just trolling!! Sure. There is something a little “burn the crops before the queen” about food being left out. But it’s also a reference to a cartoon thing, so it could have been a kid? Either way, seems like whoever is in charge of all the flowers and shit have asked for the sandwiches to stop, so hopefully they do! Thank god, we can rest easier knowing the children have been stopped from referencing a cartoon 😂 This is my favorite thing we’ve ever been mad about. If we had Royal Thread Halloween (like the blinds) I’d be the Sandwich. |

Because I think it's an important part of the conversation, and we need to respect that some folks truly don't feel bad about the queen passing and that's ok. For an example, on the politics forum people might post about a tragic event, people can post about the sadness and thoughts with those it has affected, at the same time people can call out horrible people that put horrible laws in place that might have impacted this happening, right? So you’re welcome to continue fawning over dresses and tiaras as much as I am welcome to be “pissed about a sandwich”. Because it’s how you present it.
