mrspiatt, I say this with the most love imaginable. There is no way in hell I would move to Belize given the current state of things. I mean, I have so many questions. Like how easy it to get jobs there? What is their immigration policy? Health care (and mental health care)? What type of support system would you have? Do you have the funds available to come back to the states if there is an emergency? I would be willing to take a risk on moving somewhere else within the US but to a whole other country? Time for me to get nosey: Is your DH addressing his bipolar? Is he currently talking his medications, getting therapy, etc? Because this idea, sounds like the disease talking to me. I don't want to discount his need/want to get out of his current situation- I'm just wondering how well thought out it is.

Weird times here in the land of community college staff... Monday I get to tell auditors from the state what I do all day and hope they don't decide I'm unnecessary. Yay.

Thanks for the support ladies. I did speak with the Office Manager today. He was very receptive to everything I had to say about my experience and validated that the hygienist's actions were wrong. The down side is that apparently he is the only hygienist so I cannot switch to another one. The manager did offer to set me up at one of the other Aspen locations if I didn't want to come back. I think I'm going to take his offer. Just the thought of sitting in that man's chair again makes my heart race. So the manager said he will address the situation in tomorrow morning's staff meeting. I guess that's as good as it's going to get 💁
I texted my friend when A and I got to Panera for lunch, just to let her know where we were sitting, and she immediately wrote back that she over booked herself and couldn't make it. Allllllrighty. So we ate quick then ran over to Old Navy and got home in time for A's nap.

mrspiatt hi! I creeped on your new bmb yesterday (a baby naming thread popped up on my main Tapatalk page) and I saw people in there considering amberly and everly lol. Also mrspiatt WHOA about moving to Belize. I honestly do not even know where it is? My only association with Belize is this... As an euphemism for murder on breaking bad Either way - I hope you can figure it out. I couldn't imagine moving across the world if I wasn't 100% about it.

mrspiatt +1 to everything skinandbones said (like she read my mind). If a move needs to be made, within US would be my only option (SO much stress to consider immigration anywhere, including Canada, it's quite difficult). I would make the necessary move within US now and make a long term plan for somewhere else, if that's what you guys want, after a significant period of you guys being in a stable place.

skinandbones I rely on you ladies to be nosy and ask these questions, because I need help figuring out what I need to consider that hasn't been considered. Because we're coming from the US, it would be easier to get better jobs out there. We would not be able to move out the with a job in Belize. He would get a telecommmuting job in the US and if he wanted to make a change from there, he could. We would go down there with enough to set aside to come back to the US if we choose to. If I did agree to it, I would have access to the money and not him. Immigration to Belize is pretty easy and there are a lot of expats there. We narrowed down the cities we'd move to in previous research we've done (because this is something that has been previously looked into by us). We found expat friendly communities with pretty decent medical care and schools. Mental Heath is something I hadn't previously looked into, but I started yesterday and I don't have an answer on it. As for H's bipolar- he's seeing his psychiatrist monthly, therapist is every other week and he has been taking his medication. His need for change is not the disease talking, but the decision to move to Belize may be and that is certainly something I plan to address with him after he takes his trip next week. As it stands right now, I'm a 90% NO on it. I'd much rather move somewhere within the US that has a lower cost of living and that is also something I'll be discussing with him. He's done a really good job of communicating the way he's feeling lately, so I'm at least able to understand a little better where he's coming from when he says certain things. It was filthy. so it doesn't surprise me that the staff there is bottom rung.

joi922, what the hell does she want??? does she not have enough to do to keep her busy. i would pick up the phone every time she walks by. She feels the need to discuss the same thing multiple times. And really, I'm not doing much talking, so it's more that she likes to hear herself talk about the same thing several times. Plus, she dislikes our supervisor, so she asks me all the questions and always checks before doing something, even if she's done it before. Lots of "I want to do X, is that okay?" She really just need a to grow a pair, make a decison, and freaking do it. I shouldn't need to hold her hand all the time. So yeah, I'm done. She will figure it out. Or go bother someone else. I'm okay with either option. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Well no ear infection. Hopefully it won't turn to one. He hasn't had a temp over 100.2 since we gave him Motrin at 10:15 last night so I'm hoping he's on the road to getting better. amberlie, he always seems to have a cold when teething, I'm assuming because of the extra saliva and congestion that comes with teething, it causes some sort of fluid buildup that causes the bacteria buildup in the ear. This is my not-medically-trained mommy opinion.

Makes sense Pizzaslut! I am thankful (and it seems very lucky) that neither of my girls has had an ear infection so far... I knew they were mostly caused by other sicknesses that lead to fluid build up but that's about the extent of my knowledge lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

vern .. I do believe with our insurance, it is our only option, unless we drive a significant distance. Honestly, the establishment is nice. Our first time going there was in January so this was only my 2nd visit. The first visit went very smoothly and I felt very comfortable but maybe since I was a "new patient" they were trying a bit harder? Who knows

mrspiatt you may have said this and I apologize if I missed it, but what's the appeal of Belize? Have either of you been there for an extended period of time?

Any idea how we might get fleas if our cats never go outside? I think I just saw one on the carpet

Do they jump pretty high? Please tell me no. This thing was small. Very small, like the size of a piece of rice. It was brownish reddish in color. I only saw it because I had just finished working out and I was laying on my stomach on the carpet. It was jumping at me. After the second time I freaked and couldn't find it. I was going to try to get a photo. It probably jumped a few inches

Fleas are pretty tiny, usually smaller than rice. If it's jumping, it's probably a flea. 😞

Then if you can, I'd hire a professional exterminator with a guarantee. We have gotten them out ourselves but it literally took months. You can use borax powder or diatomaceous earth for carpets, couches, etc. And vacuum constantly, like 3x a day. Also wash everything you can... bedding and stuff in hot water, dry on high heat. Keep cats treated year-round even if they don't go outside.
