I know I've mentioned refeed days a few times. I found an article that explains exactly why it can be helpful for long term "dieting". www.muscleforlife.com/refeedI was thinking about this again last night. Thanks for posting.

Short week Meal plan:
Sunday: instant pot turkey teriyaki meatballs, rice, veggie side Monday: broiled salmon, broccoli and carrots Tuesday: skinnytaste pizza stuffed chicken rolls ups, salad
My biggest thing is I need some fruit and veggie snacks on hand. Since we've been traveling I haven't been to the farmers market to get things like apples and cherry tomatoes that I can just snack on.

I think I'm going to do those Italian chicken bowls for lunches and those skinnytaste baked omelette muffins for breakfast

I've decided to try the Italian chicken meal bowls instead of the Greek. It looks less intimidating for my first real meal prep attempt and MFP calculated it to be about 480 calories per bowl. Mine calculated 545 did you leave anything out

angelashly, it automatically changed 2-4 cups of brown rice to 3 cups. Did yours calculate 4?

I ended yesterday at 2100 cals, about 300 over. I gave in to my CD1 cravings - wine & Turkish food. Plus cheezits (luckily there was only 1 serving left, but gdi I ate every last crumb!) I *only* had 3 glasses of wine. Normally I could kill the bottle after a long week. So there's that. I got up & ran 6 miles. Had banana oat pancakes for breakfast & a turkey sandwich for lunch. MFP says I still have 1400 cals left (I'm at 18K steps so it's probably close). I'm planning grilled chicken & salad for dinner. I'm meal prepping the Greek bowls too, but I bought tatziki (sp) sauce to make it easier! I'm also prepping breakfast bowls w/ egg, potato, broccoli & bacon.

I'm going to try a Couch 2 5K starting this week. I love this program. I never was a runner until I found this.

I got a real burger with no bun today and it was lower points than the veggie burger with a bun. So I feel like I won!

I'm down 5lbs since I started food tracking/fitbiting!
My goal is ultimately fitness, and I'm definitely not quite there, but it feels nice.
I bought all new pants though at my "goal" size. I'm going to be upset if I have to buy more. Total FWP.

I did actually score $5 Kut from the Kloth and banana republic skinny cords at the thrift store, so if I do drop a size, I'll head back and pick up a couple fill-ins. It's just kind of annoying to have such a varied sized wardrobe. I still fit (depending on brand) in 7-12 pants. Wtf!??

Yes, always check out Salvation Army or Goodwill when shopping for clothes between goals. It'll be easier to let them go when/if you need to.

The dress I wore to a wedding recently is a small and the dress I have for our family pictures coming up is a large. Because that's not confusing at all. I have two nike shirts. One is a small "athletic fit" the other is a large "slim fit". Sizing is dumb, I wish we would just do inches.

Well the in-laws came today and wanted to take us to lunch at an Italian restaurant in the Italian neighborhood. I hate Italian in this city, st. Louis does not do it well. But I still ignored the diet. Also SD wanted frosted sugar cookies from Walmart so I had 2 of those. It's just one day.

trippyalien it's good that you weighed yourself so you can get an idea what kind of change your body goes through during your period. Keep up the movement

We had my daughters 5th birthday party today. 40+ people in my house. I ended up eating two slices of pizza and had a few beers along with chips and ice cream cake. Ugh. Now I have body aches and a teeeible cough. Tomorrow is a new day.

Good morning. I stayed in check last night despite being with my mom and sister's and dd at a birthday party and the mall. We walked all around the outside mall here too.

I ended up taking a non-tracking day yesterday. My food choices weren't great, but I was so frustrated by things for some off reason that it was the best choice for me.
I need to get some things frozen and prepped today for this week. We stocked up on some meat finally so I have some options, but I need to go get some more chicken.

Also Walmart has the steam in bag birds eye veggies for $1 so I plan to get some for easy sides to lunches and dinners. The whole bag is like 75 calories for the broccoli

I had to get rain checks on everything I wanted because they were out. Yeah, we picked up a bunch there. We decided boning and skinning breasts and thighs wasn't worth the price difference so I need to get those yet.

Kale is ruining my breakfast experience. Damn it. I knew I should have grabbed some spinach.
I am determined to have a good food day today and get plenty prepped for the week. DH wants to take food to work as well now, so the quantity will need to be significantly more.
