Charles will give his speech shortly, BBC world news is covering it. There’s a service following. His speech appears to be pre-taped. I'm wondering if they prerecorded it in case he shows emotion and starts to cry. Or you know, busy with PM stuff |

Not that I expected it, but it would have been a great opportunity to *not* have a Prince of Wales. I know when we spent time there people talked openly about how they liked William’s service (we were near Anglesea) but hated the monarchy as an institution. Locals would joke with us about how to get rid of them permanently “like we did.”

Now I am not 100% on this, but they might be able to use the title Prince and Princess of Wales now, as it has been announced.
Just as Charles is King Charles, even though he hasn’t not offically been coronated.

I’m also curious to see if any jewels come out of the vaults. The queen had personal tastes and had full control; I’m guessing Camilla will be more lenient to lend Kate stuff. Camilla also has more taste for the big stuff and I’m hoping she pulls out some of the old queen mothers stuff.
I’m also wondering if we will finally see of the other kept hidden greville jewels. Finally.
