I ate that Greek bowl this morning (with cauli rice and roasted chickpeas, added spinach) and I'm stuffed. It was super filling.

I'm side eyeing my coach right now. Her suggestion for helping combat "fatigue" from doing constant meal prep is to meal prep.

I'm getting ready to go to Zumba. I'm not planning to eat my calories back but should I trust MFP's calorie burn or wear my phone somehow (don't have a Fitbit)

We just got back from vacation and I need to get into my routine again asap. I can't go to my WW meeting until next Friday when the kids are back in school. Hoping between now and then I can reset. I have a love/hate with vacations for this reason. I really dislike anything that distracts from my day-to-day eating and exercise.

I ate my planned breakfast and lunch, got in a 15 minute walk on my lunch break, and then we got our butts handed to us for the next 6 hours in the ER. I got hungry and had nothing nearby until the ER director brought down peanut m&ms....so that was my snack. Light supper and I'm still in my cals.
My roasted veg and grilled chicken quinoa bowl was fabulous and I'm already looking forward to lunch again tomorrow!

I did pretty well on food today. I packed all my food and only forgot my salty snack (popcorn) so I went to the vending machine for some reduced fat cheese it's, which are only one point more than the popcorn.
I need more ideas for salty/chip type snacks. I have the sweet ones on point and I don't crave much sweet but I seem to need something salty everyday mid morning.

I got a bag of pepitas/pumpkin seeds at Aldi and I think you could eat a lot for a few points. Or sunflower seeds? Mini Rice cakes? Aldi also has cheese and caramel flavors. I think 2pts per serving Jerky or turkey pepperoni are also good protein with the salt

@juliagulia thank you for the suggestion.
I'm using MFP & MMW to try and lose 20lbs. I also just want to eat healthier, I've been eating a lot of junk lately.

My weekly weigh in average was down 0.4 lb, but considering how terribly I ate as a whole last week I will take it. Back on track yesterday and I feel so much better this morning.

Almonds are a lot of points so I have just stayed away from all nuts but the pumpkin seeds sound great. Turkey pepperoni is my jam but I totally forgot about it.

Can someone tell me how I had a great food day and worked out (plus didn't eat those calories back) and yet I was up a pound. I know this is going to be when I have to go back to my weekly weigh ins only so I don't obsess.

I know this is going to be when I have to go back to my weekly weigh ins only so I don't obsess. Water. Need to poop. Poor sleep. Lots of things can cause it. I was 3 lbs heavier yesterday due to bad diet over the weekend and bloating.

Can someone tell me how I had a great food day and worked out (plus didn't eat those calories back) and yet I was up a pound. I know this is going to be when I have to go back to my weekly weigh ins only so I don't obsess. Have you measured yourself? This is one of the reasons that I encourage measuring. Also, exercise can make you GAIN weight at first. There's probably more than one process in the body that causes this, but one I know is...when you exercise, you create tiny tears in the muscle. The tears are good because when they heal, that's where the new muscle grows (which is how they heal). In the interim, those gaps fill with water, and that makes you gain weight (temporarily), but it's not bad weight. It just is. Also, the scale is a lying liar who lies, so while the general trajectory of your weight is good to keep an eye, your clothes, your measurements, your overall feeling of wellness and fitness are better gauges of your progress than your scale is. Ok, but I know and I'm completely human and I understand how the number on the scale feels like everything. It isn't.

I came in right at my points and I was surprised to see how many points some things are! But I get it - that makes me make different choices. I had no points left at the end of the day for a glass of wine which made me sad, but it was pretty easy to skip. This may sound weird, but I'm having moments of sadness through this process- like I'll find myself looking forward to going out to dinner with H or opening a bottle of wine on the weekend, and I'm like - nope, that's not allowed. I'm assuming things balance out though. Right?? In regards to your salty snack comment above- do you like Veggie Straws? I love them and 40 of them are 4 points. I like when serving sizes are 40.

I had a great back on track day yesterday and I'm looking forward to another one today. I'm committing to only drinking on Saturdays for now, which means even when H is OOT, no weekday wine for me.
I also need to work on meal planning and I think I may make that my action item/Noom goal for the upcoming week. I've been doing this healthy eating thing long enough that I can make acceptable meals every night without sketching out a weekly plan. That gets boring, though, because we end up eating the same stuff all the time, but it's efficient because I don't have to think about it. I'd like to come to a better balance of novelty and ease/comfort- I don't want to be trying a new recipe every night, but I want to find a way to regularly incorporate variety into our meal plans.
