brux IDK how much this helps, but I have chronic illnesses (one of them being fibro that is trying to kill me today), so really going for it with exercise is just not something I can do at all, especially on a regular basis. I walk everyday for about an hour. No, it's never going to help me get skinny or give me my dream body but my legs are more toned when I'm consistent. Plus, it's good to have me time away from the house where I can clear my head and not look around and think about the 974 things I should be doing instead. I know you said you're thinking more about health and longevity at this stage, and moving your body helps, it doesn't have to be anything strenuous.

The sign up for cardio hip hop is next week and the class starts in October. That means I have more than a month to tinker with walks and a stroll on the elliptical.

You guys, I do not have it in me to exercise this week. I have only gotten in one and a half workouts. I feel so terrible, paired with school starting and being exhausted at the end of the day. I'm frustrated Bc I know that exercise would give me more energy but I just can't. I started last night and barely made it 6 minutes before I just had to stop. I need this cold to F off. I did well on food and water today, and I have avoided some temptations laying around school, so I'm going to celebrate that.

I would like to pull my hair and scream. I know loss isn't linear, but God damn it I shouldn't be gaining at this point. If you have upped your gym routine maybe it's muscle. Do you have any other measurements you can check? Stick with things and don't give up!

I haven't found an exercise I love yet. I have things I like - running and yoga, but I haven't been consistent with them in a long time. So I'm kind of in the fake it until you make it camp. Basically my philosophy right now is "the least I can do is walk, so do that". It's not super catchy or inspiring but it's kind of a poor mans version of a plan. Also, my lazy dog needs the exercise as much as I do, so it works. I'm trying to do walks 3-4 times per week and yoga 2 times. Hopefully as I lose more weight, I will start to want to run again or try something more strenuous. For now, the goal is to just move. I do have a friend irl that loves exercise in a thisbitch level. I admire her so much for it, but it's hard to see myself as that person. She really wants me to try fitness classes with her and she goes to all the new trendy classes. But I'm afraid. I just get in my head that I'm going to embarrass myself or be so out of my element and I don't know. It just holds me back. Tl;dr I need help with exercise too.

I found a hip hop cardio class that meets in my area and it's late enough that I don't make H's evenings miserable, as in I can still make dinner for DS. I'm going to sign up. Hopefully enough other people do so it's not cancelled. I hope it works for you. I find that my aerobics class is more fun because it has good music and good people. It also makes a difference to be out of the house and away from distraction.

I found water aerobics in April and it has been great. It is a high energy, high intensity class. When I started I could barely do 20 min of exercise. Between all the water squats and WW salads my ass is looking great! It's 2 days a week and sometimes I think about adding something on another day but then I remember about everything else. NSV I got promoted to the deep end today for more resistance GhoatMonket thanks for saying that your routine isn't average. Sometimes I feel intimidated by people who have found their passion.

@juliagulia - I'm lucky that I've been SAH or PT, but we've been logging 15-20 miles a week in stroller walks. The big one sings (and if she makes it without crying, she gets a treat) and the little one sleeps.
I'm dreading winter. I know we'll still be able to walk some, but it's been such a mainstay, I'm worried about how to replace it.

I walked tonight and listened to a great podcast and now I have my sleepy dog next to me in bed at 8:30. Life is good.

I've been tracking macros and while I consistently hit my protein and fat, I am always low on carbs.
I probably need to add more veggies, but I'm struggling to find that balance.

Today was the first time I've weighed myself (I weigh once or twice a week) that I didn't lose anything. Boo. I noticed this morning in my class at the y that I can manage more weight now and my body is looking a lot better than a couple months ago. And I'm wearing shorts today that I haven't worn in public in like more than 3 years- before I was pregnant with DD. The lack of weight loss is still kind of bumming me out though because I definitely still have more to lose.

She has many indoor walking workouts ranging 10 - 45 min. I know it doesn't replace the fresh air and getting the kids out of the house, but it's a way to move when you can't get out. My older daughter (6) sometimes will join me.

H and I were able to go out to dinner last night. I didn't have an afternoon snack & we didn't go out to dinner until after 6:30 so I was starving! I ended up eating some bread dipped in oil, 2 glasses of wine, a cup of clam chowder & 1/2 of my Caesar salad. I went over my calorie goal by 50. So not too bad. Today's plan: B: breakfast bowl L: tuna on a wrap, chips D: leftover chicken or leftover eggplant parm w/ salad
I didn't workout this AM but will use my lunch break to take a walk. I can usually fit 2 miles in.

I got home last night after work and am impressed with everything I accomplished in an hour. I made some mini pizzas on Joseph's pita breads, roasted broccoli, and made these baked zucchini tots. I then assembled three yogurt parfaits for breakfasts.
Now I need to calculate the calories on the mini pizzas and zucchini tots to decide if I'll eat them or save them all for DS.

I do an hour of weights two times a week. But I need to do something more. I don't have a gym membership, but I do have an elliptical in the basement that I've used once. I like walking, but I don't know if it's worth the time and effort to get out and walk 45 minutes each day. Like it's not going to make me skinny. I only ask because of the lower calorie goal you have. Seemed low if you were also really active. It's true. If I'm active, I eat more. I still don't get how/why Noom says 1200 is enough for anyone. Any other calculator says higher than that for me, so I ignore Noom.

Hoping to get a workout in today. I ate some cookies that Grandma brought over so I was above my goal yesterday but still in a deficit. I pledged not to weigh myself until the 6 week mark which is mid-September. I'm dying to know if I've lost or gained!

I woke up to CD1 and the worst hormonal breakout I have had in months. I wanted to crawl back in bed......but I didn't. I was pretty sore from lifting yesterday, so I kept my workout low-key and just did a 3 mile walk, my plank challenge, and some stretching/yoga. It felt good to get some activity in before the sun came out.
One thing I have found that helps make walks or runs more pleasant (for me) is to listen to audio books (generally non-fiction). Not only am I getting activity, but I also feel like I am learning things or getting inspired to make positive changes in my life. Not all of them have been great, but I think the routine has really helped keep me on track and snapped me out of the negative and self-limiting thoughts I have struggled with my whole life.

I don't know what came over me. I decided to make the pizzas to use up some pita and while they were baking it dawned on me that I had time to prep the broccoli. and while that was roasting, it dawned on me that I could make the tots with all the zucchini I had shredded last week. I've made these multiple times. Eat them with marinara. www.skinnytaste.com/zucchini-tots/ I tweak the seasonings to be really garlicky and omit the onion because I hate onion.

trippyalien I calculated calories. I used regular (not reduced fat) cheese because that's what I had. 114 calories per serving, 6g fat, 8g carbs, 6g protein. One recipe made 13 tots for me, and the recipe makes 3 servings, so about 4 tots each. It's not a ton, but it's a yummy side to some dinner protein.

Any other calculator says higher than that for me, so I ignore Noom. I have pretty much ignored the calorie goal from Noom. I am starving on 1200 calories per day and then I get so crabby and feel deprived. I am tracking everything, but I usually eat between 1600-1800 per day. I weighed today and I've lost 5.3 lbs in 2 weeks, so I hate to think how many calories I was eating before.

Anyone want to recommend their scale? My cheesy one finally crapped out on me. This is the one we have. I have found it to be pretty accurate, when I go to he doctor or weigh myself on our scale at work it's always within ounces of the same number. EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale with Extra Large Lighted Display www.amazon.com/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_AjWNzbG4WYZGVOooooh. Good price, too. Thank you!
