I'm glad I weighed myself Friday to see a semi true weight because I'm due for CD1 tomorrow and I feel the bloat despite eating light yesterday after that breakfast and ending with 200 calories left

And now I've gone back to read the intros and have more to add. RTMFTBYP....
I am in my mid 30s, closer to 40. I have two DDs, 6 and 1. I've been fat since about first grade. I managed to lose about 40 pounds after DD1, but I've been going up since then. I had gestational diabetes with my second child, and while I know that can happen to anyone, I feel a lot of guilt because I wonder if my being so overweight while I carried her contributed to that. She wasn't born too early, but she did have some issues at birth that kept her in NICU for about two weeks, and I can't help but blame myself for that.
I have gone the path of super strict diets before, and while they work in the short term they are not sustainable for me, and usually fizzle out by 2-3 weeks.
The reason I'm here now is that by the end of last school year someone posted a pic on FB and I was in the background. I begged for it to be taken down. It was humiliating. I was/am huge. I had about four work outfits that I could wear and was even wearing late term maternity pants. I decided I needed to change that before I went back to work, and summer would give me enough time to ingrain some new habits.
My downfalls are salty and carbs. It's a lot easier for my to avoid dessert than to avoid bread and pasta. I gave up wine because when I have it in the house, I drink a glass or two every night. That also means I don't work out (my kids are super early risers...morning workouts don't work in our house.). So, my first step was no wine.
After a couple weeks I made a conscious effort to drink more (any) water. I now drink it all day long. Then I added eating more vegetables, tracking calories (1500-1600), exercising, not eating after dinner, and trying to replace carbs with protein.)
All of those changes too a while to sink in. The weight has been coming off, slowly at times, but I usually lose a pound or a little more a week.
I want to be healthy. I want my joints to not hurt (I have actually reached this goal). I want my daughters to have a healthy role model. I want to believe my husband when he says I look good. I want to wear pretty clothes and not hate shopping. I want to not freak out of a picture of me shows up online.
Anyway, that's me. Thanks for having me!

Good morning! I weighed myself to see the vacation damage and wish I had wasted the calories on something more rewarding than wine buzz snacking, but that's probably something I should try to remember for next vacation. We've traveled a lot this summer, and I am looking forward to being home (and eating healthy) for a stretch. Plus, I want to start getting in shape for the holidays and all of the friends and family we'll see then. Also, I missed JG's sexy dress shot from last night, so I'm asking for a recap here. YGPM

I was out of control yesterday. I need to add all the food I ate to my log and I will because I know in the long run it will help me. I really wanted to ignore this thread today so I'm proud I didn't and came in to say I ate a lot.

I went to the store to get what I need to prep my lunches for the week. Once DD2 goes down for her nap it's on. I also bought salt and seasonings to make lunch from home more appetizing so that I'm not tempted to skip and and order lunch.
Also, does anyone make tuna salad in the morning to eat later in the day? I don't know why I think if it's already mixed it will be gross by lunch time.

I want to share a yummy and easy meal idea! Zucchini pancakes with lemon yogurt sauce. Birch benders Protein pancake mix. I used 1/4 cup and about 1.5 ounces of water. Added some garlic powder and about 1/4 cup shredded zucchini (I squeezed out excess liquid from zuc first). Cooked like a regular pancake. Sauce: a big spoonful of Greek yogurt. Mix in lemon juice and garlic powder, salt and pepper. All to taste. So yummy!!!

That made one salad plate sized pancake. About 130 calories total!

H kept coming through and picking veggies off the pan to snack on. This is me everytime I roast veggies. I start eating them as soon as they exit the oven.

I'm Nooming, and part of that is that I work with my coach each week to set a SMART goal for the week. I thought I'd share mine and invite everyone to make a SMART goal of their own and to share them if you want.
We were on vacation last week, which meant a lot of indulging on my part, so my goal for this week is no alcohol and to meet my calorie goal everyday.
My goal for my vacation week (as an example) was to only drink on the days I exercised. (I think my coach thought would temper my vacation indulging but she clearly doesn't know me well.)

I ended my day at 2100 calories. Not great, but I just wasn't up to cooking. I've had a headache for more than a day. I was able to meal prep by breakfasts & lunches for the week. I skipped my workout this morning. And I think I'm ordering pizza for dinner. I just don't feel like cooking. On another note, I joined a diet bet. 4% of my weight by September 10th.

I also have a roast going for lunches instead of pasta.
I made pico, boiled eggs, those eggs, sweet potatoes m, and cut veggies.
My aunt called to take dd for the day on Wednesday and said we could meet at chilis for dinner so I can get dd. I'm now in the website to find something to eat there

I'm home alone for a few days so I'm cooking a big pot of the skinny taste chicken soup for my soul to have for dinner tonight and lunch all week. H and DS don't love soup so I'm indulging while they are gone.

Hi ladies! I've mostly lurked the WW thread, but fell off the wagon a long time ago. I'm finally feeling the motivation to get my shit together again, so here I am.
Quick about me: 31, two girls ages 6.5 and 2. Nurse, work 3 12hr shifts per week (and usually more). I've been overweight pretty much my whole life. Lost 50 pounds after college, slowly gained some back before DD1 was born. Lost 25 or so after DD1 and then gained it +10 back when struggling TTC #2. Currently hovering around my pregnancy weight from DD2 😔
So, here I am. Hope you all will have me!

I've had kind of a rough weekend. When I'm home alone with the kids for 3 days, I have a really hard time sticking to a plan.
I make them relatively healthy kid meals, but then that's all I eat as well, which is not so healthy for me.
I at least get good workouts so I think it balances out.

Welcome, kittyforman! Please feel free to come check in even when you're not feeling motivated or having a great day nutrition wise. I promise you're not the only one who struggles. angelashly, great job! How do you feel? It's always so nice to see effort rewarded. PS angelashly, I have a harder time with weekend workouts, too. A couple of things that help me- I often make plans to meet a friend for a workout (or a hike.) It's harder to bail on a friend than a workout. I also get dressed right into my workout clothes, as soon as I roll out of bed. AND I schedule my workouts (usually a class unless I'm meeting a friend for a hike) for first thing in the morning. The longer I sit around thinking about working out, the less I want to do it, so getting moving before I have time to sit down or to think helps keep me from talking myself out of it.

Good morning! I am back at home and went to my regularly scheduled Monday class, which kicked my ass in a good way. It was fun to visit a different studio last week on vacation, but being at my home studio is good in a more comfortable way.
It's our last week of summer before school starts, so we've got a bunch of last week of summer adventures planned.

Thanks for the tips! I am hoping to start adding in at least walks because my daughter loves doing "family walks".
I actually feel good. I can't really see a difference of course because I have a lot to lose, but I feel not so full and I have some more energy.
Our Y is now semi closed for the next 2 weeks, but then I plan to add workouts in.
