Oh, and I made it to the gym this morning for the first time in....months. Tried a new cardio and strength conditioning class and got my ass kicked, but it felt so good!

Speaking of Halo Top. I got a $2 off coupon. I really, really don't like the taste of stevia in yogurt (I bought Oikos triple zero by mistake & it was extremely gross!) I can take a very small amount of it here & there (like 1/8 of a packet). Should I even bother with Halo Top or will my distaste of stevia ruin it for me?

I didn't love Halo Top by any means, but people seem to hate it because of the texture which didn't bother me at all. The flavor and aftertaste weren't horrible to me, but I would rather have a serving of good ice cream occasionally than HT regularly.

As for Halo Top, that's for letting me know about the sugar alcohols. They give me terrible gas! And then everyone in my life suffers...

Did you not look at the ingredients? It's the 3rd one on all but like one or two where it is 4th. Milk & cream, eggs, erythritol, then whatever the hell else.

I don't love ice cream, so my favorite desserty snack is frozen mixed fruit. Dole makes a good bag of it. It's cold and refreshing

Halo top tastes like sadness.
I have a yonanas machine and I way prefer that to any kind of diet ice cream. It doesn't taste like ice cream really, but it tastes really good. I like to do just frozen bananas and unsweetened cocoa powder. It tastes like a chocolate dipped banana.

I got a Fitbit yesterday. I was so against them, but I can see how it is going to help me be accountantable.
I also hit 10K steps before 11am today (3 mile hike and cleaned the rental).
I've been doing ok hitting my macros and started my weekly weigh in. I'm down 3lbs from a few weeks ago and even though the scale is not my goal, I liked the number!

I didn't do great with food today. I was at my moms, so I had a ready to drink protein shake with nothing added in on my way and then completely missed lunch because I was trying to get food into 3 toddlers. I had a handful of tomatoes at some point, but nothing really until dinner where I stuffed myself full of roast and potatoes and just now when I got home I had a bowl of cereal. So, I probably didn't have too terribly many calories today, but they weren't great calories. I'll do better tomorrow.

I'm having basically the same meals tomorrow because meal planning and leftovers, but I packed some better snacks and I will make an effort to eat them.

Your body fights losing weight- this is one way it does that.

I did good at the restaurant last night. I did end up having a few chips with guac that my sister and aunt ordered, but I still stayed in my calorie range.
I am feeling good so far. I think I am finally at the habit stage so I am happy with that. one more week until our Y opens again so I will be able to add exercise in. My mom is going to be teaching a country heat class on Wednesday mornings and I wont be able to go, but she said she will be going to the Tuesday night ones too because she will be that person's fill in if need be so I may do that with her. That will take care of Monday and Tuesdays work outs.

Today's meals: Breakfast: oatmeal and banana Snack: If needed I have strawberries, but I haven't been needing my morning snack. Lunch: Salad with turkey on it Snack: hard boiled egg, cucumbers Dinner: Not entirely sure. I was supposed to do skinnytaste's grilled chicken bruschetta, but it is rainy and I am not sure I want it anymore. I will have to do something with the chicken tenders though.

Another decent day yesterday. For dinner I ended up having an English muffin w/ PB and 1/2 banana. I was hoping to miss the pizza MH and the kids were having, but it arrived 15 min before I left for my appt. I had 1/2 a piece and it was gone by the time I got home. I ended my day at 1925 calories, which I think is fair since I did 40 min of Jillian and took a walk on lunch. No workout today. My food plan: B: breakfast bowl S: yogurt, peach L: chicken fried rice S: cheese stick, banana D: parmesan crusted salmon, rice & roasted zucchini
As planned I've abstained from alcohol all week. My weight tracking day is Friday, but I weigh each AM. I'm down 3 lbs. OK body, I get it, take it easy on the wine.

Good morning ladies! Yesterday was a struggle. It always amazes me how much your mood can affect how you view your meals. Between some dumb tension between H and me yesterday morning and coming into work and realizing I had made a mistake that negatively impacted my bosses schedule, I was in a super not-good mood yesterday. Sticking to my meal plan was torture. I don't know if I have ever enjoyed a salad less and I was SO tempted to say "fuck it" and devour a bag of sun chips instead. But in small victories, I ate the damn salad and kept my snacks to the pre-planned yogurt and a small handful of almonds. I was proud of myself. And then I got home and H had gotten me roses to apologize for being an ass. I hope everyone's day is off to a great start!
