peachsmama that stinks, but maybe this will end up being a good thing?? I hope you get it wifi soon. mamabear everything yummeecookee said. I've also heard you can try pumping for 10-15 minutes right after the baby nurses, even if you don't get anything, to try and stimulate more milk.

Hi everyone. I've missed you for two days I didn't check in yesterday because V got bitten by another child at daycare. No one noticed and I picked him up only to realize he had a terrible, huge, bruised human bite mark on his leg, a cut on his face and a cut on his leg. I'm still so sad that no one was watching him or caring for him enough to notice.

Yikes, what the hell csho? Poor poor V. How is he doing now? It sounds like he got mauled and no one even realized it. I don't understand.

He won't tell me what happened other than "a friend hurt him" I know biting happens, I'm just disturbed that he received no care, not even a hug because no one paid any attention to his injuries for who knows how long. They told me he had a great day at pickup. My ass.

csho, how awful! I'd be so mad and sad. Did you mention it to them today? I mean I realize they can't see everything, but that's pretty extreme.

Not cool at all, csho. I'm so sad for V and I'd be so angry at D.C. How do they miss that?

mamabear I agree with unicorn Pump after every feed, or continue to pump the other side while she feeds to stimulate more milk. Oatmeal is great- ive heard to get the not instant kind. I keep granola bars on hand, too. yummeecookee that may be it. I read on Kelly mom it can take a 2-3 months to regulate. I hope that's it, because I can't go on like this for the next 6 months.

I would totally be wtf to the daycare, too. csho Poor V. What is their policy on incidents like that? We usually receive phone calls about stuff of that nature.

I emailed photos of the injuries to the director when I got home last night. She said typically both sets of parents receive a phone call right away and the bitten child is taken to her office and assessed for medical care and cleaned up.
Of course none of this happened because none of the three teachers saw anything or remember him crying or noticed his injuries at any point.

Whoa csho! We get notes for everything, and a phone call for anything particularly bad. That sounds particularly bad. How did no one notice?? I can see him not bringing it up himself, being in a new place, but someone should have noticed!! I'm sorry. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

csho are the cuts related to the bite as well? Not cool on the dcs part. Make sure you tell V that he needs to tell his teachers when someone is mean to him. Biting and hitting isn't cool.

Pumping mamas- i have about 50 oz of freezer stash but feel like it was difficult to get...and today i tried to pump one side while A nursed and got nothing...bad news for Monday when i start work? I'm afraid I'll start back to work not making enough (with L I only made it 7 months). The thought of trying to increase my supply is already exhausting me. Besides eating the cookies and drinking tea. I guess this is more of a vent but advice is appreciated. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk Sorry you're feeling stressed. Do you normally nurse from both sides when feeding or only one? When I nurse I only ever do one side per feeding but I always double pump. You should try pumping first thing in the morning when your supply is at it's highest.

Steel cut oats is what they recommend. They do make instant steel cut now.

Sorry you're feeling stressed. Do you normally nurse from both sides when feeding or only one? When I nurse I only ever do one side per feeding but I always double pump. You should try pumping first thing in the morning when your supply is at it's highest. Sometimes she only wants one side and sometimes both. I've been pumping one side manually while she nurses around 9:30 because at 6:30 I'm not really awake enough although i know i should try. And i try to pump at night before bed since she dropped that feeding. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk I got one of these when S was around 6 months old, I wish I would have gotten it when she was first born. It suctions to the side they aren't nursing on and collects anything you drip. I didn't get a ton per session but it all adds up at the end of the day. It's no work for you like a manual pump is. mamabear I always ate graham crackers and drank apple juice or something else high in fiber while pumping at work. That seemed to help. My doctor also recommended to look at a picture of LO while pumping. It's suppose to help.

trtlcrzy What was the name of the stuff you bought for me after I had H? I really liked it and bought it a few times afterwards but can't find my emails for it. I bet that could help mamabear, too.
