It's DD1's bday party today! She'll be 6 tomorrow! I'm not stressing about tracking my nutrition today. I started the day w/ a veggie omelette & did a 20 min waking video. I'll be running around a lot today, but wanted to fit in some dedication fitness. I figure I'll have a burger, pasta salad, veggies & dip, chips, & sangria. My plan to to have 1 bite of cake. It's just a sheet cake, so it's not like I'm missing a super special dessert.

Here's my meal plan for the next 6 days.
Sunday: green chili chicken enchilada bake with corn, tomato, black bean salad. I'm going to cut up a jalapeño, cilantro and use lime juice and olive oil pepper and salt for the dressing (bake enchilada recipe I found on Pinterest)
Monday: melt in your mouth baked chicken (tablespoon.com) and roasted broccoli
Tuesday: honey garlic glazed pork chips with brown rice and roasted brussel sprouts. (Pinterest)
Wednesday: slow cooker honey balsamic beef with mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli
Thursday: taco salad
Friday: burgers with sweet potato fries

Yay, bobyn , that's awesome! How do you feel? Motivated! Fitbit asked if I wanted to set a new goal after reaching 170, so my new goal is 150. And I think this success was the icing on DH's cake, because he's finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and start his own diet/exercise plan. He's asked if I will take his before pictures and measurements this evening when he wakes up.

I'm still trying to process this. I got my picture taken with my son today and I can tell the difference. There is no stomach bulge, but my upper body looks huge like a fat body builder. And my calves are ridiculous. I know most of this should be positive transformation but it's a little hard to process getting the changes. Poof

Sunny41, You look great! I can definitely tell the difference. How much have you lost? bobyn, how did you do it? Have you been following a plan? MFP, WW, something else? I took a before shot of me, maybe a week ago or something. I want to lose 30 pound, so my plan was to go a side by side every 10 pounds. I mean, I want you guys to know what you have to look forward to,

I need to try and take before and after shots. I'm sure I have a picture from sometime this summer that could work as my before.

bobyn , how did you do it? Have you been following a plan? MFP, WW, something else? I've been dieting and exercising. No programs or supplements. I recognize that I'm very lucky that our hospital provides a gym, a staff trainer, and a staff nutritionist free of charge. If I had to join a gym and pay for a trainer, I'd be where I was in back in March - waiting for the right motivation to hit me. The trainer and I work together M-F during my lunch hour and we split up zones on a daily schedule - lower body, chest/biceps/triceps, cardio x2, and back/shoulders. I'm also slowly working my way through the C25K program with the hope of completing my first 5K in October. The nutritionist gave me a sample meal plan and I picked it apart to fit my needs and tastes, and to not feel so overwhelmed with options. I basically eat the same thing for lunch every day, and I track everything I eat in MFP. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I've discovered that I actually enjoy exercising. But dieting is the real beast I have to overcome. I love bad foods. So it really is a mental game and I have to make the choice every.damn.day to eat well and stay on track.

bobyn how tall are you? Your 170 looks like my 130. You look fantastic! Thank you! I'm 5'5. After three pregnancies (one of them with twins), there's so much extra fat around my stomach. Even when I hit my final goal, I'm sure I'll need a minor plastic surgery intervention in the form of a mommy makeover.

Back from vacation.
I'm giving myself a B- for the trip.
Pros: I was very active the whole time. Did yoga on my own, went to a class at a local studio, long walks with SIL, an hour of stand up paddle boarding, swimming.
We are in two nights and cooked healthy. We packed lunch most days. No desserts.
I drank a good amount, but way less than I have in the past on the same trip.
I got a lot of sleep between naps and early bed times.
Cons: two nights we had "bad" dinners and I overate both times. One time was BBQ and I ate too much and had a hard time sleeping that night. The other was pizza.
I still drank a lot of calories.
I didn't eat as many fruit and veggies as I should have.
I lost my Fitbit charger so, not sure how many steps I got.
Anyways, back at it again starting tomorrow. I have a low key couple of weeks so probably no drinking and focusing on my work outs.

I made another great dinner. I did chicken fajitas (chicken, bell pepper, onion) over couscous with full fat Mexican cheese and 100 calorie pack of guacamole for around 400 calories. I would have done cauliflower rice instead but we were out and the kids didn't want to go to TJs. This meal was inspired by Friday's confession thread (or was it Thursday?). Anyway.
