Hellllllllllo I'm back. My BFF was in town over the weekend and I did pretty decent, but not wonderful. I still feel okay about it. I was going to wake up this morning and exercise but I had to wake up at 4:45 am to drive her to the airport. It did show me how easily I can roll out of bed early in the morning if I know I have something I must do, so I'm going to carry that momentum into tomorrow and get up and ride the Peloton in the morning. I have to work exercise into my days. me too. I'm working on a plan now. I am thinking if I change into my workout clothes at the end of the day here at work I could work out for 45 minutes at the Y before picking up dd since her daycare is right next door, but 2 days a week she has a class at 5:15 which wouldn't work for that so I am back to the drawing board.
I do plan to join back into my Monday Zumba class. I would love to go Monday and Wednesday, but it isn't over till 7:30 and that isn't good for dd on Wednesdays when she has swim at 5:15. At least on Mondays I can feed her first before we go back to the Y and then she can just go right to bed when we get home

Good morning, ladies.
I had a pretty good weekend eating wise—stuck with whole, unprocessed foods and a TON of veggies.....but I did also consume more beers than I probably should have. I did reach all movement goals on my Apple watch both days (my goal is to hit them every day of August) and I am down 6 lbs total in the 2 weeks I have been weighing myself. I am feeling pretty good about that.
I woke up at 5 AM for a nice, intense weight training workout this morning and am feeling motivated for this new week. I probably should have done better about meal planning for lunches, but I think I will hit up the grocery store during my break to stock up on salad ingredients.

Hey guys! I'm not nooming, but I'm trying to lose weight and this is the most active thread so I'm joining in on this one.
I spent the past 2 years in nursing school and taking care of my now 2 year old DD while not in class, and thanks to the stress of that combo, I hovered pretty close to my end of pregnancy weight until I finally graduated nursing school in May. Since May, I'm down about 10 lbs (can't say exactly how much because I got too depressed about it and just stopped even weighing myself at my biggest) and finally starting to feel more like my old self.
We moved in June and I took the move as an opportunity to just sort of start fresh with my food and exercise routine and it's been great. My food "rule" is to only cook really healthy good stuff at home and only keep the house stocked with healthy stuff, and then when we go out (it's only usually like once or twice a week) I can eat whatever I want. It's been a really good balance so far. I joined the Y and have discovered a love of group exercise classes. I actually look forward to working out now because it's my me time (... mostly it's a guaranteed hour of not taking care of anyone- patients, my child, or my husband).
So for now I'm just trying to keep my motivation going because I'd still like to lose at least another 10 lbs, and probably more like 15-20. We'll see though. I'm not so much stressed about pounds as I am about just feeling fit, feeling good in my clothes, having energy to go about my day.

After a crappy weekend, I'm feeling better & ready for a good week. I made egg, broccoli, potatoes & chicken sausage for about 300 calories. It kept me full until lunchtime (which I happened to have a little early due to a meeting today). So I didn't have a snack this AM. L: chicken veggie fried rice (homemade, meal prep) S: veggies, cheese stick D: ? H is going out tonight & i forgot! I was going to make skinny taste chicken parm but I'll save that for tomorrow.

I haven't grocery shopped, so I'm winging it at the work cafeteria today. Luckily breakfast was an egg/spinach/ham/potato "strata," so I had that and coffee.
I'm also making my goal to hit 10k steps today. I usually struggle on work days, because although I feel like I'm running all day it's a lot of running to sit lol.

Well.
I didn't lose any weight last week and I barely went over my calories (I think only by about 50 on two days).
Woof.

Being a girl is so dumb some days. This week's weight is that worst it's been in a while, but I also let things slip way more than I should have.
I have plenty of things in place to prevent that this week. Now I just need DH to stop jacking up my plans.

After my recent gain on WW, I'm taking a new approach to my regular meals. I cut 3 points from my salad just by using less chickpeas and less cheese. I have been eating too much and not tracking accurately, so I'm making cuts where I can and trying to not eat my kids leftover lunch and dinner.

I know my enthusiasm will wane, but for now I'm rahrah diet.
I grilled a pound of salmon last night, woke up this morning to prep yogurt parfaits and lunch salads for the first half of the week. My fridge is overflowing with fruits and veggies in various containers, all ready for me to use as side dishes for meals this week.
I still need to plan out actual dinners but I'm not too concerned.

I was thinking should we do a dietbet? Did that work for people?

I love when I am in rahrah diet mode. So much easier to make it happen when the motivation is in a good place.

I would host one, but I don't think they worked for me. Like, I won, but I gamed the system, so ultimately it was pointless for me :-)

I'm just in here lurking and titting.
I need.... something motivating.
Maybe I'll join for real after my cousin's wedding this weekend.

The transformer was good for me, but kickstarters are pretty meh for me. I won enough on my last one that I have kicked around doing another transformer though.

Weighed in. Down 3.2 pounds. So I'm at 9.4# lost! That's great; keep it up!

I'm on day 5 of prednisone and want to eat my arm off. That was a sympathy tit. I had to take a steroid for my all over body hives break out last week and I ate like a MOFO. Seriously, WTH? And that's what derailed my latest motivation. I had zero fucks left to give. Hope you're off it soon!

FINE. I'll take the hint DietBet.

Of course I was up again after all the wine and fun this weekend, but I limited to two days of slack (and really only two meals) and I'm back at it again. That's how I need to handle this because I have four weekend trips over the next two months and need to just be happy with a little ebb and flow.

I have a whole spreadsheet with all sorts of metrics that would probably stress a lot of people out but it makes me see my progress.

I also like to weigh daily because it helps curb a lot of my unnecessary late night snacks or 2nd/3rd dinner helpings.

angelashly, I did a diet bet 2 years ago, the kick starter where you lose 4% of your weight in 4 weeks. I won, but in my last week I found out I was KU w/ DD2, so I didn't keep going. I just joined one that started today, I'm hoping that keeps me motivated to stick with it through labor day weekend.

I've had times where it made me an obsessive mess, but lately I've been really good with it. I try to keep decent notes with it now so I can explain outliers a couple months down the road.

The weekend was terrible and today was full of carbs. I will be getting back on the train for dinner. Tomorrow will be better.
